Our non-Power Up strategy for Playground Level #4 is to arc a Blue bird into the base of the top-right tower. The falling stones will render most of the main structure unstable. Finish off by flinging another Blue bird straight ahead. The score in the video below is 89,400.
Important Note: Gamers on mobile devices are given unlimited Power Ups in the Playground episode, to practice and hone their skills. However, since not all devices are given this option, please abide by our policy of NO Power Up scores on ABN Leaderboards. Questionable scores entered without written strategy will be removed.
Here are two screen shots for this game.

Hope it helps.:-)
I aimed my first bird at that boot but fired directly at the TNT. But it has to be at the VERY last minute, almost careening with the hillside before shooting. Got my 3star with one bird. Score 56,700.
Where is there a boot or TNT on this level?
@playdbird, as one of the top flingers, could you please share your strategy on how you got that awesome score? Just can’t see how 101k is even possible without using PUs!
@sweetp – sorry I did not respond to you earlier, but you first hit me up at miles to go (which I understand but it’s not my @ name. You then tried me @playbird, rather than @playdbird, which is the correct version.
Somehow, you’ve changed my name twice along the way I see – how are you doing that I wonder? Are posts editable now?
Oh, and see below for detailed description of the strat along with screen shot – please don’t beat my high score. I have only a few.
It’s a magic trick I have @playdbird! Sorry for the confusion. You have a lot more top scores than I do, that’s for sure. But no worries, I’m not that great a flinger anyways so your crown is not in jeopardy!
@sweetp I aimed high and splitted directly and got 98k with a lot left. I can’t supply a screenshot as I’m not able to play this on my PC yet.
Thanks @crivit for the tip. When you say “aimed high” did you mean the first or second Blue? I suppose you could reverse the shots and would basically get the same results.
@sweetp it’s a one bird shot so the furthest bird gets the ice under the stones while the others do the damage to the rest of the structure.
@playdbird nice flinging on this episode level 2 and 5 keep me wondering at this moment I know your scores are legit.
Thank you @crivit for sharing your strategy & PdB, @playdbird, for your pics. I’ve only managed 98430 on my Android phone, but I’ll be back later to try for that 6 digit score ; -)
Just like @crivit describes I used a one bird strat for 101K.
Aim blue high and split immediately.
The furthest flung blue takes out the high structure, which falls on that below.
The middle blue helps in the destruction of the middle structure.
The left blue drops on the leftmost chimp and his glass structure, yielding much in the way of points.
In the screen shot I provide, you can get a sense of how it goes down.
In the screenie I did not obtain a one bird score, and missed the left monkey, but I hope this gives you a sense as to how the strat works.

Another view of how this shot plays out.
If the left blue had just drifted a little to the right and fully destroyed the left structure I think 105K would have been possible.

Thank you for the alternate strat and screenshots @playdbird!
I find it works better for me to wait a little longer before I split the birds. Principle is the same far right bird takes out that tower, but the middle bird falls right of the leftmost monkey, breaking some of the ice in the left supporting leg. It makes the crates fall left and do lots of damage. I managed 103450 but there is probably at least another 2k worth of points
correction the left most bird takes out the ice tower below the crates
Thx for tips! My way w/o help yielded ~94K. I’m now up to 99+K – w incr in site. FUN stuff! Again, THX! ___ Rogue
Thanks to @crivit and @playdbird for strat and tips. I use the rock that the sling sits on as my guide. Position front edge of the sling seat over the LHS edge of the rock. Release fractionally before the bird passes the horizontal ice that has the diagonal wood leaning against it. The first ‘bullet’ should go through the 1st & 2nd glass horizontals behind the first monkey and collapse the high wooden boxes to the left, not sure what happens to the 2nd ‘bullet’ but the 3rd hits the glass verticals on the RHS rocks, they fall taking out the lower wooden horizontal which causes the stones above it to fall to the left. This is very repeatable
Last should read causes the rocks above it to fall to the right not the left
@playdbird That’s the strategy I used, thanks!
Thanks for the screenshots and the strategy @playdbird. Used the same strategy. Have to say the destruction sequence does take some luck in getting a better score. A lot of stones and glass remained.
I too “shot the moon” with the blue birds. It becomes fairly easy with just a bit of practice, then wait for good damage. I didn’t break the ice shelf the left monkey sits on, but still managed 101k.

Oops. “Glass shelf” for the picky :) I figure it is ice in wintery locales, otherwise it is glass.
@bonneypattycat thanks for the video it is extremely helpful.
@bonneypattycat thanks for the video! You helped improve my score! Are you still making video for Rio? How about Blossom River??? ;)
@sunshine I’m glad the video helped! Shortly after I started making videos, life got a little hectic and didn’t have much time for flinging, and when I did, didn’t have much time to setup for recording (I have to hook up the iPad to the laptop, then edit, then upload on slow DSL) I hope to get back to making videos soon for newer levels, but right now I am blitzing my way through old Seasons levels. If new levels are released for ABO, RIo, SW or maybe Seasons (e-star already does a great job with Seasons) I will for sure be recording.
Thanks for the video, helped increase 2,000 for the challenge. Almost blew it, had the second bird ready to go. Just want to thank all the flingers who share their videos.
@bonneypattycat
thx for the great video.
also the same strat. used the others.
high arc and split after 1,5 sec. (see the the picture)
i activate the bird a little bit later than @bonneypattycat
here the trajectory

thanks and good luck all
i am ever so slowly climbing up toward that lofty score there @comex666!
@xplodedsynapses
You can make it………
More is possible, good luck.
My Last Play, i have 72k with one Bird and one ape sit on a Little Stone, ohhhhh no.
Oh those marmosets are devious!
i am scratching and clawing for more!! Like a good birdie should!
@comex666
i keep forgetting to include who i am replying to when i answer… sigh
Congrats @comex666 on the puppy and another top score. I was also using @bonneypattycat ‘s video as a guide (thank you!) but using background rather than timing to split the bird. Just couldn’t squeeze out the extra points though. I think my trajectory was the same as yours, but impossible to compare directly with your pic. On my version, fully zoomed out has a much smaller panorama than yours. There is no green grassy slope on the right side and the left also shows less detail. Academic, and I don’t think it changes gameplay, but interesting how versions differ. Congrats again on your brilliant score :))
1st blue bird, gentle arc, splitting before structures. Collapses the left and middle wood. 2nd blue bird high arc to far right, taking out glass supporting rock, Will tumble left, and get everything!! 97k
Sorry, I could not find any screenshots for this level but I obviously used the strategy shown in the @bonneypattycat video, high arc and splitting early. The score dates from Oct 2016 as outlined in the leaderboard table.
