Angry Birds Rio Smugglers Den Eagle Bonus Walkthrough Level 1

This is our walkthrough video for Angry Birds Rio Smugglers Den Eagle Bonus Level #1. The level is unlocked by earning 10 feathers in Smugglers Den. Toss the White bird over the first tower, bombing next to the second and ricocheting the bird over the top cages. The bird should loop around and kick out the remaining structure at the bottom of the level. Use one Yellow bird high and another low to break the remaining cages. The score in the video below is 82,280.

@AMslimfordy – think I may have asked this before, cant find my comment/post now though and I seem to have developed a 5 min memory span of later, lol ;)
You need 10 feathers per Rio episode (ie jungle escape) to open each of the 6 mighty eagle 3* bonus levels, I take it you have to buy the mighty eagles required in order to obtain said feathers?

This level(s) can be played without purchasing eagle for money?

If answer is NO, then why this levels appears on leaderboards? It isn’t fair for those too young for a credit card or for countries without achievement possibilities.

Correct.

The levels are widely available and thus are included on our Leaderboards, just like Danger Zone and Path of the Jedi. We put them in a separate episode to keep the other episodes universal.

Any chance to separate “money” levels from “free” levels as you said?
I noticed there is a lot of people with good scores without access at this levels.

Or somebody know a possibility to purchase these eagles without credit card? Or to play it elsewhere on other platform?

I don’t understand your question, sorry. These levels are already a bit separated on our Leaderboards, as we added them to their own episode.

There are 6 Levels (Eagle#1 to Eagle#6) and to play these levels is necessary to collect feathers.
Your answer to the question “I cannot work out how to collect the feathers in Angry Birds. For example on Angry Birds Poached Eggs there are 63 feathers. How do you get these feathers?” was “Feathers are earned (one per level) by achieving Total Destruction with the Mighty Eagle.”
I don’t know how this works on other platforms, but for Android this Mighty Eagle must be bought with a credit card. Or this option is limited in some countries or at some operators, or some young users for example.
I Think for this reasons the Rio Leaderboard is quite tainted [?]. It isn’t only my case, but for an example, I am now ranked 80 for Total scores in Rio with 23,9M points. If I can play this 6 levels at let’s say average score, I’ll be ranked around 20th. position. I’m not sure if I was clear, sorry for my bad English, and sorry for bothering you with this.

I understand, but these levels are very widely available. By similar logic, we should not have leaderboards for Danger Zone or Path of the Jedi either, but indeed we do since they are widely available — albeit for a price.

If this argument were being made by a PC/Mac user, I would be a bit more sympathetic, as the Mighty Eagle is simply not available for those platforms at all. But seeing as the Mighty Eagle is available for Android — for $0.99 USD just like for iOS — I maintain that the levels will certainly stay.

Here’s an alternative two bird strat.
First bird: Send WB in to the left structure, slightly lower than horizontal and drop egg just above and to the left of the front set of the two permanent boxes. Another reference point is if you look in the background, there is that light blue “window” that’s made up of 5 vertical blue pieces. I drop the egg just slightly below it. The WB will ricochet into the left structure and can clear it all. Scores vary here depending on whether you get everything including the tnt…but I’ve had scores as high as over 124K…more often it’s about 18K+ – 21K+. With my highest score of 88840 it was only 19K something so 93K+ – 95K scores are easily possible.
Second bird: Send YB up so that when you tap him, he cuts thru the little sand squares holding up the very top structure. This will take them out then he continues on and bumps off the stacked crooked right boxes and rolls into to cut through the two little pieces of wood on the bottom right. (basically the same idea as the WB does in the walkthrough). It’s a tricky shot but it worked best for me when YB hits somewhere near the bottom two boxes or so. If he hits too high up, the angle is off. If done right, the double bird cage goes right while the left side rolls on the stones and ultimately falls to the left to knock over the remaining middle structure holding the cage with the three birds in it. Here’s a screenshot of what it looked like after the second bird:

I know higher scores will be possible as there was plenty of debris points left. GL ;-)

The 2nd shot destoyed the right tower & pushed the middle tower to lean left but not fall.
3rd through that tower, plus some destuction of remaining wood left in the lower right.

Thanks @lesleyg for the strategy post and @comex666 for the video. The challenge was getting the right structure to push over the middle structure with the second yellow bird. Got lucky twice. Fun level to play.

I do white bird high arc between the first tower and lamp, releasing the egg so that the carcass bounce back in the top left cage (above the sand blocks). Second bird through the remaining sand blocks and hopefully down to the bottom at the right. Score 87.440 so far
