To unlock Golden Egg #1 pause any level and press the “?” (help) button in the bottom left hand corner. The Golden Egg will be on the White Bird instruction screen. Note, you have to have unlocked the White Bird before the White Bird instruction screen will appear. Update: With the introduction of animated instruction screens in v2.1.0, the Golden Egg is now dropped by the White Bird.

Hrm, you are the second user to report this. I’ll give it a try after the holiday but will report the issue to Rovio.
Make it three. I bought AB for PC when I noticed it was on sale but couldn’t find the help screen egg. I thought maybe it’ll appear if I’ll complete the Poached eggs? No. Perhaps after I’ve got all the stars from Poached eggs? No. Maybe with similar tricks that the sun (tapping crazily around) or the chest (open/golden/egg/golden egg) needed? No.
We get it: It isn’t there. I will confirm that GE-1 is missing from PC. I am now trying to determine if it is missing from other platforms as well. I should know about iOS soon.
If anyone recently purchased the Mac app — or if you have the Birdday version and had not yet obtained GE-1 — please let us know.

Same as Pete, bought it during the sale, and nothing opens it – ive tried the crazy tapping, typing keywords, everything. Defo not there in any means i can work out!
It is still there on iOS, so it seems to only be PC and perhaps Mac. Like I said, I have reported it to Rovio.

yeah, didn’t notice it before because I transfered my progress from iPad, and GE #1 was there.
I had the same issue with my PC copy, however Rovio just released an update which I just installed and the egg is now there. Not sure about iOS though :)

Rovio is aware and will fix the issue soon. There is a larger issue right now with Mac, so I would imagine that’s their primary focus ATM, but it will indeed be fixed.
Why on the PC do we see only 9 golden eggs. Where are the rest of the 27?
All 27 are there for PC (except GE-1 is currently bugged in v2.0.0 for PC)

When you find them, they get added to the screen, so when you find the other 18, they will be added to the screen

Slim, any word yet of when Rovio will release a bug fix for PC Angry Birds Original v2.0.0 to fix this missing Golden Egg?
Android Toshiba tab: GE 1 has been got on the help (?-White bird) screen but GE page just shows shadow with “?” where GE 1 should be. No update from market available.

Keep playing. There are several types of bird, mostly recognized by color.
In this one, you can get a lot more points by somehow managing to make those red balls evade from their area and bounce around the level, killing more things in it. Avg score is 39k, mine is 42k, and record is 49k.
This happened to me:
The waterball went first to the right side and then suddently to the left side and kept on bouncing at the position where the triangle wooden piece layed first. Then(half an hour) those red bouncing balls made their way up top the left side, eliminating both the small round stones, and even the waterball. But over 49K seems hard….although some stone bricks with the “three b/b in the glass cage” were left in my best try.
I don’t know how you’re getting the red balls to come out of their area. Every time, it seems that the small stone wedges intself into the opening, and the red balls don’t seem to have the energy to overcome this.
Even if the stones wedge into the opening the red balls can still come out, the key is to get the volleyball to bounce back to the left (is rare but does happen) and then just be patient and they will come out. My high score came when all four came out and then eventually bounced over to the right side.
How many attempts were required? :-)
Haha, maybe 1 out of 100 for the volleyball to come out but the frustrating part is the red balls will get stuck in a bouncing pattern when they get out most of the time.
Given the small amount of points, it doesn’t seem worth the time and trouble. But then, this could be just the thing for one of those days when I don’t have a load to run, or anything else to do…
Well the difference between average and the high scores is almost 10k, so there is a decent amount to gain.
How did you get all 4 red balls to come out?
The beach ball stopped and sits on the top right glass plank, this is rare. Two red balls came out on their own accord and took all the wood and stones on the left side out. They are in bouncing patterns in the one-sided opening, second from the structure’s top to the left of the beach ball. One is stuck in the opening itself, vertical bounce pattern and the second is in a horizontal bounce pattern between two angled rock extentions. After about 20 minutes a third red ball came out of the box and got over to the beach ball and took the remaining items on the right out.
I’ve had this happen, and I grabbed screen shots of it. First, the beach ball stopped, while the red balls were coralled by two stones – see http://angrybir.de/R2fz4B. Later, I had the two in / two out patterns you describe – http://angrybir.de/R2qZFl.
When the third bird finally came out, everything got cleared… and didn’t beat my old high score. Just 42,020.
How long do you have to wait before the beach ball or the red balls “start self destructing”? I have waited up to five minutes and it doesn’t work.
I waited 20 minutes until all the red balls escaped but they didn’t effect an explosion. They just got stuck bouncing up and down. My second attempt was more successful as the second ball escaped after 4 minutes, went over to the beachball and broke the glass it was on. Together they went down and set off dynamite. I improved my score by a massive 370 points. You decide if it’s worth the time!

You have what same issue? There is no bug with GE-1 on iOS.
I believe Dave Page means that he can’t get golden egg #1, which had a previously reported bug. I’m also on the iPhone 4, running release 2.1.0 of Angry Birds, and the egg doesn’t appear when I get to the white bird help screen. The white bird deposits a gold color egg though. Maybe this bug got reintroduced? This is my last egg to get.

You would have to contact Rovio. Note that this Egg can only be obtained once, so make sure your don’t already have it.
me also. there is no golden egg #1 for nokia 500. in the golden egg screen i can se only ? mark in the place where the golden egg should be, and the white bird gives only the white egg

If you pause the game in-level and click the ?, it will show you how to use the White Bird. If the White Bird is dropping a normal egg, you already collected the GE.
Another Level I have never seen!! Red bird to TNT, and sit & wait for the chain reactions!! Had one of the stone balls destroyed by the red balls. 41k

Something has changed on this level, Red balls now can break the structure apart for big increases in score. Not really an alternate strategy but an update to the existing one.

I don’t know what has changed, but it seems easier to achieve higher scores.
For some reason the red balls can blow up if they get stuck somewhere to the left of their starting point, destroying the “wall” blocks which are normally indestructible. 9-11K each time this happens, so 79K+ seems possible if you got all 4 of them. This is clearly a bug and should be fixed by Rovio.
Pretty sure I only got 3 out of 4 balls, plus both stones and part of the structure. Hard to remember as I was watching Netflix at the time.
@grimwald — Hi! and Congrats on getting the top score! Have to admit it was so long since I got this one, I didn’t know I still had it until the “new sheriff in town” message came.
Would be nice if you would give some tips. It does look like this level is pure random chance and you may have just won the lottery.
Is there any chance you made a typo? Not that my high scores aren’t usually beaten, but this one has been there for a very long time.
@mvnla2 I noticed the new comments, and decided to have a go. Maybe this is one of the levels that has changed after some update? I remember I had many, many attempts to get my previous score of 45k. This time around I quickly improved to 48, then 60 and 61k.
I concentrated on this one in particular simply because there was no skill involved, just the ability to wait 10-15 minutes for the balls to do their work. Been playing for a couple of years but just discovered the leaderboards. Switched to short fuse to try to beat some scores ( to mock a mockingbird in particular) but most are what I would consider unbeatable.
I suppose I should post something with a new high score. Nothing really new to report as there’s not exactly a lot of strategy involved. In my case, everything seemed to happen pretty fast at the end. I only had two balls and one stone destroyed, but near the end, four or five sections of the main structure blew out, ones I’d never seen before. Giving a whopping 80K.
HUGE improvement to hit top score! Just as @grrtammy described. Red ball and beach ball are on steroids! Only had one stone left at end of play with the red ball also exploding. Crazy new improved level!
