Angry Birds Seasons Back to School Level 1-8 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Seasons Back to School level 1-8 is to fling the first bomb bird straight ahead into the vertical left stone beam. This should take out most of the left hand side. Now aim the next bomb bird at the TNT. With a bit of luck you’ll finish things off here. The score in the video is 106,250.

Thanks @cali_mom ! Using your method I got 115580. My first black bird actually broke that piece of wood above second pig and went all the way down. After explosion nothing was left but the far right pig which I finished with second bird and with great level of destruction got my present score. With one birdie I think scores in 120’s are possible.

@cali_mom: I used the same strat as you did but took me forever to get one bird. The pig on the far right wouldn’t fall, but I was determined to do it with one bird so I kept trying. I had 117,560 with two birds and I now have the top score with my one birdie. :) Doubt it lasts long, but I shall enjoy it while I can.

Wow, that first shot is tough! Talk about “threading the needle”! It’s very easy to clip the corner of the roof, or hit the stone triangle, but going through the plank above the second pig is tricky. That said, it seems to me that it is vital for the bird to go through the plank and settle at the bottom. If it doesn’t, the TNT is not likely to explode and, if it does, the destruction won’t be great. I also noticed that destruction is highly variable from shot to shot (so keep trying if you don’t have a score you are happy with).

I never finished with one bird, but it seems likely that a second shot may be necessary for points (unless you are really, really lucky). I found that the most effective second shot was toward the back of the structure, ideally right against the wall (the further pig is above, to the right). I noticed with this shot I not only got the last pig (sometimes two), but the right-most structure would fall off the edge with this shot. In addition, this shot helps get some of the debris left below where the bird settled (stone planks).

I was able to get several scores of 116K and 117K, and finally got 120,580 when I decided to move on. I played around with this level for quite a while, I admit, because I really liked the explosion/destruction when the first bird landed perfectly. (I probably need therapy! No, just having one of those days. . .)

Thanks @cali_mom for posting your strategy. Worked great. Used an aiming tip of just having a little bit of the bomb birds black head feather sticking out from behind the sling. It provided a more consistent way to get the bomb bird above the second pig. Also noticed that if activated bomb prior to coming to rest after breaking the plank it activated the tnt more often but not always.

I think @cali_mom‘s strategy is the best one here, and it gave my my current best score of 114k. But I also got 112k an easier way. Lob the black bird onto the central roof so that it hits the upper end of the exposed slanted wooden piece – basically where it hits in the video’s second shot, just from a higher angle. It will then fall through and pop both pigs while landing very near to the TNT, and the explosion should take out all but the front pig. The second shot will then be obvious – just fire straight into the front structure.

Wow!..Nice strat @cali_mom and kudos to all of you who got the perfect one-birdie shot with some great scores! I had so much trouble getting the one birdie and when it actually worked, I only got 111920;-( I ended up getting my highest score of 113410 having to use a second bird to the right two piglets that didn’t meet their demise from the first shot. That’s a very tough shot!

I had been working on this one for about an hour to get my BTS above average. I kept going for the little stone triangle above the third pig. Then cleaning up with the 2nd bird. I had my aim down pretty well when I beefed it and came up a little short. Low and behold, I hit the sweet spot @cali_mom referred to and nailed an Ace for this one. It was almost like a spontaneous sort of reaction. As soon as Bomb settled and went off on his own, the TnT was triggered a split second later. I am happy and moving on. What a fun game!
Oh! If you are wanting to know my aiming vector. I was fully zoomed out and pulling Bomb a hair over a sling strap away from the base of the sling. This may have to be adjusted, given the various platform differentials.

When I find a reasonably consistent method for producing high scores on a level, I often will post a “Details for Nook Color” posting. The details are usually on the order of “zoom all of the way in, then pull the bird down until” With a description of some part of the bird or sling lining up with a landmark in the background. These strategies rely on the fact that when you line the bird up exactly, then repeatable results occur.

This is the first level I’ve run into where launching the bomb bird from the EXACT same position each time produces such varied results. I’ll come back to this one later to try and get the one bird solution.

Whoo Hoo! Just got a big improvement with the help of my BFF’s ;-) Went from 113K something which was #302, now 120150 and moved up to #51 here, hahah:-)
