Cold Cuts bonus level S-4 is unlocked by 3-starring levels 2-1 through 2-10 of Cold Cuts. One strategy for this level is to fling the space egg below the asteroid belt, aiming for the small bottom pig on the far right side. Now fire another space egg in a similar trajectory, but this time detonate it between the gap of the left and middle groups of asteroids. This should cause it to be pulled down into the planet below, taking out the rest of the pigs. If a pesky pig remains you know what to do.

I pulled the asteroids down in order from left to right crushing all debris on the planet. 159k
166920 – Took the first two clusters with the 1st egg, then the right with the 2nd. I don’t know if it is possible to get all of them with one egg. Kind a doubt it.
Sorry, my bad! Forgot the description. I sent the 1st egg between the two right clusters. 2nd like the video except a tad bit lower. Not much! It’ll go into the gravity field.
I don’t mean to be critical, but don’t you mean to say ” I sent the 1st egg between the two LEFT clusters”? That’s how I did it, with the second egg bringing down the RIGHT cluster resulting in a rain of terror on the surviving piggies. Both shots are tough but repeatable.
I need to get my AB space scores entered one of these days. I just scored 180k on this level. Bounced the first egg slight off the top of the first big blue boulder, causing it to crash the planet, and the debris hit the smaller blue boulder. The egg itself bounced right in the middle of the first two clusters, so the explosion causes both to go down and kill most structure and pigs on the ground. This is very repeatable once you get the angle right. The rotation of the boulder has to be just right to get it to bounce back up right between the two rock structures.
Send the second egg just over the gravity field, pull down the remaining structure to destroy the rest. 170k + 1 leftover egg for 10k for just over 180k.
Just like to add that the rotation of the boulder needs to be clockwise. Thanks for great strategy, @pointdexter5
Glad to see it works for others as well, guess you get to keep the high until I have time to enter my AB Space scores. I took a screen shot too, as there was zero left on the floor so think it will be hard to beat. The only thing left were those blue boulders higher up in the sky. I generally score between 175k and 179k, the 180k was just good destruction.
I actually had a few wooden planks and a concrete block left, so I will go for your 180k when my other scores are satisfactory. May the best flinger win ;-)
Wow @pointdexter5! Awesome shot! Can’t believe how much difference one ice-steroid actually makes! Thanks for the excellent tip :)
I figured it had to serve a purpose. Learned too much from other shooters here to ignore strategic rocks. Now I just need to make time to enter my score before somebody breaks it.
Thanks for the great strategy! 175K (4th place, at least for now)
Excellent strat, @pointdexter5 !!! I was stuck at 163k with three birds thinking there was no way to get a two-birdie, until I read your strat-post. Thanks! Unlike @prosperity , I find it easier (quicker?) if the comet is spinning counter-clockwise because you can ricochet off the “hooky-thing.” (Ask @surfcow what a “hooky-thing” is :) But I have been successful with a clockwise–and static–comet on occasion, too. For me, I can only get your perfect first shot about 3-4% of the time. That’s 1 in 25-33 attempts, but well worth the time spent. (Took me two hours tonight to go from 163k to a super high score). TY again, Pointdexter5!
Oh yeah, then there’s the second bird. :)
Glad it is working well for everybody. I find it very repeatable, regardless of direction. I generally have 175k+, but I think my high is going to be hard to brake as nothing was left to destroy. I’ll work this weekend on getting my scores online.
@poindexter5 It’s players like you, who think outside the box, that make this site what it is. I thought that the blue comets were probably there for a reason, but I couldn’t figure out how to use them to my advantage. Thanks for the strategy. I also find that the comet’s rotational direction isn’t important, and like Nepomuk, I’m more often successful when it’s going counterclockwise. I’ve even gotten the bird to go so far up between the two rock clusters that it just pulled them together, fast enough to kill the attached pigs, but with no downward momentum to get them to the planet. Augh! I think that there may be a few extra points to be had when a piece of the first comet shoots up and hits the small comet closest to the slingshot. I’ve had that happen a few times, but in order to achieve your score, you probably already got it and just may not have noticed (though that’s unlikely).
@snoid, the little comet being hit is what needs to happen, when I had my score the only thing left where the comets out is space. Everything else was completely gone.
Thanks a bunch @pointdexter5 for the great strat ;-)
Your technique of bouncing it off the big blue boulder/ice-steroid improved my score over 7K points!
I wasn’t very succesful in getting it to go to the middle of first two “rock piles” when it was spinning fast counter clockwise, however if it was on the “slow” speed of counter clockwise it worked. It also worked for me when it wasn’t moving but found it easiest for me when it was spinning clockwise. Congrats on your great score too and thanks again for sharing ;-)
Good call on that strat @pointdexter, raised my score by 19k+. Thank you very much and Happy Hunting!
Top Score 181040 for today’s Challenge, about time.
The method used is as outlined by @pointdexter5 on his strat.

