Angry Birds Short Fuse Level 26-8 Walkthrough

One strategy for Angry Birds Short Fuse level 26-8 is to send the Black bird between the two top pigs, and trigger before impact. The shockwave should push clear both pigs, and send debris on the pigs below. Then fling Matilda, if necessary, towards any remaining pig. The score in the video below is 109,250.

Wow! Top score! Like that will last more than 20 minutes today. I’ve taken a screen shot anyway.
Two birds didn’t clear enough debris; sent the third bird between the two top right birds to blow away all their stone supports.

Hiya .Ive just downloaded this ,so still early days
with this 1 i found if you throw first Bomb so it just skimms white tube on bottom of first structure ,and detonate just after impact with vertical blocks ,which should take out everything on that slope for between 50 to maybe 60k, i just clean up slope with second shot even though there is not much there, as its hard to beat that bomb bird shot for the top .:)u should get into 120,s repeatable ..Good Luck ..:)

I only got 42k after the first bomb bird, but Matilda cleaned up for 62k. As you’ve said yourself you can’t beat that second bomb bird for cleaning up!

My therapist is now insisting I substitute the word ( ANGRY ) with ( FART )ie FreindlyAndReallyTenacious .
Saying it out loud does appear to help with faster resumption of healthy mood for game readiness :)

I normally use 3 birds to finish this level.
But sometimes the 10000 bonus of the 4th bird is not added to the total score.
My highscore should be 126xxx + 10000 , but this bug ruin it.

I’ve figured when this bug will occur.
2nd bird killed all pig ,
3rd bird sent out , after it exploded , the screen do not pan back to the slingshot , it switch to result screen directly , 10000 bonus of 4th bird is left behind .

@tare-wa, same thing happened to me yesterday. It was late last night and I was feeling a bit rummy, so I chalked it up to that and my bleary eyes. Now I am more certain I lost out on 10k.

One birders occasionally happen but scores not very high. Here’s a video which is a variation on the official one and scores 121k. More points are gained by using the WB as per the video.

There’s nothing more frustrating than coming back to better your scores until you get a good one!

I shot the first bird just under the white pipes and detonated on impact with the vertical steel/concrete block. This shot took out the whole hillside. Since the only thing left was the front bottom podium. I bombed it so that Stella’s ricochet hit the underside pipe as well. I had an amazing 65k from those two birdies. The last shot was in between the top structures. Everything exploded and expanded beautifully causing most of the test of the pipes to break.

I have been using 3 birds with some tweaks…

The first bird is just as everybody described. This is the trajectory: http://oi61.tinypic.com/30b20ea.jpg

The second bird is mainly used to destroy the lower part of the pipe hanging below the left structure.

At this point you can have around 65k.

Then comes the third bird. It is send to break the top part of the same pipe that was damaged with the second bird.
Sending it closer to the left structure has also the effect of sending the structure farther to the left and, hopfully, onto the pipe on the floor.

Thanks indeed @asher for the very good high score strategy that I manage to replicate for a new high score of 138440

No particular trick here. The third bird must land on the white pipe of the floating middle structure and you should activate it straight after impact. Ideally, the structure should fly enough left as to destroy most of the brown pipes on the left.

I think 140k is feasible as I managed to get once 69k after the second bird but had a poor fall out with the third bird. In the case of my high score i got only 67k after my second bird.

139040 with 3 birds.
That was on PC, this is 18 months later on Android.

Very same strategy, and a slightly better result :-)

This is the final result.
I guess 140k+ would have been achieved if that **** pipe had not been so stubbornly hanging by its finger nails.

Using Asher’s strategy or any of them where the first shot needs to hit the stone block to the right of the Einstein pig, you can pick up a few extra points by letting the bird clip the pipe elbow. SWbird will continue on and crash into the stone normally. This frees up Matilda on shot #2 to go after any debris clusters on the ground.

For todays challenge I was using the strat as per @asher and was getting great results. I went from 127k to 134k and now 139860. Maybe it will start another puppy parade. Good luck everyone. Difficult to say how much more points to gain on this level but I would say 143k might be possible

I made a video. Not a very high score 132k/3 but it gives you an idea of what needs to be done and where to aim.

As always some luck is involved for a higher score.

I did get 136k/3 earlier and I was trying to replicate it for the video but no luck so far.

140170/3 for 4th place. A different approach. First bird high lob aimed to break the top end of the pipe that runs below the leftmost floating island. Bird then continues down to more or less the same position as usual with the flatter trajectory. Manually detonate before it hits the ground. 60k+ possible as normal. Matilda to then take out lower end of the same pipe. It may continue to dangle but not a problem. Second bomb bird now has more freedom than @asher approach because no longer constrained to take out the pipe. This allows it to throw debris further left to guarantee destroying all of the brown pipe on the ground. And the dangling pipe will be blown to the ground. Maybe top score is possible with extremely luck using this approach.
