Angry Birds Star Wars Hoth Level 3-29 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Hoth level 3-29 is to loft the Blue Rebel Pilots into the icy base of the tallest tower, showing the TNT below with debris. Loft Han a bit steeper, blasting the remaining TNT and perched mynock with his laser. The score in the video below is 58,800.

62,970 First bird just barely over vertical block of ice. Splitting just before it crosses over that block to take out the support ice block to the right, the flapping bat, the bridge area and everything except the far right bat. Second shot easy arc to shoot last pig and its support.

You don’t have to blast the last pig, it’s better to direct the laser somewhere else to increase the destruction. For example at the first three square blocks.

Agreed – Han’s momentum should clear the last bat, shooting at remaining debris to get over the 60000 mark

One bird strategy and good amount of luck gave me temporary top score. As for strategy – same as Alex described.

Same here, was shooting to break the average an one time out of hundreds that long gray block supported by the ice blocks didn’t break that little round wooden block near the TNT on the left and presto, one birder, almost total destruction.

Thanks, don’t know how long I’ll keep it, there was still a few points to be made there for anyone with patience to wait for the proper sequence of events to take place. I think 71k is a possibility in there.

1-bird:

Aim just over the top of the vertical ice beam (much lower than the video). Split just before reaching the vertical ice beam so that the top split-bb breaks the ice support under the top tower, and the bottom split-bb breaks the vertical ice beam. With a lot of luck–did I say a LOT of luck?–all bat-pigs and most everything else will be toast.

A 1-bird score of 74k seems possible. On one attempt, I had a running score of 49k+ with two birds left in the quiver, all debris gone except two remaining cement pieces from the top tower, and the stubborn bat-pig hanging in the middle. Got him with a second bird for a 2-bird score of 64k+.

While a 1-bird is possible, it is NOT very repeatable! In two days of playing this level (maybe 2000 times), I got a 1-bird four times. A 2-bird score of 64k+ is much more repeatable, but even that is rare.

TIP: If you’re lucky enough to get the top split-bb to break the ice support of the top tower AND it remains there, it will act like a fulcrum, a pivot point from which the tower will “roll” to the left before toppling into the three blocks and knocking them off their perch, which is worth an extra 3-4k, or so.

A fun level! But very frustrating, demanding lots of patient persistence, to get the high-scoring 1-bird. Except for the skill in aiming and splitting the bb, it is purely the “L factor” (luck) on this level.

muK :)

I had a similar experience as Muk (@dseufert). Kept trying this strat all day, occasionally getting a 2-birder, with a few near-misses at a 1-bird score. Got 64k a couple of times before the 1-bird Force was with me. I didn’t do anything different, things just bounced and exploded the right way. The only tip I can offer is to aim really close to the vertical ice plank so the top BB will carry over to break the ice at the base of the tall tower.

Two Is Good (I gave up on the 1-birder… for now)

Aim the first bird at the lower left hanging ball. The bird’s path tracer should be just below the eye of the hanging ball. Explode the bird an instant before impact. Expect the ball on the lower TNT to hit the hanging bird and ricochet into the TNT on the right.

Shoot Hans at the upper left side of the block with the blue beam on it (closer to the corner is better but exact location is not required). The intention is to collide Hans into the block which causes all three blocks to fall to the left. Shortly after launch fire Hans’ laser at the short blue block supporting the top right tower. Often Hans or blocks will fall onto the lower left wood colored blocks. Strategy is very repeatable.

Tip: Destroying the long beam supporting the top left tower of blocks sometimes prevents the tower from falling.

One last thing, total destruction is possible, difficult but possible using this strategy. Twice I had two pieces of severely damaged debris remaining.

Great alternate strat @odie, & definately very repeatable. On the 2nd shot I tried to aim the target for Han’s blaster shots as low as possible on the glass block supporting the top right tower, so as not to damage the horizontal beam above it; like you said if it’s damaged the tower tends not to fall. Tricky to do though. Thank you :)

Some crazy 2B with nice cordage over top vertical glass wall 3 blocks under it fallen to the left. So only R side was to clear and I went it under first rock at this situation. Inspiration of first part: Muk Hummel, score 64.470 (from 60K).

Now and again cudos to @odie – first fully well done pass (not partially or 3B) and 68.950 / 2B happened. More interesting. Sometimes less is more. After this I set some 67 with less visual damage then later with “more clearing” but near 65K.

PS. I must be more Hoth ;P, so I on the way to improve here and there. At Hoth I was over # 215 a total – hudge reserve to fill (now # 46).

Yeah!!! I got the one birdie with the same method as others ;-) I had been sending the first bird lower then the video shows all along but hadn’t manage a one birdie. I got some pretty decent two birdie scores…but then I came here and tried @odie‘s method which worked even better for higher two birdie scores, 66680 was my highest…I read the comments that the original way I was doing can get a one birdie so I tried some more and the “L” factor kicked in! I was surprised to see the one birdie did as much damage as it did…when it works, it works!!! Not the highest score obviously but a good one birdie none the less ;-) Thanks Nesters for posting your outcomes!

One-birder as described by @dseufert: just above vertical ice beam, splitting a birdlets width before passing. Small wooden disc went through second/top hanging pig to TNT, debris dropped on first hanging pig etc. Of course, as Makin Bakin lots of luck required!
