Utopia level 4-9 is a bit challenging. One strategy is to fire the Lazer bird into the bushes (and hidden wooden beam) of the northwest structure. The entire thing should drift off the west side and crumble. Now the hard part. Aim the Ice bird around “ten o’clock”; i.e., pull back almost directly along the length of the slingshot. The Ice bird should loop just past that northwest overhang and penetrate the main structure. If you detonate the TNT, the top-right pig should go sledding down the hill, hit the TNT, do a wicked flip, and pop. This is one of the coolest designed pig-pops that I’ve ever seen! Weeee!

Take out the little tiny wooden prop & grass to the left of the lone structure and the whole thing will slide right off the edge. Then shoot the ice bird backward with an arch landing it right at the left most pig & tip of stone structure. Either ice it perfectly with for a 2 birder or use the BB to blast through the ice to the TNT.
That’s the same as the text…
Thanks slim. That strat works well. I just got this for Android today so I have some catching up to do.
I’ve done the same thing without arching the icebird so much. I direct shot into the body of the structure can sometimes penetrate to the TNT and wipe the building out.
Send also the ice bird directly to the pig next to the stair. Made the TNT explode and clear the level. Get 119040 with two birds
This was the only one I needed help with (I haven’t tried 10 yet?)…Thanks @amslimfordy. I used your stategy and it worked perfectly. Thanks a bunch…Great Wicked Flip…I love these new levels ;-)
Thanks slim 120280. Was struggling with the 3 * here.
Thanks @amslimfordy for this easy to follow strategy. Love the kernel explosions in the episode!
@kartflyer It should be noted, that this is actually my strategy. Hey, I have to take when I can get’m. Right @amslimfordy?
Yessir. This and 4-10.
Well now that just sounded way too serious. :) My reply was meant more as a joke.
OK, ty BL, a great strategy, all humor aside. :-) Loved this level, finally one based on marksmanship not luck.
@birdleader Haha, you should note that in the textual walkthrough ;) thanks for the strategy!
Hee hee @amslimfordy @birdleader the credit at the end of the video goes to @fujitoast ! No matter teamwork is the key and is a great strat no matter who came up with it lol..sorry I had to laugh;)
Love the pig flip! First time he bumped into his buddy and they both skied down the slope and jumped off the end to the central cookie!
Indeed that was cool… He went back got his friend and they both skied down the slope together!
Twice the pig has skied down the slope, flipped up, landed on his ski and skied down again to knock off more snow!
This varies somewhat each time. Sometimes he does a flip, sometimes he doesn’t. Once I had him go all the way down, fly back up and do a flip, then ski back down taking out some snow and then falling to the lower planet before popping! Tough little pig!
I got 119,570 after about 20 tries without the walkthrough. Am pretty proud of it but it’s not enough for my needs haha. I will come back on this one eventually.
Well 4-8 was my favorite level until I tried this! I love the skiing pigs!
I know! This is the first time a moment in AB game play has actually made me laugh in a long time. I love the little things like this.
score 116,780
Thanks Bird Leader. I liked the sliding lookout tower and the skiing pigs. But my most favourite thing of all is the popping pop corn. I am continually hungry playing Utopia , I love pop corn, I can even smell the pop corn. It just looks so real! Fun levels for sure!
@ Bird Leader. @slim thanks for the strtat that got
me 123,670. What did the high score turn out to be? Lots of fun anyway,
@just-joan Thank you for the comment about the popcorn. I usually play AB with the sound off because I have very bad tinnitus and all the little sounds go crazy in my head. I turned it back on after lead your comment. I will have to play a few more of these with the sound on so I can hear the popcorn!
@birdleader thanks to you and @amslimfordy for the strat. I sure had fun!
I am like you I don`t like the sound on. But that was the exception it was so real. LOL 8)
Me too @birdleader ! I also like it when instead of flipping or pancaking on it’s head, the skiing piggy pops a wheelie and slides down the slope like Evel Kinevel.
Shoot the Lazer Bird to the first structure as in the video, so it collapses away. Then shoot the ice bird to the “staircase” (wooden plank with little wooden planks) so it breaks it and goes through the next wood also. Should explode everything.
116270. Thanks guys!
Anyone have between 115,000 and 115,990?
@amslimfordy Got 115k, already reported in the forum :)
115k is 2 stars, 116k is 3
Thanks Kart!
High score of 118900 after walkthrough
Exactly like the video … got 120,170 — THANK YOU!
this level is super easy. i guess i got very lucky and got it on my 1st try. thanks amslimfordy!
love the pig flip! got 122,060 with this method! thanks!
How are 128k scores possible? I’ve beaten the level completely with only 2 blocks and a snow cloud left for my 123k score. Can anyone share any helpful strategies?
@fillmore1234, I followed the walkthrough for my 126k score, after many 122-123k scores. The only tip I can offer is that with the 2nd shot, the bird lands along the higher slanted “ladder”. I found that the lower down on this ladder the bird hit, the higher my score was. Don’t know if this helps, I think there’s some luck with the impact points on this one.
I huess 128k could be possible, though I had about 2 blocks left.
@neuljoeun, can you share your strategy?
It sounds as if everyone has left only a few blocks behind (I know I did) and we see a variation of score, so there must be something to the idea of the points created when pieces grind together/break each other.
@karen68 I don’t think that @neuljoeun has ever commented on any of the challenges when asked even though he/she has been at or near the top every day. go figure.
First, my English is not so good. My utopia level 4-9 strategy is the same as angrybirdsnest….I think I was lucky. I don’t know the game play video capture and screenshot.
@neuljoeun I wondered if that might be the case. what is your native language? Francais?
i’m korean. chech my score picture in my album

