@pointless@smwforever45 I usually try to complete the No Rage first with weaker opponents, as it is a little annoying…kinda made for Venomous, however…
abcdefg
@abcdefgThe 30 extra stars are probably there because Rovio had planned for a later update to add new levels. I know that the caves come two-by-two but I think Rovio wants to stop at a round number of 20 caves. I am assuming that Rovio wants to keep the max levels/max things like this:
50 set items
Max level 50
Max mastery 15?20?
Max Caves 20
RedYoshi45
@smwforever45@pointless
What do you suggest? Do the no chili with Chuck and then two more separate battles without Chuck? Or McCool the enemies away until I get a good one?
RedYoshi45
@smwforever45@abcdefg
Holy moly, max mastery of 20 would be insane. I think some fellows would quit. 12 is alright for me but I have nothing against an increase to 15.Maybe 25 caves? Although 20 would make sense, I agree with you.
Also, if there’s more caves I believe there will be a max level increase too. Unless they want us to face Lv. 55 enemies with Lv. 50 birds. That’d get interesting.
EDIT: Even better, a final final boss for the Caves. Rovio made several references to other franchises (for example the Dark Knight reminds me of Darth Vader, and the Foreman’s cap could be a remainder of Super Mario) – how about some very final boss like the Dr. Wily or the Elite Four of Piggy Island? A last cave where you go through a huge lab or a barracks and then finally face the one who is responsible for the masses of pigs going after you, or the one who produces all the drones from the events and Cave 14? To show that, the cave effect could be two drones joining the battle every 3 rounds or something. One could also make it that the initial final battle (level 10 of the final cave) is against Lv. 50 enemies and all battles afterwards are Lv. 60 or something for everyone who has already got all their birds to max mastery…
Bubbley
@bubbley@smwforever45 Rovio removed the extra stars. Nobody obtained them.
Good luck with your objectives. I hate contradictory ones. I usually leave those that happen anyway such as: win with 3 stars, kill birds with rage, kill banner with rage and complete the others. I don’t know your set up but if you rely on chuck for rage try a bomb instead. They deal a good amount to all enemies including the banner. As for without using the chilli just go for the banner.
You could use a venamous team but I never have so I am not the best person to advise you on that score.
abcdefg
@abcdefgThe final boss for the final cave should be a boss with 100000HP and charge 2 turns deals 4000 dammage to all enimes. And then that cave effect should be summonning 2 pigs every 3 turns or mabye dealing 500 dammage to all birds. All the Level 50’s have no challenge in the caves because they all(almost all for some, or none very rarely) set items and all classes. Also mabye look at the new headgear thread. Will that headgear be helpful for the arena
Pointless
@pointless@smwforever45 the “win two without Chuck” should be the least of your worries, simply because it’s the lowest rewarding objective and because it’s fairly easy to complete. Obviously pick and choose your opponents carefully, but you’ll definitely need Rainbird to help with healing if you are attempting No Rage (as you don’t have Witch). The reason I suggest Venomous is that Rage really isn’t that important to that setup, as it relies almost exclusively on low initial damage and greater DoT effect. Certainly bail on the objective and give Matilda the Chili if a loss is imminent, but unless you have a dominant Power Team, I think this is the best approach to complete that objective.
RedYoshi45
@smwforever45@bubbley
Huh, wonder why they were in the game in the first place, then. Ah well.Yeah I do the same. Although a banner kill rarely happens when I rage so I have to adjust my strategy a bit. I mostly go with Chuck (Wizard), Bomb (Berserk or Capt’n) and the Blues (Spies) for the Arena unless the objectives tell me otherwise.
@abcdefg
The combination of high HP and high damage would be quite extreme. No brute does that much damage and they charge for 3 turns.I’ve seen your post, those classes seem a bit overpowered in terms of damage output (100% bonus damage for chain attacks is quite a lot) but they’re generally good.
@pointless
That’s true.
Rainbird, Druid and Rogues are an 8-8-8 team while my Power team is 9-8-9. Nothing really dominant.
RedYoshi45
@smwforever45I got super lucky with the coin tosses and didn’t lose a single one, surprisingly.
I just finished the remaining objectives. The three No Chili wins all with Rainbird/Druid/Rogues, for the two No Chuck wins I replaced Rainbird with Samurai to protect my birds and dish out some nice Rage damage. Great strategies as always, thanks guys!
I hope the others on my board don’t wait for the double arena points, and I hope the double arena points won’t apply to the objectives. That’d throw me out of the Top 3 for sure. So far I still have a very slim chance to advance.

