One strategy for Angry Birds Short Fuse level 28-9 is to fling the Shockwave Black bird over everything and into the small concealed gap behind the potions. The launched ingredients will infect several pigs and will usually clear the level. For higher scores, infect as many pigs as possible with the tripling potion. The score in the video below is 168,250.

BBstraight ahead into structure, with some luck the destruction will be sufficient. One can also try, as per the video, to lob BB overstructure into the trench and explode all bottles into the structure hoping for more points, though I could never exceed 155k with this method.

Keep trying the lob, but reload if the the tripler bottle doesn’t get the two pigs closest to it. That’s where the extra 20k comes from. The rest is debris and gas cylinder luck.

Nothing to report here, same strat as video. The rest is pure luck. Little detail: the more often you try, te more chance you get for a higher score

1st) high arc to the slope to the left (!) side of the trench on the right; was aiming for just to the left of the pink bottle. activate somewhere in that area (was still experimenting with it when i got my current score). hope the three potions get catapulted into the structure in the middle.

changed into this after getting bored with the trench on the right (only a few times above 180k in many attempts with a best of 183k), and then quickly concluded (within a few attempts) that the trench had been just a decoy. i found it much easier to score high with the slope-shot, the point being that you want the combined effects of the potions in order to destroy the middle structure (usually the top structure will be taken down as a consequence, from below), so you don’t want to disperse the potions as is the case with the trench-shot. it got me several good (~180k scores) scores and my current best of 188k within 15 minutes of play. in that case all three potions combined on both pigs (blue first, so they were replicated). top and left side cleared, but still quite some debris (more than 10k worth), so probably much more in it, though i don’t know how frequent such a combination is (this was the first good one for me).

@vuelva – did you mean to the right of the pink lotion? I can’t get the pink to go left into the tower if inland to the left.

Thank you. I think i recall the pink (fa/ro)lling to the left sometimes, before the bird becomes active, but prompted by your comment, tried to repeat it just now and couldn’t do it (or something coming close, i.e. the pink going somewhat west instead of straight east) for the past 10 minutes… May have been a lucky shot. Anyway, here’s the screenshot showing the final destruction (doesn’t look that great) and 158K score (excellent) after the 1st, for a final score of 188K after adding 30K bonus for the remaining three birds:

I tried both ways, inside the crevice and outside the crevice, over and over. My high score came from inside the crevice.

Also …

The crevice is a little deeper on my screen than in the ABN video. Android phone, version 5.02. I never played this level in any earlier version. Could this be one of the levels that Rovio tweeked?

This might be a little superstition on my end, but I find that if you follow the video and let the BB explode automatically (as opposed to tapping it for detonation), it launches the bottles farther. Again, that might be hocus pocus.

196100 with one bird.

Same strategy as in the video.
I aimed a little farther on this run and let the bird detonated by itself. It was around the end of the second grass patch.

BTW, as @samsonkj noticed, the level has slightly changed with the last version. I am not sure there is a direct consequence on the scoring though.

@asher @samsonjk I just got here for scoring runs. I definitely notice that activating just before you hit the botto. Of the trench gives a better chance of lobbing the blue potion between the two pigs and the pink getting both up top. Consistent with your observation asher as to the shocker self activating before hitting bottom and Samson noticing the trench is a little deeper. Trying @vuelva shot I did get some decent result by barely missing the ice triangle the pink potion sits on. It did fall to the left, blue got to the Piggie pair first, but pink potion flew OVER the top structure.
Both good shots, having two alternatives breaks up monotony.

I’ve managed just 190k but nothing more. A change maybe which prevents more?