@neuljoeun, thanks for sharing.
@neuljoeun I was hoping it was french as I can read and write that but I don’t know korean.
I appologise sincerely if you rthought I was questioning your score, I was not. I was making the observation that you have been topping the challenge lists with great scores but we/I had never seen you speak about it. I would be giddy to tell everyone how I did it because it can be so hard.
Exactly the same as the video ty @amslimfordy
Well, this WAS my favorite level. Can’t figure out how I got an above-average score, and am not betting that it will still be above average at the end of the day. Anyone with a higher score care to share any tips?
@playdbird — How much of an arc did you use for 2nd shot? So far I’ve been shooting as flat as possible, and haven’t gotten TNT to detonate yet.
@mvnla2 – I had to replay this since it’s been months since I got my score.
Ultimately, it may be more efficient to try the high arc to get to the TNT, but for the “flatter” shot I’ve come in just a hair above the corner of the permanent ice structure.
Ice bird will go through the pig (if he’s there) and it has to penetrate the wooden staircase and the other wooden pieces behind that.
It is very repeatable, but ultimately I think it’s the same if you go in flat or arcing, meaning the TNT has to go and then it’s up to luck as to how much destruction you’ll get.
@mvnla2, the only difference in a higher score I noted was the placement of the 2nd shot – see my comment above. I tried to explode the TNT with the flatter shot but had no success, so I went with the walkthrough.
Have faith, I think you’ll stay above average on this one :)
@filmore I believe the difference is getting the tiny little blocks of wood to break totally AND the banging around of debris. It seems that the MORE you freeze the less ancillary banging around points help.
@mvnla2 I can’t speak to everyone else’s stherat but for the icebird, you will notice that it has two feathers for a tail. I use that and the slingshot as a guide. If you name the feathers top and bottom or when drawn down parallel to the sling left and right, the bottom/right feather when inline with the sling will send IB just above the rightmost pig and toward the junction of the upper staircase wooden plank behind it. IF you aim with the feathers on either side of the sling i.e. the middle position, the IB will hit right at the spot where that pig sits a if youbove the lolipop or hopefully where it WAS. Lastly, if you put the top/left feather in liine with the sling it will send the IB below where that pig was and down to the lolipop.
For me, I have been oh so close to 130k several times but the dang level ends before the debris finishes breaking. The best results have been about 40k with the first shot and the pig above the lolipop gone. It really does seem that freezing more does not help but I’m still trying to improve. I have a bit of OCD when it comes to birds so I will let you know if I can figure out a consistent strat.
sorry meant to put the numbers @fillmore1234
oh and I ashould clarify the line up spot is with the left edge of the sling not the middle of the sling. sorry bout that.
I was just going over some levels I liked and came to this one. I shot the first bird up over just short of the flag and reversed it to hit in the same place on that upper ridge just the right side. I seemed to have gotten more points on that first bird then followed with the blue bird the usual way and got the current top score. Photo is in my album.

Revisiting this level for the daily challenge, I noticed that the first shot gives you more points when some debris of the left structure fall on the right (most often, it is one vertical stone block, but there can be more). I was not able to make an efficient second shot with this configuration, therefore, I cannot say whether it is the path toward a 130k/underdog score, but I think it is worth exploring.
@sglouk that´s right, any stones fall to the right structure and many woods are broken.
zoom, there is a bright point on the left vertical stone, this is the target, see the picture https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/comex666/album/picture/10708/
the second bird high arc, search a point, over the pig and bird break the woods like picture,
activate, when is over the TNT.
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/comex666/album/picture/10709/
same shouts and every one other points, with luck

same here after years.
first non-activate
second through the ears from the pig, self, activate.

