I aimed the red bird at the little blue ice cube on top of the left suspended boulder(slightly higher than the video). The boulder was knocked down to the surface, meanwhile red went on to bounce off the small boulder next to the tnt, which exploded. The other boulders fell to the surace adding to the destruction there leaving one surviving pig. I sent ice bird to the surface to finish him off for a two-birder 123k.

@hallieginsb — Thanks for the strat, but so far I can’t get it to work. What part of the blue ice cube do you aim at, and does the red bounce off the small rectangular boulder or the larger round one?

@hallieginsb –Thanks again! Asking for help and saying I couldn’t get your strat to work seemed to be the key. First fling after posting, I got a reasonable amount of destruction from red hitting the small rectangular stone and detonating the TNT. Took 3 birds to finish everything, but still got 121K — 11 K higher than my previous score!

@mvnla2 was just looking at this level again when you made the strat work. Yes, it was the rectangular stone that hit the tnt. The explosion caused the other boulder by the tnt to fall to the surface on the left, and then something hit the boulder below and to the right of the space station and caused it to fall to the surface as well. If both boulders fall, the level can be finished with the secind bird. But if not, you can still get a good score with three birds. Congrats!

@mvnla2 -my score is thanks to @hallieginsb . I used their strategy, but I must have gotten a bit luckier with the destruction. The aiming on the first shot must be super precise. If you see the ice block fly up at the rocks, you are aiming too low. If you skip off the rock and into the tower, you are aiming too high. The red bird should bounce off the block you aim at and hit the rock below the TNT. The rocks will rain down onto the towers and kill most or all the pigs. Then aim the ice bird at the stone leg of the standing tower closest to the slingshot and trigger it when it hits the pile of debris. The tower should fall and crush all the ice cubes you just made. Hopefully this explaination helps, good luck and happy flinging!

@rat9, probably because the aiming can be a bit finicky. If you tend to twitch at the most inopportune moment like I do, it makes the strategy that much harder to execute.

@Lyrian thanks for the detailed description, I really can’t see where that ice block goes it just disintegrates after i hit it.. and specifically which ‘leg’ of which tower do you throw ice bird.. if my boulder falls it wipes out the first tower.. are you meaning the thin cement leg opposed to the short thick one? Sorry for all the questins lol. Thanks for all your help:)

Rank: Shooter with 855 points
By Lyrian (@lyrian)Score: 130,970

@kathy, Ideally, your ice block won’t go anywhere. It should be destroyed when you hit the boulder. As for the ice bird, I sent it at the long thin stone leg that is holding up the central tower (the one that has the roof piece sticking out of the gravitational field). But, where you shoot the ice bird really depends on what remains after the destruction the first bird causes. Sometimes that middle tower is destroyed and the far right tower remains. Mostly, what you are aiming to achieve with the ice bird is killing off the last pigs and knocking a tower over so it crushes whatever things you froze with it.

When using the ‘bounce off the ice cube’ strategies, if you get one of the scenarios where the right crane is knocked over, wait a few seconds before firing Bird #2. That crane continues flailing around when it falls over, and sometimes will move to the left, bumping the wooden leg of the structure. Depending on how it falls, it can cause a slow collapse of all the structures.

A 1-birder is possible, but you still need to fling the 2nd and 3rd bird for points.

More info: The trigger is a stone ball falling on the crane/drill near the white triangular base. The crane’s arm jerks and the ball bounces into the base. The arm jerks again and the crane falls over.
It kinda looks similar to someone bouncing a tennis ball off their bicep.

@bonneypattycat, I used 2 birds for my score. The first bird I sent into the ice cube on top of the stone closest to the sling shot. The second bird was used to break the left stone leg of the bottom part of the second tower. It fell and crushed all the debris underneath it. I’ve been trying to find a video recorder that doesn’t require me to root my phone so I can make a video showing what I did, but so far no luck.

Something truly bizarre happened here, which I’ll explain later. My strategy is a variant of @hallieginsb‘s which we all know and love.

Red bounces off the ice cube like normal. My variation is Red hits the round boulder under the TNT at 5:00, bounces off the rectangular boulder and drifts straight up, clipping the TNT bubble’s right side and detonating it. This sends the round boulder to the left of the center structure. When it breaks the left leg, you get a 124-132k 1-birder. But even higher scores are possible with a well-placed 2nd bird.

When the 1bird fails, it leaves the center pig and his tower and a tall debris pile on either side. Annoyed, I flung Ice bird just over the left side debris, He skimmed the debris and the round boulder, icing most of the left side. He then broke through the center structure’s left leg and detonated on top of the hollow stone block under the right leg. This iced the falling structure and most right side debris.

The collapsing center structure detonated the ice bombs made by the boulder, which collapsed the piles until there was a uniform layer of debris on the surface. After the crumbling stopped, the weird thing happened.

A debris piece shattered in the center of the pile. Then it was like the center of the gravity field moved to that spot. Starting at the left and right edges of the pile, most of the debris lifted off the surface and began quickly falling to the center point, destroying everything. My best analogy is, the debris pile was resting on an invisible open book. Raise both sides to close it, and everything falls to the center. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Even better, some debris stayed put, and some was in mid-fall when the level timed out, If anyone can replicate this, I estimate 136-140k+ scores are possible. My only advice: If your 1b attempt leaves the center pig alive, before resetting, see if you can get ice bird to the hollow block. If so, take the shot!

Just a follow-up. I looked closer and noticed the center of the planet and the center of the grav field are different. The planet is offset higher and a hair to the right. I think that combined with the deceptively tall structures makes it more prone to these weird collapses. Still doesn’t explain what happened, though.

To my very surprise I achieved a new highscore, so maybe it is appropriate to give some explanation:

Red bird at top of the ice cube, it bounced off and skimmed the large boulder which was pushed slowly into the TNT. All 3 boulders fell down straight and did a lot of damage.
Then the magic started after ice bird was thrown. It went deep into the debris and touched at least two of the boulders. After the remaining structure collapsed the icy boulders exploded and cleared nearly everything.