@pointdexter5 – Thanks for sharing the strategy! I was above average with my old score, but by using your method I got to TOP5 with 179680 :D
Thank you for sharing your strategy @pointdexter5, I used it to beat the top score today. The first shot, though not easy, works from time to time, and I actually had more difficulties with the second egg. In the end, I found it is the best to activate it a bit earlier, when it passes the smaller pig in the bubble. If activated later, it brings down the right cluster straight down, which almost always leaves part of the wooden structure intact. When activated earlier, there is a risk that the cluster will not fall, but when it falls, it goes somewhat to the left and destroys more on the ground.
Since the official top score is 179980, my score should qualify me for another underdog. My screenshots http://angrybir.de/10IrUly and http://angrybir.de/12XsJFj
@Pointdexter5 – what is your score exactly? I am just curious whether my score is higher or lower than yours.
@annach, don’t worry yourself over pointdexter5’s score, I alleviated that problem by getting the top, top score myself a few minutes ago. Happy Hunting my friend!
@annach, ahh, glory is but such a fleeting moment, I’ve just been bested by the bottom of the food chain for me, A Rodent! Happy Hunting!
That’s not nice. LOL
BTW, @rat9 Congrats on your Top Score, you shot the flying carpet out from under me, WTG. Happy Hunting!
Congrats to @annach, @werewolf69 and @rat9 for top scores! I am happy to just follow behind you grabbing what crumbs you leave me! I swooped in for #4 in the UD Gallery for this challenge this morning.
Thank you @gypsybird and congrats on achieving UnderDog today, I hear they ran out of normal puppies so now they’ll be awarding werewolf puppies. Happy Hunting!
@werewolf69 – I’ve ALWAYS dreamed of having my own little werewolf puppie! I’ve changed the name of my 2nd pooch to ‘Wolfie’! I’m sure I can tame him to be less frightening, unless I need him to protect me for some reason. ;-)
@WereWolf69 — Was hoping to get one of those werewolf puppies today, but may not make it. I’m sure it would grow up to be like the nice, loyal werewolf in Harry Potter.
Looks like you guys both got me. I have 180340, and have a screen shot showing 3 ice boulders left in the sky. I figured it could get broken only if one was lucky enough to pop one or two additional boulders. As I said before, my focus has always been ABO. I enjoy space and star wars, have played a little of seasons, but of I had to enter and maintain scores on all, I don’t think I would have time to maintain scores and rankings. I’m too competitive to just put it to the side. So congrats to both of you for beating my score. This site is all about sharing strategies, so glad to hear it worked for other. Should have entered this one after all, as it stood for about 9 months.
@pointdexter5, it wouldn’t hurt you in the least to post all those other scores from Space & Star Wars.
You’d actually benefit from it since your total points would definitely go up.
Having low scores isn’t shameful, it just means that you haven’t yet dedicated yourself to raising them. Happy Hunting My good friend.
Been trying @pointdexter5‘s strat for a while. I must say that the smaller icesteroid gets hit once in a blue moon, and when it does, I manage to leave a pig after the second shot. However, I have found that it’s possible to get 169680 with 3 eggs! So there is hope for the flinging-challenged after all.
@pointdexter5 Thanks for your strategy!
My score up +8000points!
Thanks for the strategy @pointdexter5! Just to add to @prosperity note – the ice boulder need to be hit in the smooth part, it doest matter if its rotating clocwise or counter-clockwise. However you need to hit restart button several times if you want clockwise rottation, or you have to wait for that smooth part.
Thanks @pointdexter5 I’m just getting around to these bonus levels and getting used to how the eggs work. Your tip of bouncing off the snowball worked great! Got me above average for now:)
That’s how I got my score, @Liam. Having the left-side debis out of the way improved my aim for taking out the far-side pigs.
Thanks, @pointdexter5, you really should enter your AB Space scores:)
I know. My focus has always been on AB (original), as far as scores go. I think AB Star Wars is actually the most visually appealing. I’m just worried that if I enter other scores, I will run out of time managing my scores, as keeping your rankings is a constant battle here. I may nice I feel “done” with ABO.
I just made a video using @Pointdexter5 ‘s method,
the score in the video is 166k. But 170k+ is easily possible with little luck ;)
Here’s the video: http://youtu.be/fqUOUZF35TI
Thanks for the great strat, Pointdexter5 :D
Cheers!
Great guide, I got 162980 points :D
this was a good techniquie! i beat my highscore
good strat @pointdexter5 . a lot of thanks.
Look, a puppy.
First shot glancing blow off large iceteriod. I missed the small iceteroid while getting this score, so a higher score is possible. Second shot, a little different from all the other posts. I shot the egg into the pig bubble in front of the far right group of rocks. Ricocheted down and right. Activated fairly quickly. This rotates the group of rocks 180 degrees. Don’t know if this scored more somehow or sucked in the other iceteroid. Seems like a score of 184000+ is possible. Good hunting to all and to all a good nite. P.S. My score photo is in my public AB album. Not really sure how to move it here.
