The best strategy for Mooncake Festival level 1-11 is to loft the first Blue bird into the left side of the right tower. The TNT will trigger and pepper the left tower with stones, and all pigs from the right tower should pop. Fire the next two Blue bird head-on into the left tower to clear all pigs. The score in the video below is 115,660.

got 115770 using the same method, lucked out with the far pig falling before i used my last bird. this method works!
117350 shot the second bird up high and got the last piggies with him.
any more advice here would great, I am consistently clearing this level as per the video, but haven’t come up with more than 114,440. Mostly around 110,000. Help me.
i have completed this level dozens of times, once even with only two birds. It’s impossible. Anybody else playing this on an iPad and having the same results?
I play on iPad and have 3-starred this level. It is indeed possible.
I’m on an iPad as well and got 117-something. My only variant from the video is shooting the second bird on a high arc and coming down on the last birds in the near structure. Made it so I had a bird left over. Also make sure you aren’t getting debris or birds in front of the small rocks before the TNT blows up, otherwise they will block a lot of the force. First shot should be high and only hit the right structure when you split it. Hope that helps.
Got 125,290 on 1 shot. I arched and hit the right column (on the left side bottom with the 4 glass blocks. The shot took out the whole left column and the debris dropped onto the TNT and it was the tnt balls that made the whole left structure fall. There was a delay on the right structure falling. It was the 1 in 100 shot, but it paid off. Took many tries. Good Luck!!!
little diff technique. First bird hitting the left tower as shown. Second bird to base of right tower with it’s fall the TNT clears out the last pig on left. It also takes patience but it’s good for three stars. 117K
I finally managed it by getting rid of the left tower first :-D. Then getting the right tower and the tnt and then with the last bird the stubbourn little swine in the helmet! I got 116610 and my final 3 stars for all the Seasons :-D. Just my end of level pie to do now!
121,640 1 bird. Shot and split the bird so 1 went through the wires and hit the dynamite direct, that blast sent the stones into the first column and luckily took it out, most of it, and killed four pigs. The other two birds hit the glass even with the bottom pigs in the second column and all fell down. Someone above posted 125k, more might be possible, but tough!
I hate this level. Let me repeat that, I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE this level. I have probably spent more time on this level than any other. I have only gotten 3 stars ONCE! I have cleared this level 3 times with 2 birds and NOT gotten 3 stars. I even cleared it once with 1 bird and only got 100K. I have tried all the different methods listed above but to no avail. (and no, I didn’t try them only 1 time. I did each method for hours, yes hours.)
btw, did I mention that I HATE this level!
The Mighty Eagle is killing me on 1-11. I have reached 99% many times…but never reach total destruction, even if it looks as if it is complete.

Took awhile but the method worked. I was doing it this same way but would always get 113,000 but finally got enough to fall and got 117,040.
15800 just like video, but I got lucky and only needed 2 birds. The first bird took out the pig on the far right.:) gl all.
Got 3 stars with 115,460. Aim the first bird straight to the side, then blast it to send 3 birds directly into the left tower to clear parts of it away (thus less junk to fall on top of the helmet pig). Then, the real trick: shoot the 2nd bird at about a 45 degree angle, then blast it just as it passes by the left tower … so at least one of the exploded birds hits the top of the left tower. It’s enough if only one exploded bird hits the right tower: it will still cave in on top of the valley and explode the dynamite. Then, the third bird is exploded and used to clear up what’s left of the left tower.
OK,I think the game took pity on my. I just got 128,470 using 2 birds.
First bird, lower arch than the vid, just clearing the first tower and splitting when just above the right red balloon. Took out almost all the right tower, and the tnt detonation caused almost all of the left tower to collapse. Only thing left was some glass/ice (whatever it is) and 1 bird.
Second bird, basically flat and split to take out rest of left side and piggy.
Third bird, 10k bonus
I think that was only about my 4th or 5th 3 star completion. I’m not sure how many times I have played this level (way too many) but even though I got a pretty good score, I still HATE this level more than any other.
@sparty83 I feel your pain, I used your method, and improved, but had to use all three birds. Nice score BTW!!! :)