Seems I was thinking the opposite of @sglouk :) For me, everything that fell into the pit usually survived. So, my strategy was to avoid that. Now my lonely puppies finally have a playmate. I think I’ll call him Astro. :)
Shot 1: Fire Chuck horizontal, relative to the sling. Don’t redirect. Just clear the slide-stopping foliage. The pink + in my screenshot shows the impact spot. The wood ladder always falls right, and sometimes the triangular block, so ignore them. Try to prevent any other debris from falling rightward, though.
Shot 2: Using your favorite star, aim Ice Bird so he smacks the leftmost pig in his right eye (or left eye from your perspective). Let Icey self-freeze. This shot has two outcomes:
Darn!: Icey slides partway across the stone plank. His freeze won’t detonate the TNT from here, so reset.
Yay!: Icey slides across the entire plank and bumps the tiny wood square. His freeze detonates the TNT. Now, watch the little piggies hold their X-Games, and hope for a slow-crumble collapse that clears the pit. They’re infrequent, but not rare.
This plank-slide freezes more debris, however any wood in the pit from shot #1 is unlikely to be destroyed by all that ice. Near-total destruction is great, but not needed for high scores. Crumble factor is where the points are hiding. Not counting popcorn, my 130k left 4-5 pieces of debris, while my 128k’s had 2-3.
Screenshot with handy overlays for both shots.

Congratulations @Kelani on some might fine flinging and another new puppy ~ and Astro is a most appropriate name !!!
Your detailed tips and observations are always helpful and very much appreciated ~ Thank You! This is a level where I find the shots can be “processed” as rapidly as possible by flinging the second shot right after the first leaves the sling and before its results are posted. If something goes wrong with the first shot or it appears that the pit won’t be thoroughly cleared there’s no need to wait to reset for the next shot. If there isn’t at least +115K on the scoreboard when the last piggy is starting his ski run there’s no use hanging around…..
Thanks @uncle-b Those huge strategies always seem to help everyone but me, so it’s nice to benefit for once :) I think what you said about the rapid-fire approach is a great idea, and kudos for thinking to try it. IMO, that is the best score boosting/time saving technique that nobody thinks to try., even me!
Another tip I forgot to add: After looking closely at shot #2, I don’t think tiny aiming variations affect whether Icey does the partial or full-plank slide. I’ve gotten similar successes and failures hitting that piggie from his ears to his chinny chin chin. So, I guess it all depends on when the game thinks you deserve a break. :)
Still plenty of time left, so I send you and the other guys & girls luck++. After this one’s over, Astro and me will be in the dog park with a bucket of milk bones and tennis balls. Hope to see y’all there!
I started this Challenge with my Android phone’s 127010 in 23rd place & after switching to iPad, after a few hours on & off I couldn’t get past 122k while slipping out of the Top 50 to 51st. I rarely get videos to load with my slow internet & misread the ABN text about where & how the aim the oh-so-important 2nd shot, I definitely wasn’t aiming to maximize the damage needed for bettering my score.
TY very much @kelani for your pic showing trajectory & Congrats on your new puppy. After a few flings I was up to 124k then 126k. Perhaps two dozen flings later it all came together for 129480.
1st shot trajectory probably much like kelani’s. I aim to the left corner of the ice below vegetation & direct just before it hits, sometimes the right most stone will also fall to the right on top of the ladder destroying it; most of the time this doesn’t happen, but occasionally the ladder disintegrates on its own. For this score I had a 43190 but the leftmost piggie to which kelani is referring had been destroyed as was the ladder that had fallen into the middle all while also damaging the ladder in the middle above & to the left of the lollipop. My best score this way had been 43830.
2nd shot like shown in kelani’s pic “detonated” on its own & because the ladders were damaged or destroyed, I had pretty massive damage.
A few flings later it looked like I was going to score even higher, but it was the same exact score : -(
@justpast40 sounds like you almost had it. Twice! I Glad the pic was able to help a little. hate those identical scores. They can mess with a guy’s sanity :) Luck+ for the last 8 minutes!
Nice score @Kelani! I just ran across your strategy 10 minutes before the time ran out for the daily, so I quickly loaded Space, expecting some new miracle….and darned if those weren’t the same two shots I was already using….lol. But kudos for you new Dog!
@waimea well, thank you. Glad to know I was doing it right for once :)
Mwwwaahhhh !! @kelani ((((hug)))) Thank you thank you. . Although pretty much the same as video your very precise description and overlay screenshot got me into to 100 within minutes !!
127670/2
Here for the daily challenge. Just like the video.
