The best strategy for Carnival Upheaval level 8-2 is to fire the first Yellow bird through both chains supporting the two large wooden circles. As a side effect, the right tower should fall as well. Use the next two Yellow birds to attack the two towers in front of the slingshot. The score in the video below is 104,230.

A different method if that first shot is proving difficult: break the concrete/sand block holding the rings to bring the ring and the light down. Accomplish this by smashing the concrete and sand to drop the whole thing, first left, than right. This should get you the marmoset at bottom behind second tower, as well as the marmoset and tower on the far right.
Fire the rest per the video. You will use all four birds, as I did, but never fear, for my final results were: 3***, and 107,600.
That first shot in the video is both quite impressive and astonishingly precise, and I needed a workaround.
112,560 the first 2 birds should clear both sand boxes, 2nd ring to smash the far right structure, the 3rd bird should go through both marmosets in the first and 2nd tower
Confirmed, same methode except I needed 4th bird because I couldnt go through marmosets in both towers. Still, 118170.
I used all 4 birds this way taking down the left ring then the right, going through the sand boxes, although the far right tower didn’t fall. I managed to get both the front towers with 1 bird, I aimed low & hit around the thin vertical stone & the way the 1st tower fell pushed the diagonal leaning stone plank to the right which helped knock the 2nd tower down. I think there was some luck involved, I’ve only managed to get both towers with 1 bird a couple of times. Then sent the last bird over to get the far right tower. Most of my 4-bird scores have been around 105-110k but this time I got a lot more destruction, there was almost nothing left of the 2 rings.
thx to @karen68 for details
2-birder 124k
first bird break rhe small wood and ston-plank on first tower
second start immediately and cut the chains
here a video with 124k:

puppy picture
128730 with 2 birds.
It was roughly the same strategy as in @comex666 video.
I found it easier to trigger the first Chuck a little later than in the video though, going through all the way to the big box so that the long stone plank is falling into the pit, clearing the way to push the second structure to the right.
The second Chuck is almost strictly as in the video. You can expect a lot of randomness in this level with the three TNTs doing various damages to the big wheels depending on when they explode.
Anyway, here is the final result for the Daily Challenge.
And this is highscore screenshot.
All the screenshots are also available in high res here in one set.
@sweetp
Tired to use @comex666 method with two birds but had to use a third to bring down the structure on the left side. Thanks for the video.
I shot the first bird over the feathers and hit the base of the light above the first ring. It came down and veered a little left and caused the left side to tumble. (This doesn’t happen very often so be patient). I then shot the second bird through chain above second ring and when it comes down, it takes out right side thanks to dynamite. I got several scores above 120K. Highest was 123550. 2 birds left over.
I’d love to hear about others having this same success.
Thanks for the info… I have thought the left side might fall but I have not yet had the first ring go further than killing the 3rd monkey… However,I have threaded the needle and knocked both rings with one shot also wiping out the right side as you have described this shot… It is therefore possible to kill all in one shot… I have wanted to challenge the top score on the basis of 60000 point lead over your score and mine… But I believe it is possible on a 1 shot kill…..
I don’t believe that 197K score… Maybe a one-shot would work, but the damage would probably be less than the amount gained by having the extra 10K bird. I think we may see a score as high as 128K-130K but that is it. Also, just look up that guy on game center to see if his scores are real. :)
119850
A. first birds hit left tower and push 1st & 2nd tower down.
B. second birds hit the top of ring (DO NOT across the chain) make ring down and explode TNT to destrory first ring.
C. third birds aim far to make ring down and tower down. (important, the last TNT still there when 2nd ring fall down, TNT can explode to destroy more 2nd ring)
I help my friend to get 119850, myself — 114610
New high score! My first one. 127590. Started with the left side. One bird left.
Dang. I just got 127570. So close. :(
I don’t get how you guys get those score over 120+. I spend hours hammering away at it and can barely beat the average score.
The method I explained above worked for me. 123k was my first and highest but I’ve had several over 120 while trying to beat that. Hang in there!
I was able to do it like video and cut through both chains to get all the right side cleared and then needed two birds to clear left side but I got my highest score like truckdriver describes above. It is possible to get the first two monkeys with one shot which would result in a higher score but it’s a difficult shot…any tips to clear first two monkeys with one bird? I have done it a few times while going for them first but then messed up second shot and I can’t seem to pin down the best place for entry to get them both with one bird?
Hi @lesleyg, I was trying to do it like misterparon’s video but did not quite make it, then when I fired the second shot, it brought down the ring and the last tower, and the lamp that fell had a piece of the ring fall on it and every time the lamp swayed and rubbed against the wood the score would go up about 400 points, so I let it go on and on for about 3 minutes and it gave me an extra 7600 points, after that I just fired the last 2 birds and finished. Thank God for that lamp.
That’s awesome @sadbird ;-) Gotta love those extra points. A lot of Rio’s levels with “bouncers” often do that too! Every point helps ;-)
@lesleyg Inspired by @karen68 ‘s comment above about getting the first two towers/monkeys in one shot, I found it worked best for me to hit just under the first hollow block and bounce off the top of the second small vertical stone piece.
I then used this as my first shot, restarting if not successful.

121140 one bird. ..I just shot into the box of sand holding first ring and somehow everything fell and blew up all the tnts and I think rings went in in oppososite directions to rltake out both sides. it was my first shot ..I wasmt expecting that so I didn’t pay close attention. good luck all:)
@kathy I think you described this level at best i’ve seen both sides collapse because of the falling rings but not in one shot, u should have gotten the highscore with that :) 2 bird method also could work with @misterparon ‘s 1st shot:

here’s the 2nd shot that takes out the left side with one bird
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/crivit/album/picture/1438/
@lesleyg I think this is what you asked for a while ago :)
Thanks for the video @crivit
I increased my score to 123k with 3 birds with the 3rd shot above. had a 2 birder with misterparons shot for 118k its all about damage im still seeing 130k on this one though, one or 2 birds
first shot as in video. i found it actually not that hard of a shot. clear the feathers by about one bird width. accelerate just after you clear the pink feather. with a little practice you will make this shot every time. second shot actually aim for the thin vertical concrete on the left tower and jet immediately. with practice this will topple both remaining towers and GOODBYE MONKEYS! i got 109,860 this way. and only two birds.
This level’s not proving to be an easy one, I’ve a few times almost had it with 2 birds and then something or other screws it up and I have to use all birds. Have to keep on pecking if I want a nest for my mate.
High score strat……… Not that I have a particularly high score, but…..The key seems to be getting the left 3 marmosets and two towers down with one shot. Why not do that shot first? It isn’t easy and not very repeatable, but one shot will take down the left side occasionally. Of course you need to have practiced the next two shots to the circle things to take advantage of your first great shot…..
Two birds. First one flat to the top left edge of the sandbox. It did not only bring down the first ring but went further through the chain holding the second ring and finally made the rightmost tower topple down.
I was also lucky with the second bird and got both towers on the left, throwing it low into the stone plank like @karen68 described.
