How do you smash the cannon? Do you need WM to accomplish that?
Yes. Direct hit by WM smashes it.
Power Up walkthrough videos were done before the mobile game update. Birds are less powerful after the update.
@campingled Humm… Here’s what I have so far 12-hours into new tournament. Curious to know your stats after update:
Total current max: 1663k
Total possible max: 1712k
Level 1 current max: 232k
Level 2: 243k
3: 290k
4: 219k
5: 422k
6: 306k
IMHO, anything over these early benchmarks may be questionable. What’s your take? –MB :)
@dseufert I agree…..seeing Rovio has updated, and PU’s on Mobile are absolutely useless now!! Who in their right mind, makes a change/update in the middle of a tournament???? They continue to tinker & destroy!
I have been playing on mobile and my PU seem to still have strength however when I used WM with only KS & halloween sling it did not do much
Not all mobile devices update automatically Shawn. chances are that you are still on the older version.
@dseufert sorry, but I do not watch the scores much lately. The two tournaments per week is just too much. I now make the videos and play an hour again on the last day to improve my league scores. I play a LOT LESS than what I used to due to too many tournaments. Since Rovio have no clue how to manage the cheaters in the leagues I even end up with cheaters for the full period with the walkthrough video scores.
@campingled Rovio could ask us for benchmark scores. Many of us have known for years what the top end limits are for legitimate scores per level ;) Thanks again for making the videos. They are a great help to so many, J! :)
I still have a pending open ticket with them about scores. Good luck my friend. They have no clue how to play their own game and what is possible when you focus. They killed my interest and focus with mismanagement of the league scores.
@campingled As of today, Sunday, toward the end of current tournament, here are benchmark max legit scores that I have according to my FB list of AB Friends. Please share with Rovio:
Level 1 legit max: 235-40k
Level 2: 244k
3: 290k
4: 228k
5: 424k
6: 309k
Total current legit max for all 6 levels: 1718k
Total possible legit max for all 6 level: 1730k
Any posted scores exceeding these verified benchmark scores are potential cheats/hacks, imho.
Well, that explains a lot. I usually go through the first several times just using special slings…to scout how I will use my power ups. There are three levels my non power up level scores can’t be beaten by power ups.
Level 2 – iPad with PUs for 239k. Similar to Granny’s PU walkthrough video except I aimed a little higher on first bird and used a different sling on second bird:
1) Blues+KS+PP+Bone on medium-low arc and split immediately so that top split BB goes through upper right tier while the other two splits BBs wipe most everything on the floor;
2) WM+Jingle to mop up the floor. Four birds left in quiver.

Level 5 – iPad with PUs for 410k:
1) FLW+Bone toward lower center (diamonds sitting on wooden tee). BQ after TNT blows. Should wipe out all pigs and all diamonds;
2) Hal+Jingle to sweep the floor and get as much remaining debris as possible. Two birds left in quiver.

I forgot to mention… Use bloated Hal. Don’t activate him but make a direct hit on debris. (A “bloated” bird means don’t activate him or her with special power. Chuck, Hal, or Matilda… accelerate, boomerang, or egg-bomb, respectively).
Level 6 – iPad with PUs for 297k. Very similar to Granny’s PU walkthrough video:
1) Blues+KS+Jingle on medium-low arc and split immediately so that top split BB hits the bottom ice of upper tier while the other two split BBs hit below;
2) Blues slightly lower and split immediately to mop up fallen ice debris on floor and hit main pile in center to “push” it right;
3) Chuck and accelerate into larger wooden blocks in the middle;
4) Black on steep arc to land hopefully in ice between the two main piles. Goal is to flatten remaining debris to make it easier for…;
5) FLW+Bouncy to mop up. There’s a sweetspot on the left of platform. Find it and WM will hop over platform and wipe out even more debris on the right. Sorry. No screenshot. Watch the walkthrough video.
After update power ups are worthless. This game now officially sucks.
I’ve only used power ups on one level since the update and wasn’t very pleased but I love the way the scope shows the entire path.
The old scope went beyond ground level and I used many spots above and below to get exact spots. Now it stops at ground level. Old scope was better imho.
Thus it is! I reach more points than with ? without power. All power ups free of charge used ?.

Did you read somewhere that Rovio has made the power ups free? I’m not sure I understand your post.
I’m stuck on level 3 and can’t get past 266k. Hard to duplicate walkthrough video on my iPad. Anyone got any suggestions or tips? Thanks! :)
My birds do almost no damage when powered up. Why on earth would I spend money for a game that changes SO OFTEN how things are played? This will most likely be the last week for me… Rove has screwed up big time with ABF. What was once a great, fun game is now getting lousy… :(

My WM is practically useless since the update. Even on full power mode, he’s no more powerful than any of the other birds. Before, he could smash through anything. Now, there are times he doesn’t even make it through the first column of wood. Anybody else seeing that issue? I’m on iPad with the latest iOS operating system.
Yes, since last update. I now believe that Rovio intends on chasing so many away from the game that they can make the claim that they can’t afford to keep it going anymore.
The upgrade has seemed to improve the effectiveness on a PC.
I have a samsung tablet and the WM is the same no power any more, on level 5 had 282k before now can not get 230k because the WM will not get over the rock wall.

This is what the iOS update text says when visiting the app store to update: “Power Potion gets more powerful! Damage values are boosted slightly and balanced across all birds.” That may be right but also what appears to have happened is the ‘power’ effect has been levelled down to PC equivalent rather than levelled up to mobile/iOS platforms (which were always were much more powerful).
It looks like many people have been able to reinstall the older version of ABF by turning off auto updates.
I guess I need to wait until next tournament to see what is going on b/c will be impossible to compete with the new version.
