Angry Birds Rio Airfield Chase Walkthrough Level 9 (9-9)

Our strategy for Airfield Chase level 9-9 is to fire the White bird above the yellow and blue caged birds and dropping the bomb as close to the left structure as possible. Fling Blu slightly higher, aiming for the vertical ice blocks of the right structure. His flailing should level both structures. The score in the video below is 104,280.

123,120, It was very similar to the video actually.

Bird 1(White Bird): I got the White Bird slightly higher than the triangular wood block. It was approximately parallel to the tiny grass bush thingy. At that spot I tapped the screen to trigger the egg.It caused nice damage to most of the first structure, only leaving the yellow caged bird and the blocks underneath it.

Bird 2(Jewel): Exactly the same as the video.

Bird 3(Yellow Bird): 10k points

In the end, the left structure was pretty much cleared except for some concrete blocks left on the floor. The right structure had a decent amount of wooden blocks left over. I do believe that a score of 125k is possible. Refer to the screenshot below for a better picture.

That’s a very detailed and excellent strat you’ve got there @kidguy, I was able to raise my old score by another 6k using it, so thank you very much.

Tried this one again today, and quickly got scores in the 115k range using a method similar to Kidguy’s.

Bird 1:

Low trajectory, hit the small edge of the concrete bar on the left side of the wooden triangle. Try to get the “bounce” of the egg to go over structure 1 and land between the 2nd and 3rd antenna (right structure). If done right, and with a bit of luck, you should be able to clear almost the entire left structure, as well as the rightmost part of the right structure.

Bird 2:
The gap between the structure should now be open (antenna 1 and 2 should be broken). Shoot Blu so it lands just to the left of the small wooden block under the two glass pieces. If he “shakes” right, the rest of the right side should tumble down, and it should take out the yellow cage if you’re missing that one. If you’re extremely lucky, you will get the last part of the first structure to fall as well, like I just did.. Ended up with 127400!

Perserverance pays off! Came in with a much higher angle (relatively same impact point) with blue and that finally did the trick.

I got my highest very similar to @kidguy , except maybe a little lower on the first shot to try and take out the base of the left structure. This level looks like it should be so easy but I spent way too much time on it getting my score which isn’t even that great. Blu can be very unpredictable ;-)

I kept at it and with 2 Birds got me another 8k.
1) White Bird drop egg between the two towers, takes everything except the first bird on the left side. (You must do this shot several times ’til both sides drop completely).
2) Shoot Blu at cement block behind remaining cage.

After spending hours trying the listed strats I decided to try something slightly different. Went in very low over tyres releasing egg between tyres and structure, structure toppled to the left (you have to get it far enough back that the purple bird falls, if the rest of the top structure doesn’t move wait for a second because quite often the antenna at the top topples to the left and causes the finely balanced remains to move left), the yellow bird is left. This shot has the advantage of also taking out the gas can and sometimes the drum. I had not realised how powerful the beating wings of the blue bird were until I tried slotting him between the remaining structure and the right structure using a high arc, I triggered him just slightly below the ice in the right structure and it blew both the right structure over and also took out more of the left structure.

Thanks for the strategy @windwalker. On the first bird, using your trajectory, somehow I managed to completely take out the left structure. Too bad I kinda muffed the second bird, but I still managed 120k.

Thanks @windwalker for posting your strategy and @comex666 for making a video. Both appear to work very well. I have released the egg and not released the egg on the first shot and received similar results in the 40k range. Fun level to play.

i don’t think this strategy has been mention, although it’s only happened once for me so maybe it was a fluke…. dropped the egg between the strucures but toward the right side….right tower colapsed to the left and did enuf damage to the base to then have the left tower topple right and kill most the pigs (free the birds whatever)…. i had 2 pigs left that were far apart however… 70-80k after the first shot tho…. good luck (please not my 111k was from days past)

Same strategy as wind walker. But it is possible to get a 1 birder here if you are fortunate. The bite bird somehow took out all of the left hand tower but also knocked enough over to the right to cause the right structure to topple. 123170.

Another new and great strategy from @comex666. The bloated Matilda is most certainly the most effective and simple way to clear most of the left side.

I just scored 127,510 points by using the @comex666 video strategy.

You need good destruction by Matilda on the left structure. This has to be followed by near-total destruction of the right structure.
