There’s a lot of points in the square stones. First shot like the video, 2nd and third shots to knock asteroids into the gravity field or clean up debris, bomb into the little stones to blast then into the gravity field. It helps if the stones are tightly clustered. 156550

@dmsral You are very correct about there being lots of points left for using all the birds given. Got 170k following your suggestion.

I gave up on the direct assault on the boosters of the “rocket” contraption (top left), frustrated that I couldn’t get it to stay together long enough to get to the center rock grid, and the points available there.

Instead, I flung just slightly above the rocket at about a 2 o’clock angle. After passing the rocket, I aim at the side of the top booster. When hit just right, just that booster ignites, swinging the rocket contraption down into the rock grid where hopefully the canister is bumped and explodes, sending rocks everywhere for a nicely scoring one bird solution.

I’ve been playing with this strategy a bit more. While it still fails far more than it succeeds, I do find the rocket is more likely to at least try to swing down than immediately explode if I let the bird fly way out before aiming it back at the side of the top booster.

I think I’m doing as @furfeather describes as I play catch-up here. I’m finally above average with a 1-birder of 165160. I shot just over, as close as possible & redirected laser bird once it was off screen going through the stones tapping the top of the “tank” about where the triangle corner & “tank” seam intersect. The “tank” ignited, seperates from the flux capacitor & all things literally fell into place & ignitions were in the middle of the stone grid for extra points. It was fun to watch it finally come together as I’m still struggling for above average scores with many of these levels …. I guess it’s why I took a break 9 months ago.

Thanks @furfeather great strat !!; yep it took a while for it to all sync but worth the rinse/repeat. the 3 P’s defintiltey the mey factor here. And I agree letting chuck go out a bit before re-directing him is key!!
Thanks

Almost the same approach as @furfeather Thanks a lot too for @comex666 video Always apreciated.
with a minor difference, that i hit the stone right of right canister. This way the chance of exploding is less and the whats-o-ever thing floats softly to the little stones (sometimes exploding there for a 1-birder.

In my 180k try it didn´t explode, so i used a second bird down, redirecting into the boulder, which went as wanted up to the little stones, where it explodes, sending one down to the canister there and igniting the whats-o-ever thing from first shot. Anything explodes.

@furfeather In your strategy, were you hitting the side of the tank where it’s exposed near the bottom, or closer to the front, using the rocks to slow you down? It is pretty tough to get that shot without detonating the ship.

I’ve been doing the same general thing on the other booster/tank. I hit the inner side of the lower air tank, either in the middle, or the rounded part near the ‘nozzle’. That tank either pushes the rock pile together, or detonates the lava rock, while the upper tank circles around around and pushes the big boulder and the other ship into the planet.

Both are pretty cool shots, just wish it didn’t go downhill from there. :P

@kelani, I aimed closer to the top of the canister. Not right at the top, maybe a third of the way down from the top. You are right, the ship definitely explodes far more often than not. And even when it doesn’t explode, the ship doesn’t always swing down as desired to start the chain reaction. Frustrating! But, it did work for me a few times. I did find that the further out I could send the bird before aiming back at the booster, the better chance of it not exploding the ship.

176k. Same first shot as @furfeather, triggering the top rocket. This time half of the ship, including the flux capacitor, obligingly parked to the left of the rock grid.
Shot 2 was to the south of the lava asteroid, triggering that. The lava set of the flux capacitor, and the flux capacitor sent a ton of rocks into the gravity field to finish the level.

@hurpie, same here. Instead of using the second bird, one of the keys triggered the flux capacitator – so one bird and game over. Unfortunately, no hs – perhaps later.

@sglouk No crashes for m on this level on ipad or PC, but I have had multiple instances of some of the ships spinning wildly upon startup.

A few people have posted about those kinds of crashes in several other Beak2 levels, though.

@kelani : out of interest, the upper spacecraft just span slowly round when I restarted the level just now, until the nose was pointing directly west. Was hoping to maybe capitalize on this but didn’t find a decent shot.

Not that I have a great score but I tried something aiitle different i reduced power and sent chuck into the wood plank between the cannisters . They blew up lol BUT the big ship with the glass dome crashed to the planet below and sent those 2 blasters soaring around destroying lots of the little blocks and everything in their path :)

i tried the first shot as in the video. Purple Bird behind the ‘rocket ship’ though i hit it in at an angle against the right ‘gas tank’ which spins around and sometimes drives everything toward the block field.
Last go around i had enough time to launch 2nd Purple Bird into the asteroid and dropped that on top of debris on the planet while everything else pretty much crashed into itself.
Kinda cool when the chain reaction works correctly, but once the piggies pop the game is eager to tally up points… there were still gas tanks flying towards debris that i didn’t receive points for.
So many flings. So many missed points!

Weird seeing no comments in almost 6 years on these levels. Good to know that good scores are still available using these strategies, though.

Much the same as everyone else. I pushed the flux capacitor from about 2 o’clock and hoped for the best using all the birds.
