Cold Cuts level 2-10 can be cleared with only the Lazer bird. Send it over the main structure, then redirect it downward through the snowball. You should aim this redirection such that the Lazer bird will break the vertical wooden block below the snowball as well, causing the entire structure to fail. The score in the video below is 68,190.
Note: This level was changed in a later update. The video below represents our original strategy for the level, when the hollow squares were stone (now wood) and right support was comprised of three stone blocks (now two stone blocks and a snowball). Despite appearances, the level is now more difficult to pass. Our original strategy was to send the Lazer bird over the main structure, then redirect it downward through the highest wooden blocks. As stones toppled, all pigs could be popped. The score in the video below is 65,610.
I tried the suggested solution (i.e. dropping the laser bird vertically on the top wooden blocks)for ages, with no success.
I think this solution is a lot more reliable:
Fire the laser bird in an arc over the whole structure. When it is off to the right of the structure and almost at the same height as the right stone blocks, direct it so it flies back (horizontally, but slightly downwards) to the left and connects with the top face of the bottom right block. This should collapse the structure.

That worked. Right most block resting on the planetary ice, the one with the tiny square block resting on it. 3 stars, 71,265.
I’ve just been playing around trying to make sure this method works, and here’s a few tips which make it much easier. Firstly, zoom right in, so you have a close view of the structure. Secondly, send the laser bird in a high arc, so it will be high over the planet when you redirect it. Thirdly, tap ON the stone you want to take out – in this case, the bottom-right triangle-shaped block – this makes the bird’s aim very accurate. Fourthly, come down on the block from a high angle, not horizontal as I said in my first post. You may have to wait a little while before the structure collapses.

The lazer bird was right over that spot and ta-da!! The bird slid right down in, took out the snow bank on the right side of the bottom pig. It took a few seconds, and everything collapsed. So glad this one is finished. Thank you again. Not sure if I want to try to improve my score, or just call it a day :)
I’ve been using that purple bird wrong for the whole time. I thought it always flew forward at a 90 degree angle not where you tapped the screen. After reading the comments, I did it in one shot tapping the snow ball on the right of the structure and everything came tumbling down. Thanks BirdFeeder

One bird, 3 stars, 74100. Aimed Lazer at the 3 glass blocks holding up the wood on the left side….he went all the way through, hit the wood just above the big piggie in the middle, and the whole thing came tumbling down. Would have expected more points for all the damage, but am happy with “above average” for now, anyhow!!
This one worked for me. I was having trouble getting the other methods to work when I realized my configuration of stone blocks on the right is different than what is shown in the video. After the retanglar horizontal stone with the small wooden block on top, left to right, I have a stone triangle a small ice square and a hollow stone square. These jam up and don’t collapse the way the video does.
Anyways, this method is the one that worked for me.
You have a point. With each update, rovio seems to change that part of the level, so it’s obvious that the right hand blocks are your key to three stars. With the red planet update, there is a triangle stone and a two-by-four stone on top of a piece of snow, so now it’s VERY easy.
I found easier solution , If you just hit the ice on roof It can work easily
Also used this methode, this way the Lazer bird doesn’t have to be release in an angle (which is strangely very hard for me to do, guess working out the angle while the bird is flying is to much to process for my brain!)

Think of it as a hybrid of yellow bird and green bird. If you want to strike the far side, you can make it turn around. You simply touch your target.
PS- Following comments advice on this page I left the view zoomed in and now understand why some of you have trouble putting Laser right where you want. Hard to tag a target as the scene pans!
You know, for people who don’t have the game, it seems like it’s a little unfair that the laser bird goes towards a specific target, but once you play it you find out it’s very necessary because of the gravity controls. That’s how it was for me.

@Angry Bride I think it’s a love/hate relationship. Takes a bit of getting used to. Works best if you very precisely put your finger where you want them to go. I find that a lot easier said than done, though. Good Luck!
the bottom most pig is nested between two snow footings, one on the left and one of the right. the key is to take out the snow footing on the right hand side. this can be done by loosening up the space no the slant roof above. was able to replicate it directly by hitting the right most stone triangle and also by hitting the ice blocks on the left hand side.. either one works .
God, this level really upset me. At some point I manage to do a one-bird thing, but didn’t saw it right a way so I launch a 2nd. Take me 3hours to did it again. Finally got 80230. Worthed it ;)
That’s why I love Angry Birds. Screams of joy when I 3-stared a level ! My sister always freaked out.

