Angry Birds Rio High Dive Walkthrough Level #18

Our strategy for High Dive Level #18 is to fling the Pink bird into the right pontoon, allowing debris to hit the trigger beyond. The falling TNT can capsize the remaining boats below. The score in the video below is 125,250.

It appears as if planting Pink on the last barge to tip it right will start the fun. Falling debris from last barge sets of TNT falling from top. Then it is just luck for 1 bird.

Not sure exactly how, but the TNT can be released without flinging a bird. This happened twice in a row. The first time Bubbles was already in the air. The next restart, the same thing happened, but the left raft wasn’t destroyed, so couldn’t finish with 1 bird. And wouldn’t you know, I forgot to check the score!

20th restart detonator vanished, not sure exploded, and TNT released; 77680. Happened very quickly. Did not increase my score, but could be my fault. Birds on right platform remained. Hasn’t happened again for next 20 restarts.
Did get screen freeze with lots of stuff disappearing, followed by game exit.

I went for as flat a trajectory as possible, just clipping the high cage on the middle barge and then tipping the last barge as mentioned by @mikeinmont.

I agree with the flatter trajectory, thanks @pauliboy for the tip. Found that I zoomed in and lined up the head feather with one of the sling’s band with the smallest space or just barely touching it the pink bird lands in the space above the sandbag and rolls to the right to the square solid stone on a more consistent bases. After that it appears to be a matter of luck with the destruction sequence to obtain a one bird solution. Fun level to play!

A flat curve is indeed the best way to go. The best results come when the bird flies trough the little ring on top of the birdcage on the middle raft. It then takes out the left birdcage on the last raft and should roll further to the right, bumping the block. I leave the bird alone so it bubbles by itself and then it is just waiting for a one-birder or not

After enter my score I was #16. I see some higher scores settled by flat arc but 146K is still a nice score. I chose rather high arc with cut patch of grass pleaced on celling corner.

I was suprise so ABN video is (low score) 1B. Crash of all 3 rafts look like a key.

Hello @rufo, I rarely question top scores but could you confirm that you entered your 158,840 score in the correct level? I managed the second highest score of 147K with one bird and don’t see 11K of debris left (unless you figured out a way to get to stuff on the upper level, in which case do let us know how!). Thanks in advance.

Hello fenikus, I have checked the level again and it was correct. Indeed I have just managed to get 157,990 with one bird, using almost the same strategy of the video but activating the pink just at the moment it hits the last vessel.

Hi @rufo, I can confirm your score. The left structure has a hot spot as well. Till yet it tumbled slowly to the right, for now it exploded as in many other games of this episode. Strat the same as I mentioned above here. http://angrybir.de/1eBOUdb

Same happened to me…seems like the third bomb from the top hit the legt floating structure after it tumbled a bit to the right.
