Firepower: Arcee vs. Airachnid

Anyone else find it odd that Arcee is radically under-powered in comparison to Airachnid?

For example:

Both of the ladies are at L15.

Airachnid can take as much as half a bar of life from a Mortar Tower with a hit from just 1 out of 5 bubbles. On the other hand, Arcee could hit a Mortar Tower with all five bubbles and barely make a dent in it.

Bug, or by design? Thoughts?

I noticed this way back, single shots would actually blow up the morter tower, both were about level 6 as I recall. Seems to be back to normal these days, at level 11 now.
