Angry Birds Surf and Turf Level 43 Walkthrough

One strategy for Angry Birds Surf and Turf level 43 is to lob the Blue birds into the middle of the level, popping the three pigs there. Loft the Yellow bird high and speed it through the two pigs in the top-right. Finish by popping the pig in the bottom-left with a Blue bird. The score in the video below is 51,270.

Very strange level… tedious and frustrating, too. The video method seems like the easiest so far. I’ve made a couple of shots that would seem to suggest alternatives – knocking the entire upper left pulley contraption off the edge, or going through the wood of the upper right contraption to take out both pigs there – but I haven’t been able to repeat them. Hopefully someone else can provide some insight.

@austinrhl I couldn’t agree with you more!! I was sad to see we were all pretty much stuck with the same shots just wee variations of aiming points. The last three levels reminded me more of ABO bad piggies than it did S&T, I can only hope the next few are less so!! Onward I go to find out (fingers crossed they aren’t!)

There is a two-bird strategy which is a bit frustrating. Shoot the first bird low to take out all of the birds on the lower levels. This is a one in 30 or so shot. The problem is that now you have the pressure on not to miss that second shot, which is not entirely trivial.

This strat might yeild 60 K if all stars align. Getting the bounces from the first bird is difficult and as @f91jsw mentioned the second shot isn’t a gimme.

I have the second shot down, just have to get all of the lowe pigs with that first shot. (I usually leave one of them, just a different one each time)

For the upper shot – aim to just hit the glass on the top of the upper right structure, with yellow going on past the structure. He will land on the slope and roll back, cutting the rope that supports the structure which then falls on the little pig, the bigger one generally will not survive this fall either.

@f91jsw, I had also been trying that strategy, and today was the payoff, (I did that shot with the Blue Bird about eighty times before finally getting all four pigs) and as far as the second shot was concerned, I just ignored the glass roof and concentrated on getting the Yellow Bird to hit the cliff face and roll down to sever the rope. It worked.

It didn’t take too long before I was able to get @f91jsw‘s first shot. Like @werewolf69, I found that breaking the glass just added a degree of difficulty to the shot that didn’t have a payback. Breaking the glass was only worth about 1,000 points and the chance of messing up the shot was very high. I fired the yellow bird high and accelerated, landing it high on the slope. The higher it is, the faster it will be going when it rolls down and can hit the rope high, getting a higher point count.

I guess I got lucky. Got the first shot in about 5 tries. It took me 2 more birds to get the two pigs on the right but it still gave me 50k + 3 stars

Thanks @f91jsw for the post on the alternate strategy. This level was a challenge getting the lower left and right birds.
Found that if Blue Bird is activated early usually one goes above/right-at the two glass posts and makes it far right to get that pig. The middle two birds seem to fall on their own more times than the left bird. The second shot with the Yellow Bird produces more points if the glass horizontal plank is hit first then YB rolls to the right and cuts the rope.

Those drawbridges make the lower strategy difficult.

54320 using:
!) Blue bird to knock out the left pig ang the ice blocks.
2) Yellow bird to drop the first drawbridge and take out the remaining lower pigs.
3) Blue bird on high arc split at just the right time so one cuts the cord to drop the last two pigs top right.

@brave1966 – Any suggestions on how to get the blues to go that far? All I can do is get the one blue to fall softly between the two piggies.

@78RPM:

I assume you’re talking about shot 3? The two keys to that shot are getting the arc right and timing the split just right so the top most of the split birds cuts the cord holding that structure so it falls over and kills the remaining pigs. It may take a few tries to get it right.

A fairly repeatable strategy for scores in the mid to high 50’s:

Blue bird just above level, splitting so that the bottom bird takes out the left pig, and the top bird flies just under the ledge and takes out the other 3 pigs along the bottom.

Then fire the yellow bird over the top of the entire structure, into the cliff face on the upper right. He then rolls back down, breaks the rope so the top right building topples and the 2 upper right pigs are killed.

@pellystar – thank you for your strategy, it works great. The first shot is hard, but works from time to time. Before, after successful shots with the blue bird, I failed with the yellow bird. But after reading your suggestion to send it to the cliff, it worked right away! This is a great idea and makes it much easier to get a 2-birder.

Flung the first bird towards the bottom taking out all of those pigs (but the big one in the middle, go figure, just teetered for a while until it fell over). Threw the yellow bird up to the right and, eventually all of the pigs popped. Bonus with birds 3 & 4.

60 340, 1st flat split halfway and top blue bounce on the top of 2nd vertical wood and takes out big pig and the lowest pig to the right. Quite often pig with stone will roll over the edge. This shot you can be consistent on (1 out of 10) with some practice. (24K-26K). 2nd is very hard if you go for higher scores and you need to be patient and probably do a lot of repetitions. Aim about 45 degree angle and accelerate bird just below the small vertical stone and take out the tree long woods. On rear occasions the ice vertical will reach the last pig. The easy 2nd is just to lob over everything and let the bird cut the rope. That will give you 57K at least

I have used a 2 bird strategy for this level.

The first one is flat and split as many have said.
Here is the trajectory and result: http://angrybir.de/1c9ddL3

Once in a while the top bird will go to kill the pig on the bottom right.
Here is a trajectory showing it: http://angrybir.de/1c9dD40
(the top blue bird is flying just above the big pig on this screenshot)

For the second bird, I am aiming at the top of the rightmost structure, just below the small vertical stone.
I am not trying to cut the rope by rolling down the slope (not enough damage), but instead I tried to break into the structure. With luck some of the structure is falling to the left to kill the remaining pig.

Here is the trajectory and the result: http://angrybir.de/1cKFhtk

Done correctly it consistently lead to scores higher than 60k.

And here is the highscore screenshot: http://angrybir.de/1c9eJgm

Hope it helps.

Pretty mad! Just casually tossed a couple of birds and got a trophy score on first attempt. No idea it was that good until I came to enter it. Has this level got easier? I’m using version 6.0.6. First bird low split late. Second over top to clip crane, take out bird on floor and roll on to topple final tower. Trying same again I beat the previous top score several times. Screen shot to follow.

Up to 64060/2 for improved high score. Realised that the second shot has to thread through the middle of the crane, just skimming the first pulley. Broke the high score at will, maybe 50-60 times. Example screen shot attached. Don’t think anyone else has mentioned this approach.

63780/2. New strat. First bird like other strats, split such that the lower bird takes out the leftmost pig, and the top goes through the glass and takes out the remaining three lower level pigs. Doesn’t happen very often, but not rare either. The second shot is the tricky one. Launch with Chuck at the 8 o’clock position, and accelerate early. Chuck goes through the left boom AND the right boom, then rolls to the rightmost structure, causing that piggie to roll off. Only got this shot to work once, but it paid off!