Cheer up @sparty83! You still have a great high score from early on. and some people have even gotten 1 birders with your great strategy. I’m stuck at 123k where I’ve been since this one was released. I can’t even get close to that on this challenge. My highest since last night has been 117k. aaahhhhh. I still like this Moon Festival level of ABS. (Rovio changed the name from Mooncake Festival at some point).
@sparty83 you are a genius. When I saw I was below average on this level I wanted to run away crying, but your strategy saved me.
The low shot just clearing the 1st tower made taking out the right tower easy, it collapsed almost every time. One of the blues goes right through to the small square atop the hollow square in the middle, causing it to fall, taking out the pesky far right pig. I got a lucky detonation of the TNT to take out most of the left tower including the helmet pig on the left – if debris doesn’t take him out with your 1st shot there’s very little chance of clearing this with 2 birds. I had only 1 pig left after my 1st shot as well.
Don’t think I’m ever coming back here either, even if it pops up as the Challenge.

ty @sparty83 top strat. I have found that if you pull the catapult back to its furthest point and nestle it into the second curve in the small pagoda it will just clear the first tower, release, as you say, just above red second round lantern and hope it fractures the blue block holding the far pig. Then keep your fingers crossed that there is enough power in the tnt explosion to collapse the left tower

I finally got the 3 stars and with all 3 birds.I threw 1st one to the back and killed all the pigs over there and the one close to the tnt.2nd one hit the ice blocks in the front which cause the blue birds to stop and kill some pigs.3rd one finished off the rest.I got 115,590.
This level is a pain. I’ve completed it multiple times (sometimes with two birds) and the most points I’ve gotten so far has been 113,910.
There is a glass block to the right of the pig on the far right that keeps the pig from rolling off the edge as shown in the video. Makes it a whole lot harder cause that pig is hard to hit.
This level is impossibly frustrating. I’ve been trying for days to improve on my current score (117,390) to get at least the average score for this level (118,713) and I’m not even coming close. The left pig with the helmet takes a direct hit from a bird to destroy it: falling debris won’t even blacken the eyes. After 2 birds I’m usually left with the helmeted pig and the right most pig; too much for 1 bird.

Thanks. I’ve been using a strategy very similar to that with vastly different results. The pig on the far right has that block that keeps it from rolling off the edge and the left pig with the helmet won’t get destroyed by debris, it takes a direct hit from a bird.
This level has gone from frustrating to infuriating. I just might have to settle for my score that is close to the average.
I found a solution to the right most pig. Shoot the first bird at a low angle over the left structure so that is skims the top and hits the right structure in the 4th ice block up on the left-hand side of the right structure (the block right next to the pig). Don’t expand the bird. It has to hit that one block only. As the structure falls, the third block on the left forces the pig to the right, knocking down the right-hand portion of the structure and that problematic pig is destroyed.
The portion of the structure that falls to the left, causes the TNT to explode and you get significant damage to the left structure.
I still have to figure out how to take out that seemingly indestructible pig with the helmet, but I’m getting better scores using this method.
I agree with @ohforfive re not splitting the 1st blue bird.
If you are having endless difficulty (like me), in getting the stinker (aka stubborn pig) on the right of the far tower, then try not splitting the 1st blue bird. I discovered that I have much better success eliminating this particular pig by just letting bb sail right through to smash the glass block in front of the bottom left pig in the right tower. It wasn’t until I learned this that I managed to barely beat the average. Other than that, you still use the same method as @sparty83 and @e-star’s YouTube clip which @sal9 has kindly linked for us.
My other problem pig is the dreaded helmeted stinker. For me, that one’s just luck with the TNT taking it out. If the TNT doesn’t get him, it’s difficult to eliminate him with the leftover birds.
Good luck everyone, I’m thinking I’ll have to take my 119,120 and run.
Update:
OK, I didn’t run with that but stubbornly kept trying on and off over 2 days. I finally improved to 123,070 and strangely enough after firing the 1st bb as mentioned above; the right side stinker once again was still sitting there smirking at me. I didn’t reset as usual because for the first time the TNT caused a massive amount of destruction (i.e. flattening the left tower) but not surprisingly still leaving stinker no. 2 (helmeted pig). I fired 2nd bb at the helmet pig and 3rd bb at the other stinker. It took the smirk right off his face and put a huge smile on mine. This time, I am taking that score and running.

