    Still lurking @HunnyBunny off to benidorm on the 18th

    @hunnybunny

    Love the apostrophe, Dan

    Off to Bristol next month to see the Tina Turner musical at the Hippodrome, staying at our favourite hotel. Can get it cheap on booking.com or such, but book direct you get 20% off food and drink, which we obviously make the most of

    Calpe, Spain, our eighth visit, in May

    And about to book a Christmas Cruise

    But from June to December is on hold, due to waiting for the other knee replacement, NHS this time, should be June, but one can never tell…

    @hunnybunny

    Benidorm?
    It’s thirty minutes south from Calpe, but a million miles away!

    Mixing knees @hunnybunny, sure that’s wise? You may end up walking round in circles.

    Just noticed that your birthday is marked on my kitchen calendar. Not sure what I had in mind when I did that…

    I’ll think of something appropriate, ha-ha.

    The non-appearance of ABo Challenges goes on. We must be up to 3-4 weeks now.

    Just booked an ODI Eng x WI
    Six years ago St. Lucia
    This year: Cardiff
    Guess I won’t be wearing shorts and a sun hat

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    But you need to show off your shiny new knees.

    Talking of cricket, my mathematician friends and I were discussing the probability of India losing 15 consecutive ODI tosses. I won’t go into the numbers but the media have not covered themselves in glory here.

    Which reminds me, ludicrous quiz answer of the day – Kalvin Phillips apparently ran an average of over 2000 miles per match during the Euros.  The answer was about 8.

    My mum has just had her hip replaced(NHS rather quickly done-the old post code lottery)Rather confused atm said “I’ll sleep in any bed I want to and if I want to pee on the floor I will!”.She seems to be mellowing in her old age.

    @briann

    You’re game @hunnybunny buying tickets to watch England play an ODI the art of pacing an innings of 50 overs has been lost by them.They’re on a bigger losing streak than those Indian tossers.

    @ixan57

    @HunnyBunny intend going to calpe for a day. Can’t access old BP posts, is calpe the place where you said there was a nice little pub a walk up a hill?

    Brian N
    @briann

    Speaking of losing streaks is that 16 on the bounce now for Wales?Wouldn’t they just love to break that hoodoo on Saturday?Seen enough from them in the last two games to suggest it’s possible as England are treading water under Borthwick.

    @desperate-dan

    I don’t know who to support.

    I think I just basically hate rugby.

    Had to play it, age 11 at school without my glasses so I couldn’t see anything.

    Couldn’t wait for the summer term so I could play cricket. Then as soon as the summer term arrived I got bronchitis and the doctor signed me off games for six weeks.

    Bit of a mini rumpus surrounding Mastermind when a few stuffed shirts complained about it’s dumbing down when a contestant chose Friday Night Dinner as his specialist subject.Mizoids,me and the daughter love that show and Mr Morris has legendary status in our household.So what would you guys choose as your specialist subject?Me probably the life and works of Mark Edward Smith predictably.

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    Well it has dumbed down. The very first champion in 1972 had the incredibly niche History of Music 1550-1900 as their specialist subject. Magnus Magnesium is probably turning in his grave at modern subjects. I also know the daughter of the 1975 Mastermind Champion (no Brian, his specialist subject was not The 1975).

    How about Mastermind itself as a subject?

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    Just found out my neighbour is travelling down to see the Wales v England match this weekend. I just said carefully “may the best team win”. I think I may have got away with that one.

    Twiggy available for predictions etc etc…

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    We need some more from the girls.

    Brian N
    @briann

    Stuffed shirt.

    Brian N
    @briann

    See they’re headlining Glasto this year.(Not the Stuffed Shirts The 1975).

    Brian N
    @briann

    Will you be hanging the cross of St George flag outside in your garden?

    HunnyBunny
    @hunnybunny

    Ian, will message you on Calpe

    Cardiff will be pulling out all the stops tomorrow
    Dragons, National Anthem, Bonny Tyler, Brain’s SA (better known as “Skull Attack”)
    Max Boyce, hopefully The Stereophonics and Manic Street Preachers
    England know…

    Brian N
    @briann

    Just so we know are you wanting Wales to win?

    Try Brian’s skull attack,it’s delicious.

    Brian N
    @briann

    Wales certainly pranged england’s U20 Grand Slam hopes maybe that’s an omen.Twiggy?

    More important matters…https://youtu.be/blikKjazASA?si=o0BFyUqYjluMarin

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    Max Boyce – I’ve just added him to the list of people who I thought had died years ago. I thought he was ancient back in the 1970s. I was clearly wrong, but living in Wales ages you before your time, obviously.

    Add to list: Giant inflatable leeks. Daffodil heads. The inflatable leeks are probably banned come to think of it. Real leeks then.

    Twiggy and I will be cheering Wales on. She’s on a win bonus.

    Brian N
    @briann

    Oh dear!I’m blaming Max Boyce.

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    The last few minutes were just cruel. Twiggy didn’t get her win bonus. Sent to her crate without her tea.