abcdefg
@abcdefgOkay it will be extreme, but it should be an extreme type boss if it is going to be the final “final” cave. For those of you who have lots of MEFD won’t you like to use them for a hard boss battle. It would be dissapointing to go in to the final “final” battle and then fight an easy or medium type boss to end the levels of the game. Mabye charge 3 turns instead of 2 and do 2000 dammage to all instead of 3000 to all.
RedYoshi45
@smwforever45@abcdefg
That’s obvious but it shouldn’t be cheatingly difficult either.
Also, 3000 damage every 3 turns is ok to me. Either that or 1500 damage every 2 turns. Or even better, make the damage increase with the rage chili.Also stupid question but what’s MEFD?
Pointless
@pointless@bubbley I will report some data regarding Time Jump now I have a good sample, and it’s eerily consistent. I have tracked both my results and those of the opponent:
Out of 1,006 actions, I got 103 procs (as close to 10% as you could ask for)
Opponent 128 and 13, once again almost bang on (way smaller sample size, obviously).
Of interest are the extremes (but expected):
On one end, I’m seeing 15-20 actions without a proc, resulting in longer battles and worse results.
Other side is 4 procs out of 6 and a dominating victory (less turns and more damage).Am I still completely sold on Chrono Crest? No more or less than before, as I don’t really see a better option for myself…and those 4 out of 6 battles are so much fun :)
abcdefg
@abcdefgAnd also the MEFD is Mighty Eagle Favorite Dish. It KO’s all the pigs in the current wave and costs 45 LC’s for 3 or 30 LC’s for a single. It is very helpful for 1 wave boss battles. And 3000 damage should not be very much because you can use Samurai to half the damage(or -40% on other birds). At your level, 1500 damage all should not be much especially charge 3 turns. 1500 dammage would kill all my birds except Chuck and Bomb. My Red has 1940 HP and my Bomb has I think 1850HP
RedYoshi45
@smwforever45@abcdefg
Considering I cannot take three birds with me into the Caves – and I always use Wizard and Spies for normal battles, and never used Samurai for boss battles – 3000 damage is quite a lot for me. Bomb and Red can survive it, but Mathilda, Chuck and the Blues can’t without protection.Ah yeah, Mighty Eagle. Don’t worry, I know that. I only wondered about the abbreviation :P
abcdefg
@abcdefgI Know that Wizard/Spies are good classes, but boss battles are one pig only so bring more single target damage. Spies only does 85% damage to the target(main), so don’t use it in one pig battles. I usally use Palladin(healing), Bard(dammage), and Pigina(very high HP). For the boss of Cave 5 I used Samarai to half the dammage because it was a Pyropig that did damage to all enimes
RedYoshi45
@smwforever45Some boss battles include more enemies. I know Cave 14 had a lot of drones because that orange drone kept sending in more of them until it was destroyed. Plus some cave bosses have these annoying ghost helpers, and Cave 7 or 8 kept sending out more pigs into battle.
It really is dependent on the current boss which team’s the best. Hence why I opened the topic a while ago – if there was the one winning strategy for all levels ABN wouldn’t be as big.
For example, Paladin-Bard-Pigiana wouldn’t work at all in Cave 4 because the cave boss can steal healing.
RedYoshi45
@smwforever45Me and two others are having a run on ranks 2 and 3 of the leaderboard. I just did my share again.

datguygamer
@datguygamerI know Cave 14 had a lot of drones because that orange drone kept sending in more of them until it was destroyed
Drones? Since when does Epic have drones?
RedYoshi45
@smwforever45@datguygamer
I don’t know. But you can’t deny their existence either…

I only just now took this screenshot in the boss level of Cave 14.
There has been an event with drones before (see also here) and the self-destructing Doom Drones always used to get me.
Also, they appear in the current event sometimes, and as I said, in Cave 14.
datguygamer
@datguygamer@smwforever45 Okay.
RedYoshi45
@smwforever45HECK YEAH. My fighting has been rewarded. I’m moving on to Silver! I didn’t expect that when I started this week. :D

Pointless
@pointless@smwforever45 nicely done, congratulations! And still saving those LCs for more useful purchases, I assume?
RedYoshi45
@smwforever45@pointless
Thank you! Yeah, didn’t spend a single one yet! Currently at 41 LC’s on stock, and about 9.2k snouts.
GrauGeist
@graugeist2nd place with 55k put me back in Diamond, 2 weeks later than desired.
Ugh. Board is competitive.
Bubbley
@bubbley@pointless apologies for the tardy reply. I don’t have as much data so I will keep collecting until I have 1006. I just want to check that I am counting in the same way as you. I count every attack as 1. So Chucks rage is 1. Also each jump is one so if say Red gets a jump I count it as 2 because he can attack twice.
I have to say my data looks very much as advertised. I am using Retaliate at the moment but I might reconsider TJ. I really hate it when an opponent gets 7 jumps in one battle. I haven’t lost though so I am pleased with Retaliate.
Thanks for your help.
