About the Angry Birds 2 Arena

A hacker named tipsy just moved onto my Arena group, into the top spot of course. Level 35 all 16s and all pirate hats. Can we just hope he goes somewhere else? Grrrrr. How do they just appear?

If you find out how they do it I would love to know. It happens to me too. I tried to get Rovio to help but by the time they answer it’s to late. So I get some long winded explanation on how it happens. They never make a lick of sense just talking in circles. May be they think I will get dizzy and forget the question!?

@jacque-stokes that person isn’t hacker. She/he could have stars level 35 and birds’ level 16 if she/he used game bug we discussed here many times.

Regarding the KPC, I don’t think that is right. Once you begin a 10 minute timer starts, during that time you can abandon and restart as many times as you like, but if you abandon and the 10 mins is up you’re done for the day. But once you’re in you can take as long as you like to complete it.

May be not a hacker but a cheater all the same. You can call it using a bug…but I call it cheating.

Went to bed last night at #2 with a lead of about 200 stars and woke up this morning at #9. Seriously, was pushed out of 2nd place now by about a 1000 star lead.

This is why this game is no fun anymore.

You’re right. KPC isn’t fair at all. It’s not only the time limit, but also the boss room design. I couldn’t get passed yesterday’s and today’s challenges because the bosses were so far out of reach I couldn’t hit him.

I can vouch for that. It is annoying and frustrating to play with these 24h permanent players. I’m in 2nd place now, with the first guy in the lead with 1860 stars. I’ve got nearly 1400 so far!!! In all these months of playing, I’ve never racked up this high star count. You want to know what else hurts?

On 2 occasions the day before (one being just needed one measly hit on King pig on his darn challenge to claim the lackluster 50 pearls and the other being streak 6 with 500 red feathers, which I need to claim so I can get promote to level 17)…the FREAKING game decides to freeze the pause menu while I’m playing the game. Guess what… couldn’t see anything so I had to forfeit the streak, and ALL that hard work to get past 5 levels of KP. Lost 500 feathers, the streak and 300 gems wasted to get to KP.

@jon3800 @penz @angryplayer You have to spend money 99% of the time to win the KPC. I was wrong on a few technicalities about the timer but it’s money driven with the black pearls being the prize. It’s like the carnival game that you spend $100.00usd to get the $10.00usd prize for your date. It’s an attempt to make their game the most valuable in the market. Im watching to see how well it works.

I’ve already told you all that all you have to do is demolish your opponents one week in a highly competitive tournament and you’ll never have to compete again. #2 in my league has 27 stars and I’m in the Diamond League. I imagine they just threw me in some special league of non-competitive people so the competitive people don’t complain about “cheaters.”

I am not sure that is entirely correct @deaftalk ….I usually destroy my league by around 1000 stars every week (totals between 2500-3500) and I am yet to be put in an easy league, as the runner ups are usually around the 1500 star mark.

I might’ve gotten lucky that week where there was a glitch. It was a few months ago and it kept switching me from league to league after I wound up in the most competitive league I had ever been in. I had just moved to a small town for a new job and I didn’t know anyone so I played the arena a lot in my free time. After that I have had nothing, but easy competition. 2nd place hasn’t even reached 100 stars ever since then.

Oh, and I think I scored over 4k that week, so maybe that was a trigger…

I don’t think I have ever had a 4k week, so that certainly may be a possibility. Might try for a 4k week in the coming weeks and see how that plays out.

Just out of curiosity I stayed in the Arena at the end of the tournament, and first time in 2 months was able to get award and start playing new tournament immediately. Does this trick work or Rovio just fixed server connection after last fiasco?

I just installed OS10 on my iPad and my birds have turned into wimps. I can’t blow up a whole structure and my big bird can barely knock through a wooden block. They also fly a shorter distance than they used to. I used to average 3 million points in the arena and now I can barely break 1 million and lose every round. Is this me, or Apple or Rovio? Any words of wisdom?

I am running iOS 10 on my iPad and haven’t noticed this problem.

It’s Rovio. Nothing wrong with you iPad or iOS. I even have had Terence fail after hitting the first wall.

No words of wisdom just have your next bird ready to go thru what’s left standing. Good luck.

If your birds can’t reach the KP there is usually a headwind, trampoline, or shortcut that will get you there. There was one were the only way was with Woody but that is not the norm. And yes it is designed to get us to spend gems! Grrrrr

As said above, the KPC is extremely difficult and a real gem eater. An expensive lesson for me today since I am not a flinger with the wherewithal to procure unlimited gems. I hope I have learned a valuable lesson, but “Just when I thought I was out … They pull me back in.”

I know how you feel. I am about to pull the plug. It is a waste of my hard earned money but I admit I’m addicted. I keep on giving them gems just to buy stupid hats that I have not noticed increasing my birds power.

Hats do not increase your birds strength/power, they simply add a score multiplier to increase your overall score.

What is up with arena opponents lately? My birds are all 9’s and 10’s (Elder bronze and silver). I just got matched up against an opponent which was 13’s through 15’s. They just scored over 13 millions points. I’ve never gotten over 10, and that’s with using all my spells. Then the next battle, I was up against 6’s and 7’s.

Out used to be you would be matched up against opponents or nearly equal strength. It seems all out of whack all of a sudden.

Wow, looks like every single person in my league this week either saved up a ton of tickets from previous weeks, or else is using some sort of a hack. I’m playing at my normal rate and struggling to stay above the bottom three, despite that fact that I’ve earned 9-10 stars for pretty much every single match I’ve played. If playing once every 3 hours during normal waking hours of the day isn’t enough to be competitive, then shoot, just demote me already and maybe I’ll have some less obsessive people to compete with.

1st place in my group already has 600 points, David. I am 12th with 75 points. I am hoping that if a play very little this week I might end up in a better group, lower scoring. All I am going to do for this week is stay out of the bottom three so I stay in the Diamond League.

If you perform in the lower ranks but don’t get demoted – say you finish somewhere around #10-12 – do we have any verifiable evidence that this affects the group of competitors you end up in the following week?

I was a bit late to get started on this week’s Arena – I was actually out having a social life on Saturday night and Sunday morning, so I can understand being roughly 70-100 stars behind my usual, but usually the bottom three to five in any group I’ve been part of aren’t that competitive. I typically finish somewhere around #7 or #8, so I could understand being with a tougher group if I was earning medals every week, but all things considered, my performance has been rather middling by Diamond League standards.