Wow @rat9 – how the heck did you get the egg to go ‘into’ the bubble pig on the right? Every time I tried to do that the egg bounces off the bubble and tumbles down sadly to the ground totally missing the opportunity to suck the rock cluster away to the ground. Great shot!
@annach You can teach an old dog a new trick. If I had a puppy he could help me do things like link this photo for my underdog. http://angrybir.de/14kGRIf
Thanks @rat9 I improved my score using your tips. I bounced off the large asteroid , not sure if I got the small one, and second shot into the right side of bubble pig activating quickly to drag the far cluster of boulders to drop on the last remaing tower:)
Thanks @rat for the post and first bird and thanks @comex666 for the video for the second bird. Used the same two shots and was able to obtain an above average score.
Finally earned my 2nd Underdog! A brand new puppy for me – I’ll name this one Sweets! I added 6k to my score last night and then got up this morning to resume playtime. Once I saw that @annach, @werewolf69 and @rat9 all had exceeded the top score, I knew I had to spring to action. Okay, my score in today’s challenge isn’t as glorious as the others, but it did get me to #4 overall (so far). I’m just happy to have a new pooch. Here’s the link: http://angrybir.de/16B6jA5 for the @amslimfordy collection.
Huge THANKS to @pointdexter5 for his blessed contribution of using the snow-asteroid as a leverage! It didn’t work for me so much last summer as I just couldn’t get the timing right to ricochet off the big snowball, but it did serve me quite well this time.
Congrats to @spurs01 for knocking me down one notch in today’s challenge and winning yet another puppy for his collection!
I’m not sure I understand your comment…I know I didn’t get another puppy (at least I don’t think I did). If I prevented you from adding to your collection. Oops! Sorry! Would never deliberately do that! Just finished up my part-time job for the day and off to cook BBQ chicken for the husband. I know, it’s a sin to mention cooking birds on this site, but we at the pigs the other day! ;-) Happy flinging!
@spurs01 You did qualify for a new puppy, since you beat the highest opening score (BiteKlavs 179980)! Get that screenshot and strat in and join todays Underdog Club. And congrats!
Seriously? I had no idea! Here’s the link to my score on flickr. Hope it works. They changed their site and I’m not doing so well with it!
Strat was above, pointexter, I believe. Nothing different, just dumb luck!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/23661641@N08/8929842047/
Thanks to both 0of you. I really had no idea!
Did I mention we have 4 dogs here at home? Nemo (Eskie Rescue), Zera (Chow Mix Rescue), Einstein (Mini Schnauzer Rescue) and Radar (Cairn Terrier). Guess you know what I’ll name my puppies should I be fortunate enough to get any more!
Yes, @spurs01, you DID earn a new puppy today! Thanks to @catsnbirds and being on when I was away to confirm that to you! Hey, I wasn’t whining about the notch thing okay. I still get the new puppy too! Yay for all!
@amslimfordy – are you going to take care of the underdogs for the June 1/2 Challenge? There were five users who beat the top score and posted proofs: Rat, WereWolf69, GypsyBird, spurs01, and myself.
I won’t have time to update my spreadsheet for a few days. I thought all of you already had the badge so there wasn’t much else to do. Just awarded @rat9‘s.
New Record 181830 :D
@nintendo-s-t-a-r
Ok sorry ^^
I think I used the same strat as Rat ^^ Like shooting on the left iceberg and flying between the first two rocks, The rest everyone knows.
But I did a picture for you.
Here is the link

Top score proof:
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/sglouk/album/picture/16077/
I used @pointdexter5‘s strat, with the extra complication that the medium-sized ice boulder that is close to the sling be hit by some debris of the first big boulder, so that it crashed onto the planet holding the sling. This is not as reapeatable as the initial idea, but still not so uncommon. Crashing this boulder on the planet probably gives one extra 1k. Not crucial to get a good score, but definitely necessary to hunt for top score.
I would add that after this, one smaller boulder from the medium-sized one went up toward the neaerest remaining big boulder and hit it which made it drift toward last big boulder, however, there was no chain reaction there. Whether or not it can happen is unsure, but “if it is there, there has to be a reason”, therefore, I think that such a chain reaction (or another one) has been considered by the game designers. If so, another extra 4k could be at reach.
After 2nd shot absolutely everything down was destroyed, with the exception of two small wire parts, however, I have aleardy observed similar amount of destruction with significantly less points, so that (almost) complete destruction is not the only parameter that gives good scores here. How parts are destroyed also matters, but in a way I have not been able to figure out.
Incidentally, I want to insist on the fact that boulder rotation does NOT affect the outcome of such shots, contrarily to a widespeard belief. With respect to the game physics, I am 99.99% sure that these boulders are circular objects, regarless on how there are actually drawn on the screen.
Sorry @sglouk – I used Rat’s strat and somehow bested your top score from 3 years ago. Only managed to get a photo of the tally screen.

@hallieginsb
No problem. Congrats!