I have a different method that yielded the score above. 1 bird solution. I angled the laser bird AWAY from the planet at about a 45 degree angle. When it looks right, the dotted trajectory line curls back towards the structure with the tip just about to fold back on itself. I aimed for the little wood piece between the two horizontal ice bars over the triangular stone block. The goal is to pass through and drag all of it down into the gully where gravity crushes everything. The key is to let the laser bird fall back toward the planet so you are almost flat when you target. I found the most consistent kill when I would tap in the empty space between the top of the two stone blocks. I wish I was proficient at editing jpegs like some are on here so I could show it. If somebody has a neat and tidy summary of what I wrote please feel free to edit.. And can you capture images on an Ipad2 without jail breaking?
Not seeing any horizontal ice bars on this level. What side of the structure are they on? Left or Right?
You can make a screenshot By pressing the home button and the on/button at the side off the iPad at the same time. The screenshot is than edded to your Filmrole. You can download it with iPhoto or send it from the iPad with email. If you want to send it with email there’s a button beside the trashcan in the right corner. Tap that and you get a lot of optoins to choose from. One of which is email.
Okay I will upload a pic or two later today. I have also refined the method. If you draw a line from the tip of the leftmost stone triangle downward to the edge of the wooden plank under the hollow stone square, that is the angle to shoot. When I shoot the angle is NOT flat as I posted but about 25-30 degrees down toward the wooden plank. The laser bird can drag both stones over into the pit with the help of the gravity field. The one bird solution has to have that wooden plank break. And the answer is that the two long ice bars are stacked over the leftmost stone triangle. Happy shooting,

Found an easier way…a direct assault instead of shooting Lazer over the structure. Shoot Lazer right in front where two ice blocks rest on another ice block. Broke right through and started a chain reaction for 71,240 points. Not 80,000+ but easy. ;)
81495…Well obviously this is one of those levels with many differnt ways to get a good score and I have yet a differnt one that works just about every time. I aim bird over planet and just as it’s passing the first cement triangle, tap on the tiney little wood piece and very left most corner of first cement triangle, if hit right, it is instant and this will cause the whole structure to cave in…if your a little off you can still get a good score because sometimes the left will shift and the cement plank will drop down and take out the snow bank base at the bottom right which supports the structure so it causes everything to cave in. I have got scores with this ranging from 77K to 81+K. btw…the angle coming down is not vertical but perhaps more between 2 and 3 o,clock.

After many tried over the squire very next to the triangle , drop vertically the laser bird,!!!! Just give me 81 695′ I got befor many 80 K’s but !! I wanted 81 ‘K’s . And I did it.

Came upon another strategy that was close in points. Launch the Lazer Bird over the structure and activate it when it is parallel to the right side. Have it hit the right tip of the first small triangle or the right tip of the second larger triangle or hit both tips. If you only hit the larger triangle’s tip and can get it to roll down and take the snow covered triangle out below, the glass block and grey rectangle block where the triangle use to rest, may start to vibrate and the structure will cave. This does not happen all the time.
This level was fun to watch.

Experiment with coming at it straight down, at a downward right trajectory, or pass it at come in at a downward left trajectory. They all work…

I see similar suggestions above. But I was getting frustrated with about 72k. I tried the idea suggested above coming in on the angle on the right side. After mega tries and having it not work for me, I said to myself “just keep it simple. So I aimed for that tiny brown wooden block on the left slope of the roof facing left. I did not power up. ( like some above. I too have a problem with the small screen of the ipod. and getting that bird to go where I want it to) So no power up to that small brown chip. It works about 1 in five times with various scores in the mid-high 70k`s. Finally I am satisfied with 80,915. And with more breakage could go higher.

Did anybody notice that this level changed after the upgrade? They added a little ice block on the right side of the structure. I think it is easier to drop everything now. Doesn’t seem to help to improve the score though.

