Devastator – Accessories?
zoom out and look at the lamp at the back. it contains a fruit.
101570 with just one bird. Hit the metal block holding the first two birds on the chain and then just wait.
I tried 100+ times on the 1 bird hit the metal block with no success.
I then tried hitting the chain on the left between the 2 birds so it would hit the bottom wood piece. Use 2nd bird to take out bottom pieces again- that yielded 96,000 after being stuck on 91k for about 2 weeks.
It sounds crazy, but notice the little breeze in this level. Hit the metal block with the wind in your back and the tower will fall. It’s al in the details.
that’s what I said in a comment below ;-)
Well after probably 30 minutes of trying, I got the 1 bird method on the metal beam to work 102,320
Tried gazzilion times to at least get 90000+ & always get 88000+ but lady luck finally came & I was able to hit hard enough with just one bird to the exact same spot as this video & scored 101680!!! Yaaaaay!!!
Notice that the stack is swaying. Hit it when the timing is just right… when it is swaying to the right.
95570. Waiting for the wind is the key ty:)
as this comment thingy is in front of me, I got the trick to do the one bird shot all the time… shoot the red bird at the brick wall, releasing it at the exact moment the structure reaches its dead point to the right (it is swaying slightly!)
100580 my current highscore. But when you get the hang of the timing, it’s easy as can be! just throw when the sway is to the far right and it should hit when it’s on the far left just having stopped and ready to sway back.
At a certain point I managed to do 5 one bird finishes in a row!
When you say “aim at the brick wall” (on level 2-1) where exactly are you referring to? Is there a specific spot on the main tower where you are aiming?
Sorry, I wasn’t really making myself clear. Just do exactly like in the walkthrough above, only make sure you get the timing of the throwing exactly (!!) right.
thanks for the tip angry_jelle it definitely makes this shot much more reliable
Good Call @angry_jelle ~ Thanks.
video of a one bird 100k+
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kewyk8TAxXo
Can’t get vidhYeo to play, maybe you could write it out? Can’t get past 88 ish ty for help
Thats exactly the way to do it, not more, not less.
Great @angry_jelle Sensei. I made very quick 101 and 104. It look so it’s fast start shooting, because max wave of tower is at begining. Next time I’ll try to beat this score.
If something goes wrong – 2 x hit metal plank works too for 2B.
After hitting the same metal stick over and over finally one bird!
You got me beat.. lol now I’m gonna have to come back..thanx a lot lmao.jusst kidding wtg!!:)
Just got 99510, as everyone says justs keep tryin to hit the metal rod, just do it as it is just starting to sway away from you, otherwise pure luck.
Here is my PAT. There are two factors needed to make this 1-birder happen; aim and timing. I was fully zoomed in.
You want to use the sling seat and it’s position with the background to aim. The background has some rays of light on the walls. Line the top left corner of the sling seat up with the top of the biggest ray of light. You might have to adjust this depending on platform differences.
Now that we have our aim point, let’s work in the timing. When the level begins, the lamps start swinging to the right. The structure moves to the left. They don’t move in the same direction until the lamps complete their sway pattern. When the lamps start going to the right the second time, the structure goes to the right also. This is your release point.
The bird should hit the stone plank at an angle to where it bumps the structure a little up and a little right. This brings the whole atructure down and should take out all cages.
CORRECTION: The firing point is related to the structure’s movement. When the structure moves to the left, release bird. You will catch the stone plank as it is moving towards the bird. This causes an abrupt momentum change causing the structure to jump and come off the base. Sorry, everyone. :(
Thank you, @rdnzlrips82. I managed to get over 100k, but could not figure out how I did it. Just got 101800 after reading this:). Have you noticed that sometimes the red bird will hit the stone bar, fall through the cage with the yellow bird, roll onto the life preservers and bounce back up onto the stone bar? He hitched a ride down the left side :). Thanks again for this PAT. Now to see if I can squeeze a few more points out of this one!
