Angry Birds Short Fuse Level 28-5 Walkthrough

One strategy for Angry Birds Short Fuse level 28-5 is to target the legs of the right tower with a Yellow bird. The more damage points earned, the better. The falling boulder will cause a chain reaction, clearing most of the level. Use a Shockwave Black bird to clear the stone tower and throw debris into the remaining pigs. The score in the video below is 145,180.

Same strategy as video but repeat, repreat, repeat, … Like many levels, there is a broad spread in scores for seemingly identical shots. If there’s a key to this one, it is to manually detonate the second shot just before it hits the first structure — just like in video.

You need to aim the bomb bird towards the base of the stone tower so that more debris gets thrown towards the wood tower causing massive destruction and loads of points!

I reckon 160k is possible.

Same as video but my WB went straight thru the far tower. 151,890 so far.., I’m “repeating” for few more pts eac time! :-)

161.5/2 by a variation on the video strategy:
1st) speed up immediately to hit right tower at upper edge of horizontal stone slab. intended goal: tower should fall (slowly) to the right into destruction, but the top part with the big stone should fall to the left and take out the horizontal wood at the base of the middle structure first, and set off the chain reaction as usual, destroying the middle structure and the right part of the left structure. my best score after that was 119k, but that happened only once, but 110k+ scores are quite frequent.
the shot needs to be quite precise but after some practice i now get it 1 in 10 or better.
2nd) into base of left tower, let it roll a bit to the right and activate. intended goal: destroy tower and get extra points by flying debris; in particular, apart from hitting stuff left over in the middle, you want it to destroy the pipes to the right (easy) and left (needs lots of luck) of the sling shot. don’t know yet what’s the best place to activate the bird for that.
155k-160k is quite repeatable with this and up to 165k is possible with it i think, but thus far have only gotten 161.5k after 114k after the 2nd (that time i did get both pipes).

you’re welcome @windwalker . great score! prompted by that tried it again, and found that nothing much changed. in particular, i still do not know where to activate the 2nd to get optimal damage (there’s easily 10k difference in score within a few pixels difference in activation; tough shot). fortunately, i could improve a bit twice, first to 162k and now to 163k, after a 117k 1st (but kennel remains full).

Congrats on the puppy @vuelva, glad you got the little extra needed. Like you I found the second shot difficult, I did as you suggested and found that if you activated as soon as it penetrated the first obstacle it threw to the right and took out what remained of the tower but you’re right it is a matter of a pixel or two.

I hear ya @JtB , and I swear I wasn’t stalking you, after all it’s been 2 years since you’ve been here 😂 I just got bored with Pig Days and decided to take a short flight and try to fill in some missing scores,,
agreed this is a tough one to make average even!
