@jorge-freeman-1 15 trials is hardly a significant sample size. The chance of getting a set item from the normal GPM during Rainbow Riot is only about 18%, based on my 106 rolls so far, and I’d guess the AGPM has the same odds. 18% of 15 is 2.7, which means on average you could expect 2 set items from 15 rolls. However, it also means that it’s not all that unlikely to get 0 set items out of 15 rolls, either – I once went 20 rolls on the GPM during Rainbow Riot without getting a set item.

I’ve done more spins than dr_ishmael during rainbow riot on the regular 3 LC golden pig machine and I’m only getting set items 10-11% of the time. Hopefully I’m just having bad luck during the riot because it seems like the chance to get a set item is closer to two times a normal spin than three times a normal spin for me.

@dr_ishmael Your data for the chances of getting set items on the rainbow riot of the ordinary GP is consistent with my experience. But, as you say, about the one from Arena you are only guessing…
On your math based on the 18% of chance assumption I’m even less convinced. To start 18% of 15 being 2.7 if you want to round this number you get 3, not 2 as you state. Then a chance of 18% to get means 82% to not get. So the chance of not getting any set item in 15 tries is 5% or 1/20. This is a lower enough probability to me to make it relevant. One thing is to have bad luck and not receiving any set item in a series of 20 tries between several other series. But to get such a bad luck to begin with makes me suspicious. I don’t trust the rainbow riot at the Arena’s golden pig anymore.
Besides this is just a case to add to several other evidence that the randomness of the results of the raffles at AB Epic sometimes doesn’t exist. But this is a bigger topic that doesn’t fit here.

maybe its not new info, but I just checked and none of the epic arena items gives their bonuses (except for the “set bonus”).
so no critical, not chain attack, no hp, etc from the head + flag..

is there anybody whom items work? the hp from the head doesnt work to anybody whom against I have played so far (no + hp at the beginning of the start for any player..

@druid – not sure I am understanding your question. Are you saying that you are not receiving the advertised benefit, or that you cannot see which benefit the banner items are supposed to be providing?

There are many items where the advertised benefit doesn’t work.

It seems like only the emblem works because my flag and top don’t appear to give bonuses except for the increased health for your flag. Some I can’t really tell because a 10% chance for 50% bonus damage doesn’t occur often enough for me to notice especially when I’m already using a set weapon that gives me at 45% chance.

I can confirm that set item Frozen Hide (Damage taken -20%) does not work, but can’t say for the others.

I checked many times during battles. The damage that my birds take is equal to the amount they would take without the damage reduction.

My vigor flags +10% health do not work, but my sweet flags +50 healing work and those are better in most situations where I use a healer.

@killerkea I haven’t been paying real close attention – I just use the top and flag that contribute the most health to the banner – but I have noticed the ones that give Chain Attack triggering when I have no Chain Attack weapons equipped.

I had 3 different epic heads: +20% health, +30%chain attack and +15% critical. None of these works. They clearly do not list the bonus when I tap the birds, and after playing them with items (weapon+offhand) that surely not give these kind of bonuses (like no chain attack from the weapons) I can say that the heads dont work at all. I’ve never seen chain attack trigger if I dont have a weapon, but only the head. And its 30%… Increased attack detto: no shown effect symbol, and my birds hit just for the same amount that they do without the +10% flag bonus.

But I have to say that all the non rare, non epic head/flag bonuses do work, so the problem is only with the set items…
Normal items gives their bonuses, and they show it too (‘vigor’ symbol for damage reduction, etc..) when I tap a bird for see the effects working on him.

I just got a yellow vigor flag (+10% health) and it works. I don’t understand why my green vigor flag didn’t work.

Having the same issue with the Sinister Set (which is the only set I have). There is absolutely no 10% increase in attack power. In fact I downgraded to a banner that offers 50% healing instead of using the set since it actually does something.

How did they launch this with so many huge bugs?

I noticed that I keep getting cloth, but none of the pole heads. Guess I’m just really unlucky.

my frustration brings me 180 degrees on the other side: Five different pole heads, but no cloth :D

I don’t think there is an easy way to tell which items will and won’t work. For example, I have a +10% health flag in the wood league that doesn’t work and I have a +10% health flag in the stone league that does work.

Just got two legendary banners in Silver league on my free rolls today. They are both 195HP higher than the legendary banner I rolled for when I was in Stone league. Might make it worth going up to Gold league with the cheaters if I can get stronger banner items when I am up there.

Just got the following emblem today, “mocking emblem”, support skill for the banner that provides a 100% chance that the banner taunts an enemy for 1 turn.

Anyone know what they mean by that, used it in a few battles but don’t see what it actually does.

@renitz I’ve battled people with that emblem many times and never seen it actually do anything. It sounds like it makes the bird that attacks it only be able to attack the banner for a turn but it never actually does.

@partshade One battle i saw a dispel symbol on enemy’s chuck, but don’t know if it was because of the emblem. And if it only does something only 1 turn per battle, save to asume it pretty useless, because it doesn’t say which turn, could be 1st, 2nd, 3rd or higher, most of my battles don’t last that long lol.

Yesterday twice had a enemy line with just one bird (knight level 1) and green banner with purifying emblem, one chili rage attack with bomb was al i needed, lmao. cracked me up!!!

@renitz When it triggers, it puts an effect on a random enemy bird that forces it to attack the banner. It seems like the 100% chance is a lie, though, it’s more like 10%.

That was my first emblem and I was never able to get it to work. At first I thought you might be able to activate it by tapping on your banner during your turn (that would be pretty sweet actually).

I’m not really fond of emblems that redirect damage though ( Magnetic Taunt Protection From Birds etc. ). So any emblems like that are pretty useless to me.

Yesterday, GP gave me an Apathy emblem (an enemy that attacks the banner cannot use fury for 2 turns) and it doesn’t work either. The opponent birds display the stop signal over their heads when they attack the banner but they use fury at will anyway.

@jorge-freeman-1 Apathy? I’ve seen that emblem and for me its called Rage Block.

@partshade ~ You are probably right. The language I play Rovio games with is Portuguese and I cannot (or don’t know how…) change that. I tried to find the right English name for that emblem but couldn’t find it anywhere. So I simply translated the Portuguese name (Apatia) to English (Apathy). Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the headsup (now I know it is Rage Block…).

@jorge-freeman-1 @partshade You are both right. It is called the Emblem of Apathy and below its name it says Rage Block. Most emblems have the same name and description below the name, but some don’t. Another example would be Spikey Spike which has the description of Thorns underneath it.

During my rainbow riot I got the watch a free video and free spin from Piggy McCool for my GAPM. The video for a free spin didn’t go away after doing the spin. If it did go away all I’d do to get it back was go back to the arena, use Piggy McCool’s free spin or pay 5 LC for a spin to make the free video reappear. I managed to watch 16 videos before time ran out. I accidentally exited the arena when the time was about to run out which stopped the free videos, but I got 4 set items out of the 18 spins I got during rainbow riot!

Too bad I’m never this lucky on the regular GPM. After using the silver set items I discovered they are all worthless except for the extra health your banner gets. Earlier people mentioned the Wood level blessed idol doesn’t work. The Silver Blessed Idol (20% increased health) doesn’t work either. I also got the Sinister Cloth (10% increased attack power) which doesn’t work. The last 2 set items I got were both Frosthearts (20% Dispel) which is a fairly worthless effect even if it does work.
