Our strategy for Poached Eggs level 2-3 is to fire the two Red birds into the first horizontal stone plank, causing the tower to topple. Then use the remaining Yellow birds to pop any pesky pigs. The score in the video below is 102,460.
Version 2022:
@FujiToast How about adding the video that scores 115K? There must be a 2-birder possible here, but I haven’t been able to get above 108K.
The original video scores slightly higher points. 2-3 is at the 2:20 mark. https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/3-star-walkthrough-poached-eggs-theme-2-levels-1-5/ BTW this video was done by slim.
There was only 1 pig remaining after the 2nd bird in my video above. If it had popped, that was 111k with potential for more damage.
A 2 bird solution is quite possible, yielding about 115K. Similar to the above video, you need to hit the very left edge of the lowest horizontal stone plank, bouncing r/b backwards to take out the leftmost pig on the bottom. Repeat hitting the very left edge of the stone plank with a 2nd r/b and the structure should collapse, taking out all the little piggies.
It is possible to get a 1 bird solution aiming for exactly the same location, but that seems to be more a matter of luck than precision. Scores in the 120+K are possible, just not very easy.
@ mvnla: Here’s a video of the 2 birdie i made, it gave me 118870.
@e-star your video is still very helpful after nearly two years! Ty!
111730 2 birds. The 1st red destroyed the left half of the tower, and the second the right half taking out all the pigs. Pure luck I guess…
Trying to beat your old score is!!!! worse than trying trying to beat average in some levels:(!!
And that’s why E-srar makes videos :) :) :). Match exact…could see one birder but couldn’t make it…its late happy to make mtatch will try again someday…ty ty ty E- star I love you. Lol…bedtime
Its after midnite I’m done…
Take the bomb bird first shot… aim for higher part of the cube blocking the pig… the explosion will kill him 1 shot.
1birder is even possible hitting the closest horizontal concrete block. Bird bounces back to closest pig. Tower collapses and kills all other pigs.
Total score could be higher, debris on a 2 birder made 118k total score.
I’ve knocked the entire structure down several times killing all the pigs with the exception of the first one on the far left. I never can get lucky enough for my bird to roll backwards and kill him. I know he’s laughing at my attempts. Lol!
Finally!!! Hope to never see this level again. Lol!
ty @z0z0
as you said…hit the concrete block at the bottom…1 birder…took some time, but was worth it
One bird solution:
Red:
Hit the horizontal stone slab. And again, and again. Finally you will get it. Try to rather hit upper part of stone block than lower. After getting frustrated with ridiculously high number of retries, I finally managed to one bird this level. 127,040.
almost had a one birdy only the first small pig was left final score 119,020
Hit the end of the grey plank on the second level up. Then hit the end of the bottom grey plank. This aided in the bounce back to get the two pigs on the left and also eliminated the pile up of planks on one of the bottom pigs.
If one zooms in, you can line up the launch basket with the little tree to the back of the sling for a consistant shot at the planks.
Came within one bird solution but always a front pig short or a bottom pig under a pile of blanks.
Thanks, @wrw01 . Hitting the second concrete plank actually got me a one birdie! Hit the plank, bird bounced back to take out lower left pig, structure collapsed in slow motion and got to watch the 40K bonus for unused birds total up.
I don’t know how you guys are making that one happen, I can’t seem to turn the corner past 110k. Perhaps I’ll try sleeping on this one, and try again in the morning.
Yeah, I know what you mean @truckdriver. I thought, great, finally another Challenge I can participate in and then I find I can’t “improve” so can’t put my score up. I tried for about an hour alternating between hitting the bottom plank and 2nd plank. I’ve worked out I think I must have one birded it originally and just can’t repeat it. I too will have another go before the comp. finishes but in the meantime have gone back down the Mine.
@chicadee – I tried the plank alternation strat myself, to little improvement. I’m reminded of a line from an old blues song that states that if it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all.
An entirely appropriate piece of expression regarding AB frustrations.
@TruckDriver I actually got the one birdie on about my sixth try. Than I spent another couple of hours trying to better my score and make the top 50. Of course, no way. Ah, the frustrations of AB.
@catsnbirds – ain’t that the truth! :-) To further my frustration, the same thing was happening on this level using both my PC and my iPad.
I just got 119930 with a one birdie by hitting at the bottom plank…Can anyone tell me if the higher scores (120K +) are with one bird or two birds?
i think its 1 birdie @lesleyg
@angryperson, Thank you for the answer..I thought so…I guess the 126K and 129K scores had lots of debris points ! ;-)
One bird – right to the lower stone slab. Red bird kicked back into first pig and the structure tumbled with very little debris left.
Thanks @playdbird and congrats on your Great score!!!
Thanks @lesleyg – I wish I could say it was more than just luck, but that’s all it was.
Guess I should have read further down at the beginning of my day lol..I have been aiming in the wrong place for on birdie shot…ty for help:)
I wish it were more help @kathy – I just hit that stone plank and everything went down…that first pig is the key – you have to get the bird to bounce back and eliminate him. It took hundreds of tries before this happened and with a hundred more since I haven’t gotten close again.
I just started trying this way and feel.it getting close. it s a great help @playdbird ty :)
I know that this is several days after your question, but I just got 125300 with a one birdie. I used the red bird to the lower stone slab. The fallout was a bit different. The wood fell to the left and knocked the pig on the far left off the platform, and he popped. Still had some debris left, but I’m satisfied with this score.
