Angry Birds Short Fuse Level 26-9 Walkthrough

One strategy for Angry Birds Short Fuse level 26-9 is to simply send the Blue bird towards the glass blocks on the right. Doing so will cut the rope holding the magic potion. The potions in Short Fuse imitate the Angry Bird with the matching color. In this case, the Blue Potion causes nearby pigs to triple, similar to the Blue Bird. The pigs that spawn should pop in this level. The score in the video below is 55,370.

I fired the blue bird up so that it came down past the two blue jewels on the left, got the pig and knocked over the potion towards the right then got very very lucky with the first yellow bird so that the structure didn’t kill the pigs before they could be tripled. I’ve tried and tried to replicate and only managed to get one of the right hand pigs tripled rather than both.

I’ve tried that method. I haven’t been able to master it. I think the roped pig has to die before the blue potion can be moved. Can you give a few more details of your shot?

Sorry @kpnanny, I wasn’t very clear in my comment, I agree with you 100% The challenge of getting s high score, sharing your strat, getting beaten, then having to respond is the genuine benefit of this site. The unwillingness of some to share a strat for fear their score will be beaten was what I was commenting on. Everyone is entitled to do this, but I truly admire someone who posts a unique strat more than i do their high score. High scores are great to get, but I never expect they won’t be beaten – as mine on this level already has been. Now the challenge is to see if I can go higher – after I deal with finishing the rest of the levels.

That was exactly the way, I did it. As there was still some debris left, my top score won’t last very long, I guess. I also tried to somehow get the two pigs out of the wooden structure into the “triplicating potion” by destroying the hanging pig prior to shooting YB into the wood, but annoyingly those pigs always vanished too soon. Maybe, someone else will be be more successful. Good luck, everybody!

Now that the excitement of my very first top score has settled, here is the strategy in more detail. I aimed low, just barely over the top of the pipe, splitting just barely before hitting the cord holding the pig. The pig multiplied and did his thing, then the entire right structure crashed and disintegrated. There was little to no debris.

This strategy is a more detailed version of @sapient-homo‘s strategy listed above. I don’t see his/her score listed anywhere, so I’m assuming it was removed for some reason. I have repeated this strategy successfully four times in three hours. Blue bird – high arc above blue crystals. Split right above top crystal. Hoped for result – Kill middle pig without breaking blue bottle. Knock blue bottle to right. Yellow bird – soft fling(NO SPEED BOOST)just missing top of pipe into vertical piece of wood and wood triangle at bottom of right structure. Desired result – SLOW, gentle slide/tilt of right structure. Structure should stay intact until it hits blue bottle and breaks it. Both pigs in right structure will triple, if you’re lucky. Good luck and happy flinging!

Using @betlib‘s great strategy, here’s an easy way to pick up 1-3k points. DO trigger Chuck, but do it a split second before he hits the dangling rope. This still allows the right structure to slowly collapse and triple the piggies, but this last-second speed boost gives Chuck just enough power to punch through the triangular wooden block and damage the pipe under it. I think in rare cases, the pipe could be broken by this impact for even more points.

@bonneypattycat: another level worth revisiting ;-)

In fact, the dynamic has completely changed from the first version.
Now a single blue bird is dislodging the pipe and the wood planks are easy to move/break.

I took me a couple of hours to figure that out (I know, I can be a slow learner). Totally unable to repeat the previous strategies not even once, I lashed out the blue straight ahead, splitting early to get the crystal and … everything was falling down for a good (at the time) 65k.

Refining the trajectory I was able to get a large bunch of 67k+ within minutes.

So you can aim the middle bird at the top of the small vertical wood plank, like this, for up to 69k scores.
Or you can aim a little higher to try to break the horizontal wood plank (not infrequent) for better damages.

Here is the final result for my best score.

And the highscore screenshot.

However I can’t think of a way to achieve @uskaya 73k top score.
Maybe a little explanation?

Hope it helps.