In the video, the last pig on the right falls down slowly but surely, which is great but for some reason on my Iphone version of the game, there is a little block on the right side of that pig that won’t allow it to fall! So every time, unless the entire structure falls, the one annoying pig is left! Am i losing my mind? This level is frustrating me to no end!!!
Apparently that block is relatively new since your post and mine on the 9th are the only one’s that mention it. I do have a solution for that pig. It’s in my post above this one.
The pig I’m still trying to figure out is the left one with the helmet. If you have a method for the destruction of that left structure with 1 bird, I’d be very interested to hear it since I haveen’t been able to.
I FINALLY finished this but i couldn’t tell you how i did it. I tried the method in the video about 500 times (or at least it seemed like it) and finally i beat it. If i remember correctly though, the TNT shot the rocks out and killed the helmet pig that u are having trouble with. Sorry i can’t be more of a help to you! Just keep going, youll get it!
Hooray! After about 8000 tries I finally three-starred this level. I am NEVER going to revisit it. Thanks to ABN and everyone who weighed in with tips and encouragement. 115760.
131,080 THANK YOU SPARTY83!!! Until I tried you’re method, I had 117,580 (After 2 days I finally got 3 stars and I did it with a lucky 1 bird shot. But even then not enough destruction to get me much past 3 star minimum.) You’re method gave me 121,080 on two tries!!! If you’re struggling with this level) and who doesn’t) TRY SPARTY83’s METHOD.
Typo – correct score is 121,080 Though I may revisit this level and try for a better score, now that I know how to beat it.

The chance of 3-starring this level is around 1/683. I once almost had it, but I only just missed the last pig… D:
And of course, now I have it. One-birder! My tactic is,
Shoot it directly over the 1st tower, and just before the bird passes it, you have to split it. If you did right, 2 birds stay in the 1st tower and the 3rd (upper) bird goes for the second tower. That bird makes the pig most to the left in the second tower push the other block on the right away, destroying the whole tower and killing all the piggies. If the first 2 birds did their job well, and the TNT blows away the stones, you can kill all of the pigs in the left tower.
Scored me 129.220!!!
This does not work anymore. They have added a block to the far right pig’s platform. So, he won’t roll off anymore.

Sigh … helmet pig refuses to die!
Finally!!! 3 days, 3 hrs a night. I also am on an iPhone and have that block on the right side if the far pig. So to finally beat this, this is what I did. Launched the 1st bird just over the first tower. Separating the birds so one of them knocks the top of the gist tower. The 2nd bird broke the ropes and took out the pig in the center. This I feel is the trick. The pig in the center blocks the blast of rocks from hitting the dam helmet pig. The last of the three hit the last tower causing it to fall on the TNT. The blast took out the helmet pig and knocked out the left tower taking out all the pigs on that side. 2nd bird takes out the line bird on the right side. Score 116,680

I couldn’t do it your way because on my edition (xperia ray) there is an extra square brick on the right side of the far right pig, holding it from falling on its own.
I launced the first bird just over the first tower. separated the birds so that two of them hit the last tower and one on the tnt.
With the other two birds I cleaned what was left from the first tower.
Did 118650 after a billion tries.
Then I dropped the phone down the toilet….

I’ve tried and tried to do the exact same thing, I end up destroying more than you, and still “only two stars”…. then I carefully watched your video, and noticed that your game is missing a “brick” from the house to the right. That little “annoying” brick that keeps the furthest right pig from falling off! My app, has a brick next to this pig!!! No wonder!!! How come your game is missing this brick???
Karen I checked and indeed there is an extra brick in the level now. The video on top is one made in september 2011, so the brick must have been added by Rovio in one of the updates afterwards. That is why it is missing in the video. I haven’t revisited this level as of since either and therefor have no video to offer with the brick. But if I do return to this level, I will sure post a video of it in here.
Hi Karen. Other users have reported this above, but we think the video strategy is still valid. The only tweak would be to toss the third Blue bird a bit higher and split very early.

@Zebung — Thanks for the report. Do you have any more details? Which way does it fall? What is your best guess at what you mean by quite often, !/10 or more like 1/50? How many points do you get? Have only tried a few times; seems to sometimes lean to left, sometimes right.

maybe 1 in 25, just a guess. i spent an eon on this level! i think there. are good strata already mentioned, i was just happy to get over average.

On the iPhone 4, the right tower has a small ice block beside the right-most pig! Therefore, I can’t get that gradual roll off the side like the video… Any other apps have this “extra” nuisance ice block?
