Angry Birds Space Cold Cuts Level 2-9 Walkthrough

The best strategy for Cold Cuts level 2-9 is to send the Blue bird just above the first pig, splitting so that one bird causes the boulders to fall. Managing this while popping the left pig can yield very high scores. We missed the left pig in our video, so we use Ice Bird to ruin his day.

One birder relatively easy if you split the blue bird early enough to catch the left most pig and knock down the boulders. I used a similar angle as in the walkthrough, just separated the birds earlier. Then hope for lots of damage :).

I can get this shot easily too but the score just isn’t there for me. The highest I’ve gotten this way is 64,810. : (

trying to catch al three stars i tried the method above and miracously did a similar thing with one bird woop woop x was trying for hours to get three stars on this level… finally

I can never get one bird to take out all the pigs. But, I found it easy to take out the tiny ice cube holding up the boulders. So if I took them out and scored at least 42,000 from those boulders I could then use the Icebird to take out the left pig. I use the iceberg to target the triangle on the planet surface on the far left. It would take out a certain portion of the ice underneath the pig causing the pig to fall. You earned approximately 12,000 points by doing that bringing you up over 64,000.

You are so right about the ball and chains…I got my one birdie the same but the scores do vary alot depending on how the stones and chain fall…anywhere from 58K to my high of 71575.

Aim fo the blue part of the first top triangle. Split shortly before.
That most times clears the level with a one-birder.

But my observation is that the middle structure has to be greatly diminished for the third ball to swing down hard and slam into things. This can be observed in E-Star’s video.

I aim for the top surface of the horizontal ice supporting the triangle as mentioned in sinrise above. The key is to split the bird as close as possible. If you release close enough, then after split, the lowest blue bird (the ideal case would be the lowest two birds, which led to my current score) would hit the ice in the central structure. So by the time the three boulders hit the structure, most of the ice have already been broken, and the energy of the boulders would be used to crush the wood instead. On the other hand, if the blue bird is not split close enough, it is very unlikely to get a score higher than 73k.

Agreed on the split VERY close! If you don’t accidentally crash into the first structure before splitting every once in a while, you are not splitting late enough. I have been lining up my targeting dots with the very end of the ice plank above the first pig.

Used most the strategies listed above. All worked fine on obtaining 3 stars.
It seems the key is like what HKG mentioned about splitting the blue bird as close as possible the the first structure.

HKG is right. By splitting the blud bird as close as possible, you can easily get between 71 to 73k. I guess with a bit of luck you can get a better score

I fully support @hkg strat, but I might add that (i) you still can get 74k when only one bird reaches the right structure whereas the bottom one is trapped within the first (ii) there is a possibility that the bottom bird gets trapped into the left structre but significantly damages it by bouncing on the right vertical stone, then pushing the left vertical stone to the left, which can end up in destroying the snow below and causing a partial collapse of the left structure, see pic: https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/sglouk/album/picture/11038/

Unfortunately, the only time I could witness it I got a very inefficient destruction of the right structure, and got only 71.5k. However, this could have the potential to go over the Top Score if I had gotten on the same time a 74k class destruction of the right part.

I count this as a new strat, however, the rarity of the event lets me think that you will almost always get a more frequent very efficient destruction with HKG strat than with this one.

Thanks @sglouk that definitely helped and yes i would say an alternate strat also. I also keep getting consistent 71 and immediately resetting but i waited and just what you said with the partial collapse it kinda happened unexpectedly so i didn’t see exactly how it all went but hey I got the 74k ;)

Glad to know I helped. If you manage to make this collapse happen on a regular basis, then yes, it is the correct way to get the top score. I’ll get back on this level, since I am not very successful with others at the moment (with 2-1, 2-4, 2-5 and 2-8).

@kathy @sglouk I’ve been looking for places to improve my episode score, too (because @rat9), and I saw your recent activity here. Where do you have the aiming lie exit the first house to make it collapse? I have it exiting the first structure all over the place, from halfway under the beam supporting the roof triangle to just over, and the base of the house isn’t budging.

I would say I got it by accident. The picture I posted may be of help since it shows a small portion of trajectory + splitting point. But basically, I was trying to reprodcuce HKG’s strat above, therefore, it was close to what this person said. @kathy succeeded to have this happen in a more frequent way, she should be of more help.

@burpie I aim so that my trajectory line just hits the top left corner of the flat ice bar which is supporting the snow triangle on top f the first structure (a tad bit lower than e-star video) and split as close as possible to that point. Good luck :)