Yes, I just improved my score (from 80810 to 83630)! Still using the strategy suggested by swellD and shown in the second video of E-Star. It still seems to work the best for me, though I tried different ones, including hitting the stone on the right side.
I like this level! I think it’s really cool to see when you hit the sweet spot and everything crumbles.
2-10 has changed since the “utopia” update, on the android, I’m not sure how it is on the others. The triangle and rectangle over to the right ontop of the ice structure are now a hollow block with a small ice cube. Its a little trickier to get the 3 stars. There may have been other changes, I had to factory reset my android, so I’m going through the levels again.

They’ve updated it twice so far. The Utopia update now has a triangle stone, then a small ice block, and a hollow rectangular stone. It’s actually a bit harder because you have to break through the hollow stone block with your lazer instead of just pushing in the blocks. I wonder why Rovio hasn’t kept this level alone since the release.

I think it makes a “backside” approach near to impossible to three star. I stand by my posted strategy above as that still works ( I haven’t tried to eke out some extra points yet) as I have tested it today.
Anyone managed to collapse the vertical cement rail on bottom left after everything cave in? Seems that top score’s impossible without destroying it or some leftmost ice.
I cannot believe they changed this level again! Now they have made it more difficult. Before, the triangular block slided down, but with this square hollow block, it is practically impossible to drop everything with one bird. Why did they do it? Why change levels at all? I would think Rovio people know that players like to compete, and such changes make competition unfair for those who download the game at a later time. They will never be able to beat the scores that people obtained with previous versions.

Aim for the glass block on top of the smallest wooden block.It takes out the three pigs; you just have to wait a bit.
Help!I have tried many times to hit the arc with the Lazer bird but in vain.I also tried to hit the right stone blocks horizontally.I need to use the Ice bird to complete the level,so I only get 2 stars then.I can’t slide the stones by the wood to destroy the snow.How should I do?Please reply soon.

Take a look at these screenshots to see if that will help. This folder has both left and right sided approaches with the latest setup of the square hollow block and small ice block instead of the solid stone from the original.
An interesting tidbit. on the left hand approach, on the two consecutive shots you can see that small iceblock on the right change from ice before the tap on the lazer to stone when it’s accelerating and back to ice after it hits….crazy huh?
This won’t work for me, the blocks aren’t set up the same.
I thought I was the only one struggling. My blocks are set up different. Instead of the triangle and rectangle at the far right I have an open square brick. This makes it so I can never collapse the snow footing on the right and my structure never implodes! I try not to move on before I get 3 stars but after reading all the tips I had to throw in the towel and admit defeat. Four days and not even 60k is pretty disappointing! So if anyone who has the same set up that I do has had any luck PLEASE help!
E-Star’s first shot ( the thread above ) is very repeatable and the recent changes don’t seem to affect the strategies described.
Even if you don’t clear the level with that shot, it will open up the field just enough for you to finish it off with ice bird.

LOL slim you commented yourself abour the change back on June 8th. it changed after the Utopia update. there is now on the right hand side a hollow square stone block topped with a small iceblock and then a triangle stone block. Makes the backside approach more difficult and IMHO nearly impossible to one bird. The left side approaches haven’t been affected as far as I can tell.
@swelld – I have that same config on my level and I one birded it today hitting the little ice block, but I agree with you it is much more difficult…but not impossible.
Yes PlayDBird, I just did it with one bird. I was trying to get sceenshots to help those that can’t make it work through the videos. EStar did a great job with the strategy that I first used so I never uploaded screen shots before.

75,740 I have been trying to get thru this level for three days. It was just now when I was looking on Utube for other methods that I noticed the arm holding everything up was different then the videos here. The snowman on my IPad has an open square that goes against two stone blocks. The only way thu is to hit that open block dead on with the laser bird. Break it and the entire thing goes down.
i dont know if any one has notices but mine the blocks are different at the far right side…any suggestions?

Well with the snow on the right side of the structure I did it in my first try just hit the snow block on the right side and the laser bird with hit a snow block at the bottom all pigs popped worked for me
