Wait, I’m wondering if this is actually the same guy or if the picture has been randomised somehow.

I’ve been having my doubts about the players in my league. I’ve been trying to find some of those players and have not found a single one. Most people in my FB list are named somehow but I can’t find any of them in the leagues. I have also not been able to find a single player from any league on facebook.

Question to everyone, has any one of you ever had an identifiable person in your league? Have you ever been able to find any opponent on facebook?

@Killerkea Statically 35.8 percent of all active players at the time of the tourney start wont make it out of wood. Assumption 1 no one levels up during the event entering late. Assumption 2 Rovio is only using active accounts after the first week. Precise numbers are impossible without specifics but they will be close.

@larry – No, it’s the same guy. He has changed his name twice so far on my leader board, once in English but usually in Spanish. I tried cropping out his image and doing a google image search but his facebook is obviously set to private because I got nothing.

Didn’t realise it was a cheat. Don’t get me wrong I’m not going to do it, I’ve deleted my progress off epic. I’d got 906 stars and the PvP is a waste of life

Do you know what I thinks is a dead ringer to find cheats. The level 41 players on your facebook friends that don’t give or ask for friendship essence. I asked everyday and replied to everyones as you need them and need to stock them at some stuff needing 10 a spin and we all know how many spins it can ‘randomly’ take to get the item you want! Why don’t they ask for friendship essence? Why don’t they reply? Cod they have thousands of messages maybe from never needing essence

I’m in platina league. Half of those players are all cheaters.
It really sucks and I don’t think Rovio would punish them.

@skaku, Rovio will not punish, no. But they will disable the possibility for cheating. Also, honestly, this board is not so bad. Normal player scores will likely add up with about 6000 to 9000 per day. Maybe the top 2 is cheating, but the rest?

Finally got a response from Rovio. Nothing new, but just wanted to share:

We’re aware of these issues with the pvp feature. We’re working hard to get this sorted out, but can’t make any promises for dates.
Hopefully we can fix the problems and make the pvp feature enjoyable for you soon!

@skaku that leaderboard seems O.K to me and I wouldn’t say anybody cheats. I have score of 40 k today and haven’t reset objective once.

@skaku — How far are you into the week at the point those were taken? The fact that any legit players made it into platinum at all is a somewhat good sign. It would seem to suggest a total cheater rate of less than 1%. I had always assumed that Rovio did not assign players to boards randomly but used some type of handicap. If that truly is the case then there may be a chance for legit players after all.

@skaku – very interesting Screenshot there. AAG is also on my Gold League leaderboard with the exact same score. How can he be in Gold and Platinum League at the same time?

Amazing, Rovio has absolutely no control over the game whatsoever. I know the name shown on the leader board is independent of your account so he must have at least two accounts. And it would also appear he is just spoofing a score to the servers and probably not playing at all. Total waste of life.

I’m up to 36k and am first in my Silver league, I’m pretty happy to play in a league with no cheaters. I hope it will be the same in gold next week.

@larry — You asked a few pages ago if I felt like starting a new forum thread on statistics in Epic. You also said you would be willing to start one, but did not want to maintain it. Why not?
The answer to the question about my doing it is no. Really should have been obvious to me earlier. I already have too much that I am trying to keep current on ABN, and not doing very well at it.
FYI — This is what I’m trying to maintain:
ABN Members’Map (in groups)
Self-Destroying and Unstable levels in the General forum. I’m way behind on updates.
Epic Mastery
I have started quite a few other forums/threads over the years, but fortunately they not longer require much attention.
Oh yes, aren’t most of us here because we enjoy actually playing the AB games? It seems like a lot of Epic players only play Epic. I play all the regular AB games and try to be above average in all levels in all games except Friends and SW II. Not succeeding all the well ATM. It takes some time.

No worries, no expectations here at all.

I was just thinking since I’ve noticed you have been crunching down on many of the numbers in here. A thread like that would enable you to centralise and consolidate your efforts on this subject while at the same time provide with a single thread for all that statistical data generated by everyone.

I mean, you’re busy with the golden pig stats, dojo shopfront, XP/mastery collection, you name it. From what I’ve seen in my (compared to you) *very* short involvement here, you’re definitely the lead geek (where geek is really meant as a compliment as in all of us are and you’re the pro).

To answer your first question, I don’t want to maintain it since I already feel responsible for this cheaters thing and I’ve been spending a bit too much time on it already. The cheating and bugs were the reason I came to ABN in the first place and as soon as all that gets resolved, I’m not sure if this place will keep me entertained for much longer. That’s something we’ll find out eventually.

Having said that, I think a consolidated thread on statistics and chances would be a bit high maintenance with lots of number crunching and statistical analysis and consolidated results to keep up. All sort of stuff I get bored with. (I enjoy the excitement, panic, strong opinions and emotions about cheaters and exploits here a lot more to be honest)

I guess if someone feels the need to start a thread on it, it will come. It’s just not something I would be maintaining.
