Angry Birds Rio Smugglers Den Star Bonus Walkthrough Level 3

This is our walkthrough video for Angry Birds Rio Smugglers Den Star Bonus Level #3. The level is unlocked by earning 70 stars in Smugglers Den. Use the White bird to bomb the small bridge in the middle of the structure. Clearing the right half of the level is key. Next, toss the Yellow bird nearly straight up, pelican-diving on the large cage in the middle of the remaining structure. The score in the video below is 91,090.

A 1-Birder is possible on this one. The White bird exactly as above, and then an incredibly lucky fall that took out everything for 107970. Haven’t tried to repeat it yet.

I also got a 1 bird using the vid strategy. I dropped the white bird into the gap and dropped the egg at the last moment. Worked twice for me, though I haven’t matched your score. Yet!

Yep, worked relatively well!! Just cleared the tower, detonated last second and wb ricocheted high off left tower into the midst of the main structure. Great fallout and it helped the TNT detonated later as a second wave of debris hit the rubble. Thanks for the tip ;)

I also got a 1 bird solution by using the first bird like the ABN video. Lined up the right side head feather with the slings band. Just cover the head feather slightly. Released the egg at the last second.

Thanks @comex666 for the video. Your posted score of 90290 does not match your video score of 101k.

You just need the right side of the first side by side horizontal wood pieces to break from the egg, drop it a little sooner and break that piece, then hope all goes well

Like in vid,

but dropped egg pretty much to the left side of that U-shaped area. Bird made hardly damage, but her egg did a great job! Eveything collapsed, one birder!

I agree @emider re dropping the egg to the left. You have to just barely clear that top triangle piece and still drop the egg at the last split second. The TNT did explode for me although my score isn’t exactly spectacular it’ll do for now. I want to move on i.e. finish RIO, play Space, finish Star Wars and buy the new Star Wars. So much to do, so little time. Rovio keeps making these games faster than I can play them. Being a Score Addict is such a hard life lol.

The whine affect prevails again. 96K on my next shot which was also an ace. I like to think that it took skill on the first ace to limit my damage to only ** level!

Oddly enough my three highest scores have been one birdies when the tnt box DOESN’T explode…frustrating to say the least. I’ve got the one birdie with the tnt exploding but the scores have been lower on every occassion.

I got the 1 bird kill dropping the egg in the gap as well after about 150 attempts and the TNT didn’t go off on this final shot scoring 105620, just as well since that TNT was more like a baby firecracker. Ciao.

I don´t know how I achieved it, all I remember is that I fired a bird and everything was destroyed.

Hi @amslimfordy and @frankieman – I think I have solved the question of this high score. While playing on the Train yesterday – yes us true addicts have teh game on more than one device – I was disturbed for a second and my left thumb slipped. After releasing my first bird I was surprised to see four new TNTs….. perfect shot – everything gone – 154.860 Points. These mistakes happen. I would never enter teh score (am happy with the one I got). I think this yours should be removed. Sorry!

Hi nice_psycho, I achieved this score app two years ago and I do not remember exactly how, but what I do remember is that I shot one bird and then everything (almost) was cleared. I will leave it up to @amslimfordy to decide whether to erase it or not.

@frankieman I think with such a large gap, it’s probably that you used a Power Up accidentally. I appreciate you being so open about the situation, but it might be best to roll back your score to the previous best entry.
