Good and Bad

Home Forums Angry Birds Epic Forum Good and Bad

  • Hi, I made this topic to give the Good and Bad of a headgear. I’ll post one bird at a time so I don’t have to make my post very long and it’ll be easier to find a bird

    Red

    Knight

    Good
His attack makes all the enemies attack him. Has a high defense boost

    Bad
Defense boosts can only shield one bird and his attack makes all the enemies attack him every turn if Red keeps attacking.

Guardian (100 snoutlings) Location: Cobalt Plateaus

    Good
Weakens an enemies attack and defense boosts all allies.

    Bad
His defense boost isn’t that high. Deals the least damage out of all of Red’s headgears.

Samurai (115 snoutlings) Location: Limestone Lagoon

    Good
Gives high defense boosts to all allies. His attack gives you a better chance of stunning, critical, dispels, etc. Great to use against Prince Porky.

    Bad
Defense boost only lasts one turn and his attack is ineffective with Ironclad enemies.

Paladin (60 Lucky Coins) Location: Star Reef

    Good
Red heals most hurt enemy when he attacks upgrading Paladin would make him a very powerful Tank.

    Bad
Devotion is ineffective against high AOE attacks. Paladin can’t heal if attack is dodged.

Avenger (1000 snoutlings) Location: Old Nesting Burrows

    Good
His attack becomes more powerful when his health goes down. Makes enemies attack a target for 2 rounds and the target takes 20% less damage.

    Bad
Healing red makes his attack weaker.

    Chuck

    Mage

    Good
He attacks all enemies. He can give an ally a Shock Shield and can be useful when using Princess, Avenger and other headgears that force an enemy to attack you.

    Bad
Shock is only for 1 ally.

Lightning Bird (115 snoutlings) Location: Cobalt Plateau

    Good
His attack has a 65% chance to immediately remove helpful effects from all enemies. His passive ability makes a bird attack during his turn.

    Bad
Weaker than mage. His passive ability makes a bird attack a random enemy.

Rainbird (200 snoutlings) Location: Pirate Coast

    Good
He attacks everyone and his attack does over time damage. Can heal and remove harmful effects on target.

    Bad
His attack is ineffective against Ironclad bosses and the overtime damage of the attack doesn’t work on pirates.

Wizard (500 snoutlings) Location: Snowy Peak

    Good
One of the most powerful of Chuck’s class can produce a stun shield and boosts rage chili.

    Bad
Can’t attack all of the pigs.

ThunderBird (275 Lucky Coins) Location: Giant Red Valley (friendship gate)

    Good
Boosts everyone with lightning shield lasts 1 more turn than Mage. Target takes +25% damage.

    Bad
Expensive. You need facebook friends to open the gate, people without facebook have to pay 25 lucky coins to open the gate.

    Matilda

    Cleric

    Good
Heals all birds when she attacks. Healing shield heals all birds when they are attacked.

    Bad
Healing shield doesn’t heal that much.

Druid (200 snoutlings) Location: Limestone Lagoon

    Good
Her attack does over time damage totaling 300 or more. Healing heals all birds.

    Bad
Target bird gets the most health and other birds get half.

Princess (250 snoutlings) Location: Star Reef

    Good
She can get enemies to attack the bird with most health. She has a cleansing heal.

    Bad
If she keeps attacking the enemies will go for the bird with most health every turn for 3 turns. Not very good for Chronicle Caves as bosses are very strong and you have to go through 5-10 waves.

Priest (2000 snoutlings) Cobalt Plateaus (behind red gate)

    Good
If priest attacks a target and other birds attack the same target they regain some of their health. Spirit Link shares received healing with connected bird.

    Bad
Only one bird can be connected to receive shared healing each turn. Enemies with dispel attacks make links useless.

Bard (95 Lucky Coins) Location: Northern Sea

    Good
Does a lot of damage and has a 15% chance to stun a target for 1 turn. Could be the strongest class.

    Bad
Healing is not very good as they only heal for a few health and heal for half of that health for 3 turns.

    Bomb

    Pirate

    Good
Increases allies attack power with his passive ability.

