Our strategy for Carnival Upheaval level 8-1 is to fire the first Yellow bird into the small horizontal stone block in front of the slingshot. This will force it into the gap to its right, and level everything except the two towers on the right. Fire the next Yellow bird head-on into the middle tower, causing the remaining structure to fall. The score in the video below is 96,060.

100130 easier if you shoot the far bird first. Start at about 45 degrees and tap screen right before hitting second feather. Should get over 40 k on first bird. Second bird in same location as first bird in video.

Yeah! This is definitely the way to go. Couldn’t get past 100K with the video but this way I was able to get 113,860 within just a few tries! I love this website. :) Angry bird fans just helping out angry bird fans!!!

Just got a nice 107 with this method – clarifying / refining the strat:
First bird – there is a guy in the audience with a camera. zoomed in, cover all but one or two pixels of the center of the lens, activate YB right before feather as stated. object is to hit the board at the junction of the sloped and horizontal pieces under the concrete. YB breaks those two, and hopefully falls down by the silver thingee and cracks the thinner vertical support board while concrete and debris rain in from the far structure. 41 – 42K is a good starting point.
second bird like the video – don’t shank the shot – hope for destruction.

a)aim high with 0-5 degree and accelerate immediately to shot high and far then break pig baloom, –> into the side of left tower to make screen right all destroyed.(45k)
b)2nd birds hit the front concrete with left tower to make left screen all broken.
one bird left +10000 = 112300
if you are lucky….113 – 115 k is possible if more wood, concrete destroyed !!

Returned to this to improve my score a bit, and gave this a try. After several attempts, success! 114,620.

@misterparon video is very helpful. You need to shot almost straight up in the air and boost just as it leaves the slingshot. Figuring out the timing is the tricky part. The first shot reminds me of the first shot I use in Summer Pignic 1-15.

It’s possible to do with 1 bird:
I tried AMG LEON’s strategy. When I launched the bird too high (0 degrees I guess, and accelerate immediately), it landed at the rightmost blue feather. Everything got cleared for 110.990.

Other than aiming, the trick to AMG LEON’s first shot is that dangling box. It needs to be at the left part of its sway to detour YB into the proper spot to take down the tower.

I like moonshots but this one was really precise to aim. Had 45k after the 1st.
2nd shot I hit more around the short horizontal stone, the structure did a slow lean inwards before a rather slow collapse.

Used the two bird strategy thanks @amg-leon for posting and @comex666 for the video. First bird goes through the left side of the green pig balloon. Second bird into the little stone plank.

I found it easier to take out the right side first, like dougwo mentions. High arch and tap before coming down thru middle blue feather, then second bird like first bird in video which is at the small concrete square at left of first tower.

I believe you must hit Green Pig to get a puppy. Directly hitting pig = 5,000 pts. Pig dying by floating up and off screen = 500 pts.
Agree with comex666 on 2nd shot placement. Consistently more damage pts. when hitting the wood vs. the small stone.