After repeadedly taking out the towerwith two birds, and leaving one or both of the left hand pigs standing in the way of a good score, I changed my approach a bit and found a fairly repeatable 113-118k strategy for this level.
First bird hits the upper portion of the square wooden block between the first two pigs, bouncing up to destabilize the main structure, while knocking the block down to take out pig #2 and after hitting structure, bounces back to pop pig #1. Score at this point is 11,500-13,000, higher is possible, but not necessary.
Second bird off the front edge of the lower stone plank to topple main structure and pop remaining pigs. The slower the tower falls, the more likely individual planks are to break upon hitting the ground, and the higher the score will go.
10k each for remaining three birds.
If any pigs remain after the first two pigs, the best you can hope for would be about 110k.
I must say @burbman it is quite amazing how you and I seem to stumble upon the same strategy at approximately the same time. I had hit this particular strat at about 9am CST. I don’t have a PAT. I have just been flinging wildly using the “Wind-Up Bird” technique.
Actually I came upon it at approx 11:45 pm PST last night, just did not want to try typing it up on my phone or crawling out of bed to go to a computer. LOL!
I had been doing something similar to the first bird strategy,@burbman, and it does make a huge difference. I also noticed that if I send the second bird in low-just hitting the lowest stone plank-so that it doesn’t bounce to the left, but instead hits the wooden vertical planks under the stone plank, the bottom will crumble better. I think that the first bird helps to splinter the lower wooden planks, as well. Now, if I could just figure out a way to combine the two shots and get a great one bird score :).
@rdnzlrips82 what is “the wind up bird tecnique” ?
Yes, this is a very repeatable skill-based strategy in a level that otherwise requires 99% luck. This makes it a lot less frustrating than the default method.
However, the downside is that a 1-birder is impossible by this method, since the wooden square block takes the brunt of the first bird’s impact, meaning that the tower will never topple.
Finally …. I’ve been trying to improve my ranking here on 2-3 into the top 100. To break into the top 300 a One bird score is the only way possible to do it. My best score with 2 birds was 19600 and that was something I couldn’t duplicate and if left me outside of the 300 rank.. So after thousands of restarts over many days, I finally got my ONE BIRD kill. It didn’t get me into the top 100 but at 135 I’m satisfied..
It’s all just luck and a lot of patience is required. There is no one simple method, just repetition and hope for a good result. I tried both the 2nd level stone and the 1st level stone and came close many times with either one but my one successful shot came with a bottom stone shot. Good Luck here if you want that 1 Bird score.
I finally got a 1 birder on this level. Had a 2 bird score of 116,680 ranked at 1,019. That was the reason for coming back to this level. Now at 122,260 I’m at 202 and happy for now. And your right about patience and luck. (2 x Patience) + (3 x Luck) = Good Score.
Strategies for eagle destruction on Chrome:
– I would try to lower everything and use one of the blocks left over to stop the can from going crazy over the screen. Use the red birds to take down the structure and the yellow birds to clear up most of the left over debris.
I remember about 5 months ago when I last played this level that I got a 1-Birder, but now, try as I may it doesn’t want to materialize again, I get nothing but 2-Birders with none higher than 119k which does absolutely nothing for me now, guess I’ll try again in the near future.
My trick was a highish ark one bird to hit right on the first floor on the front upper corner ever thing whipped out have tried to repeat but unable.
@hemma Can you please specify which platform you play on? Did you use power ups by any chance?
Such a score on this level is very unlikely. ( a typo maybe?)
cc: @admins
It was done on my iPad no power up’s involved thank you..
Sorry @hemma but your score cannot be allowed.
I do not think current top score of 142k is possible, even with only one bird.
@admins
@admins Looking at the scoreboard on here I find it most unlikely that the top score is credible. All the top 10 are in fact “iffy”.
Have these scores appeared in recent times? Perhaps with the advent of power ups!
Looking again – @admins. Can you check the scores for sniper1973. He has 5 top scores on PE which seems highly unlikely!
@steviep147
I checked the guy and you were right. Lots of highscores and not one proofed. Just deleted all his scores.
Thanks for notifying us.
@admins
@steviep147, I looked into those scores and I suspect they were obtained with PU’s so I deleted them all.
Thanks for the heads-up.

@admins There’s another extraordinarily high score at the top on this level.
@grannyann not anymore. Thanks for notifying
@admins
one-birder, rinse and repeat, hit the lower edge of stone-plank
here a video with 122k:
https://youtu.be/9cnu15Xft9w
Oh my. I remember this level so well. It has to be in my top 10 most awful levels ever. I got a lucky 1 birder once by what seems to be the only viable shot – Hitting the lower corner of the horizontal beam. But the same shot almost never gets a result. Rinse and repeat and hope for a lucky and extremely rare break. The programmers have built in a “success parameter” that’s almost impossible to beat to get a high score. Gameplay is so unresponsive, it’s painfully dull and boring. Frustration level 10, entertainment/fun level 0. Can challenges at least be fun to play?!
Just a pure one-birder-grinder with no strategy involved, but in this case it’s quite enjoyable.
I did a 120k with 2 birds (it was nearly a 1birder) so maybe 130k possible?