    Bad
Not very good, only attacks one enemy and attack power is only increased by 25%

Cannoneer (250 snoutlings) Location: Great Cliffs

    Good
Weakens enemies attack power. Does 3x X damage very useful against ninjas. His passive ability counters an enemy when they attack him.

    Bad
    Counter attack is weak.

Berserk (500 snoutlings) Location: Snowy Peak

    Good
As rage chili fills up he becomes stronger.

    Bad
When you use rage chili he becomes weak. If you use his passive ability on a low health bird it does low damage.

Capt’n (750 snoutlings) Location: Northern Sea

    Good
His attack immediately remove helpful effects on an enemy. His passive ability makes an ally stronger.

    Bad
    None.

Sea Dog (275 Lucky Coins) Location: Cobalt Plateaus

    Good
Deals the highest damage out of Bomb’s headgear. His passive ability makes him attack twice without losing a turn.

    Bad
Becomes less powerful when his HP drops.

    Red
    @james1562

    The Blues Jake, Jay, Jim

    Tricksters

    Good
Deals high damage. Passive ability makes all allies attack stronger and removes all harmful effects on them.

    Bad
    None.

Rogues (200 snoutlings) Location: Pirate Coast

    Good
Over time damage is very strong.

    Bad
His over time attack doesn’t work on pirates and cupcake trap isn’t very good in some situations.

Spies (300 snoutlings) Location: Winter Wonderland

    Good
Ignores passive effects/buff effects such as Ironclad, dodge, etc, As long as the target is not directly hit. Heals for 3 turns.

    Bad
Heals very little unless you do BIG damage on a target.

Marksmen (500 snoutlings) Location: Bamboo Forest (behind friendship gate)

    Good
His attack makes an enemy suffer 25% damage per attack. Ambush makes a targeted bird take damage instead of blues but if an enemy attacks the targeted bird the blues counter attack.

    Bad
Ambush isn’t great with low health birds.

Skulkers (150 Lucky Coins) Location: Old Nesting Burrows

    Good
Does high damage and enemy takes +30% damage for 2 turns. Tricksy Trick moves a bird’s harmful effects to enemies.

    Bad
Not good to use in Porktuga and Limestone Lagoon since there are pirates there and pirates are immune to harmful effects.

    wolkenwand
    @wolkenwand

For addition cleric healing shield is good for aoe attack, each attack on the bird heals 15% of the attack damage, it means 45% damage is reduced if all birds get attacked simultanously. I learn this when fight chronicle cave 5 boss using cleric on my team.

Little mistake on the Sea Dog, you said he gets stronger when his health lowers, but he actually gets weaker so that would be a con since you have to keep his health up to maintain that power.

Sea Dog: Deals x damage. The damage is decreased 1% per 1% health lost.

    Rhino
    @rhinofreak

    What’s aoe attacks?
Also, please proof read the whole, lots of of english mistakes.

Add in Thunderbird’s Bad that its very expensive

    wolkenwand
    @wolkenwand

Aoe is area of effect. Its an attack that damage all of the target, the wizpig and chuck mage attack is an aoe attack because they damage all of their target.

@james1586 — It is standard practice to define an acronym the first time it is used, especially if it is not commonly known. A lot of Nesters are not broadly experienced gamers, so don’t know the jargon.

I read it wrong I thought It said increased thanks for pointing that out.

    @squeakymcgee

I’d say one major downside of the Priest class is that you have to spend almost every turn reestablishing links with your allies to keep the communal healing going. And if you’re fighting enemies with Dispel attacks, she’s nearly useless. Also lacks a cleanse effect (though that’s more of a reason why I prefer Princess than anything against Priest).

    Thanks Squeaky McGee!

    @redbirdy639

It should be Pros and Cons not Good and Bad

    RedBirdy639
    @redbirdy639

    I could improve them:

    Knight
pros: Has the highest defense boost of all Red’s classes (along with Ronin)

    Paladin
pros: You can use this class to take damage for the target bird so you can heal it while it is protected.

    Avenger
cons: Has the weakest defense boost of all classes (first being Knight, second being Samurai, 3rd being Paladin, 4th being Guardian and 5th being Avenger). It should not be recommended to use Avenger and Sea Dog both in a level.
