Whoa buddy that means (70%+60%)× multipler of 3 = +390% bonus scores since these 2 are on the same bonus squad.

Can you please share with us what upgrade level is your Airachnid and Windblade?

I find Airachnid level 12 ok but the bubbles travel too slowly and armour not enough. Acid rounds are usable and her bubbles pushes or destroys the grey blocks.

My Windblade at level 9… same… sigh.

I have a more basic problem I can’t even find the challenge. I also couldn’t find it last time. I get the message that there is a live challenge. Anyone got a clue what I’m doing wrong?

Hi there. I was in the same situation like you, waiting and not upgrading my iPad3 iOS 9.3.5, combing forums and found that announcement on Facebook approx 23:45 Friday night UTC / GMT+0 (see post on page 3).

In short, i bit the bullet and took a chance to upgrade from 1.23.3.9 whoch was purposely stuck due to disabling of auto updates.

12 hours ago updated to new 1.24.10 and there were no loss of characters or gems or graphics glitches. All is well. PHEW!

Thank goodness my facebook was connected in ABT before all this happened.

@armourbender Both my bots are level 15 and fully decked with accessories (minus those useless “Transform Power” ones). And yes, got 1000 tokens with 53K (probably the highest I have ever achieved). It helped that I got Unicron and Boss pig many times yesterday. Today also #1 with 8K currently (although I have the sparks and playing just for tokens in case they drop a new robot out of the blue).

I still cannot access any events on Android. Should I just clear my game’s cache and resume via Facebook? I haven’t been able to do an event since the first bad update was released. It still shows the end of the Chinese New Year one, where the first time I select it, I get a prize, and the second time, I get 999 of (blank) and there is no exiting that screen.

Edit: Never mind, clearing the game’s data fixed the problem.

@audioman612 You can clear cache but only if you have a backup. Clearing cache would mean wiping off your save and if you don’t have a backup (online or local), you will be screwed. So proceed with caution.

I figured out one of the things I like about the competition. I think we all have one or two people who spend gems like mad in the first hour. (I am guessing this might be some of you) In my board, I had one who jumped up to 38,000 points. What I love is spending the next day slowly catching up with little gem spending. I just passed the leader up with only 1 gem refill. I like that this reinforces the idea that you can do well without spending gems like mad.

Competition report – Day 2:

Logged in with 5 minutes left on the countdown clock, saw that I was languishing in 8th place.

Two charges remaining, and my only hope of leapfrogging into the 4-6th place group is a Unicron run.

Go into a competition run, see that it’s not Unicron, exit immediately.

Start my final run with 3m15s left on the timer.

UNICRON!

Kill Unicron with EGL in a dessert node (almost missed it because there was a loooooong line of Falling Mortar Towers that I had to run past at one point).

Score: 2,655 pre-bonus + 105% bonus.

Hard closed the app with 33s left on the timer.

Log back in 2 minutes later to claim.

Result: 5th place.
