    Has she got greyhound blood in her?

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    Think she has goat blood, judging by her skipping through rocks and boulders up on the mountains today.

    Anyway, time for Miss April, in the aftermath of her operation last year. Poor thing still befuddled by the anaesthetic, sat there for about an hour not knowing what had hit her.

    And wondering how she became a conehead! Perfect picture for April 1 = total April Fool’s joke. So glad she is back to her happy, healthy, exploring self 😃

    Way to go Cory Booker. 25 hours without a bathroom break!

    My word of the day is KAKISTOCRACY – the government of a state by its most stupid, ignorant, least qualified and unprincipled citizens in power. ‘Nuff said.

    The girls are back in town.

    And I HATE living in a kakistocracy at the moment!!!

    You might not be the only one @catsnbirds. Ask @hunnybunny. She normally has some views on the subject,

    The cricket season starts today. That will make it rain.

    I’m in shock. Not from Trump (I think that’s actually an impossibility now). No, Derbyshire have actually won their first County Championship match. This is unprecedented in living memory. It’s not the despair that kills you, it’s the hope…

    And Hampshire too @hunnybunny, if that’s who you are supporting this week.

    I can’t let it go @brianN!  Does getting the high score on a Challenge (AB 3-10) four days late still count as a runt?  I’m claiming it. If anyone beats that they will be extremely lucky. And I will be crying. I was riled by losing 2-17 earlier in the week. Bear. Poked.

    I worry about you sometimes @desperate-dan.

    So sorry to hear about all those blue collar MAGA’s who now feel ‘duped’.What do you think Jason? https://youtu.be/4FM7XeaSO0M?si=PANZCS2v0bNiGvvd

    Another angry man. Think I played this before, to Kathy’s horror.  A drop dead HMHB classic.

    Hey @hunnybunny, finally got Wordle in one guess. After 1395 attempts!

    HunnyBunny
    @hunnybunny

    What word? Dan
    Still on your streak? Albeit, I seem to remember, there was a broken bit “which didn’t count” for some unknown reason

    HunnyBunny
    @hunnybunny

    Every thing comes in threes
    Having had the house redecorated, we rehung a picture in exactly the place
    And hit two water pipes
    Newly painted wall suddenly has a weird (ghost like) patch of damp
    Which appears and disappears
    And the measure twice rule didn’t work, glass shelves just a little too big

    Never mind, four weeks today: in Calpe!

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    Better turn the water off when you are away @hunnybunny. I am nervously eying up  drilling some holes in the kitchen and you have put me off, big time.

    The word was my regular starter CREST.  I have switched over to LATER now and got 2,2 on the first two days with it. My streak of consecutive wins is 943, although my phone doesn’t say that because I forgot to play one day and I had to catch up using the archive. There’s a guy from New Zealand on the forum who has played the last 1100 games or so and never lost. He’s also only had a handful of 6s whereas I have about 50. He only seems to get 2s and 3s. He always starts with TALER so I thought LATER might be a good bet too.

    Hi @HunnyBunny hope your knee is OK for the Calpe slopes, must admit my right knee was playing me up when I got back from Spain (walking average 12 miles per day) doc said repetitive strain injury naproxam pain killer for a  week and fine. Have you been right to the top of calpe at the train station. €4.8 for a day between benidorm and Denia. Took in altea, calpe and denia by tram/train views from train spectacular.  Going back 18th October for 3 weeks this time got a fantastic deal at the excellent port benidorm hotel all inclusive for £408 per person a week including flights and transfers. Could not ask for a better hotel for accommodation, food and location only negative was only amstel and fosters beer, not my cup of tea.

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    Does Benidorm have hedges @ixan57?

    ixan57
    @ixan57

    @DesperateDan strangely enough I was having a look at the hedges, weird plastic affect just like the artificial pitch scenario. Would prefer to go back to Amsterdam and jump a few dykes .

    ixan57
    @ixan57

    @Desparte Dan I think coming up to the holiday period @BrainN will be busy in his shed/garage manufacturing or refurbishing broom sticks

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    Or he just doesn’t have any dodgy jokes about dyke jumping.

    HunnyBunny
    @hunnybunny

    Ian, our lovely driver (Jose) drives us from Alicante to Calpe along the same route
    Stunning
    Didn’t know a Dyke could jump, unless a little Dutch Boy stuck his finger in the hole