I did have to adjust the seat of the sling on my netbook. The seat was just touching the bottom of the large light beam when I released it.
I have been focusing on aim so far with tailfeathers on the beams of light, hadn’t thought of using the sling. Now to watch the timing!
well, however it happened, I got an extra 1k :). Now, off to try the new and improved PAT!
like @rdnzlrips82 tip
here my video with 109k:
https://youtu.be/GB4K-oWOsEs
Got the one bird solution just like the first shot in the ABN video for this level. Thanks @rdnzlrips82 for the tips. Was able to destroy the two boxes, wood and cardboard, inside the structure with falling debris for extra points.
The best thing to do is work in your aim point a couple of times. Once you have it down, you want to release bird as soon as the structure comes back left the first time. The structure is most unstable at that point. The longer you wait, the less likely the structure will tip.
Also, you know you’ve hit the stone plank correctly when the bird drops straight down. If it bounces back to the left, you won’t get the tip.
Yes this work best for me too… I had improved to 99510 earlier and then at lunch tried your first PAT and was getting no where…now I see why, lol…went back to my old way of hitting plank as it comes towards you works much better. improved to 101330. Thanks for clearing that up 2rdnzlrips82 and for the new tips…and GREAT score ;-)
Hitting the cement slab dead-on doesn’t guarantee a 1-Birder but I’ve already had 2 nonetheless. The initial score upon hitting the cement slab has to be over 13k for the 1-Birder to register higher points, and the collapse of the base of the tower is what really racks up the score. That must be what the high scorers have come across, which would more than likely constitute a lucky fluke.
Now I’m getting 1-Birders left and right, but none of them higher than the score I got an hour ago.
Okay Rovio, what gives? playing tricks on me again? maybe you need Thor to send a big thunderbolt up your A..!!!
Enough already! Let me get a decent score now.
That was really funny of you, giving me the exact same score I already have. What’s next? You going to freeze my Birds too?
That’s a little better, but I’m not yet satisfied so do your thing Rovio.
The scores in the top 110 range are not possible with one bird without near total destruction. I highly doubt they were achieved without the use of powerups. Just my opinion of course but I play on two different devices and I cannot achieve nearly close to that without them. In fact my top score with them is 113k and change. Lucky break to have the stone plank bounce back and take out part of the center platform or I would still be sitting around 105k. Used @rdnlzips82 pointer for timing of the sway to help. The tower does sway more or less every reset so if it is not moving as much reset wash rinse repeat.
Forgot the r in @rdnzlrips82
Let me add to @rdnzlrips82 strat. It is best to hit the horizontal plank on the first trip back from the right JUST. As it transitions from right to left sway. I have found though that the KEY to getting a one bird is if you do all the above AND you pop the cardboard box sitting on the plank when you hit it end on. That is what gives the extra oomph to shift all the way over.
@swelld, hello fellow player, I sincerely wish that the separate Leaderboards for Power-up scores on any of the AB games were set-up once and for all. I play on a PC and thankfully I don’t have to worry about PU’s since they don’t exist for us.
I’m a staunch supporter of the reset and repeat crowd, but when playing on a PC with a mouse it’s sometimes next to impossible to place the mouse pointer, take aim and fire fast enough to use the strats in some of the games.
Happy Hunting!
It seems counterintuitive, but the only way I could get this collapse is when the tower is at it’s *LEFTmost* part of the sway, and if I hit the plank, t falls every time. I tried it many times while swaying right, or at the rightmost part and it just didn’t work.
I just scored 112,070 points by sort of following the @comex666 video & some of the advice posted in the past.
I say “sort of” because I couldn’t quite get the timing down for the “sway” of the tower.
Instead, I found a decent release point and just kept releasing & resetting the red bird until it finally worked.
The amount of destruction was amazing, and I got a screenshot of the destruction & leftover debris;

Good luck & happy flinging to all !!!
one bird to horizontal stone plank, should push tower & collapse!!
Got the Golden Pinespple easier!
