Angry Birds Facebook has a neat new feature: you can now embed individual levels on your Facebook timeline or website! This is an awesome feature that I’m sure will help grow Angry Birds on Facebook even more. Here’s how it works:
- Play and complete any Angry Birds Facebook level. Note, you don’t actually have to pass the level with any stars.
- On the results screen you’ll see two buttons: “Share” and “Embed”.
- Clicking share will allow you to embed that level on your Facebook timeline for all to play.
- The new embed option will generate HTML code that you can paste into your blog or website (just like below!).
A few notes:
- You can play the embedded levels without having to log into your Facebook account (or if you don’t have one). You obviously can’t share your score however.
- Golden Egg levels can be embedded and played even if you haven’t obtained them.
- As of now you cannot make the play area any bigger than what appears below.
- Clicking on the fullscreen icon takes you to Facebook, so at that point you’ll have to login.
- Angry Birds Facebook is Flash based, so this won’t work on devices that don’t support Flash. Sorry iOS users, hopefully this feature will become available in an HTML5 version.
Do you think Rovio had AngryBirdsNest in mind when they created this? Well, probably not, but I have been eagerly awaiting this capability! Too bad it won’t work on all devices. I’m thinking of leveraging this embed feature here on ABN. My initial thought is to link to individual levels from the Angry Birds Facebook leaderboard. I just need a little time to think this through and get the code in place. For now, here below you can play Angry Birds Facebook Golden Egg Level #6, which is probably one of the most difficult levels in the Facebook edition so far (hey, why not have a little fun while we’re at it right?)
Oh, and happy Star Wars Day everyone! If you’ve never seen this amazing Angry Birds Star Wars mashup and poll today is a good day to check it out. 63% of people believe this will happen (we can dream right).
Awesome feature! I believe this will help in popularising Angry Birds even more!
Wow, great feature. Btw happy Star Wars day! :)
Awesome! So will we see some levels from ABF on ABN actually?
Happy Star Wars day too :D
Yawn.
No update for seasons for 4 months, no updates to Original at all since Mine & Dine (in my opinion) and Rio’s dead-something that wasn’t supposed to happen.
What is up with giving out a 3rd of a level per update? It’s excruciatingly slow trying to play a game that only gives out 10-15 levels per update..Rovio, please.stop looking for the $$ and go back to making a quality experience thats not based on a dying social network. Yes, Facebook’s hayday was done last year….
S: 4 months? Perhaps I should reconsider my doctorate in number theory if I’m having trouble, but I count Seasons as less than 2 months.
O: That’s your opinion I guess, but it’s hard to argue with 30 levels being added.
R: Not dead, there was just an update several weeks ago.
15-level updates have been the norm for about, oh, 18 months, so that shouldn’t be a surprise.
Im just being a little whiner ;)
While I’m not a Facebook fan, I don’t think it can be said that Facebook is past it’s heyday, especially since, according to MSNMoney, the Facebook company is said to be worth approximately $95 billion.
Here is what I have learned from article is that we can share a particular level to everyone like an open challenge and we can use it for even non Facebook users by sharing it in a blog or something.my question is whether it applies for angrybirdsnest.com.if yes then that’s an awesome feature and will be better than the current leaderboard system IMHO and there would be no fake scores etc .but i have no chance of getting even the bronze crown in front of these Expert gamers.
when I read the article I took it too much literally and thought that we can “embed” two levels in a sense that join them and make a new level and make it available for everyone.
the next step should to make a level creator with basic features(they should keep some premium features for themselves).it willl be even more fun with with every ABN member uploading there level made by them On ABN .it will be AWESOME!
It might be tedious for the players to copy the link after each highscore, then come over here to paste their score.
if ONLY one person uploads the link on ABN and all the players participate in it
.say if ABN only allows some persons only(i would be happy to do it) to upload the link for particular level.allow only one link per level.
@sal9 thanks for avatar BTW
I don’t see this replacing anything, as you still have to have a Facebook account to share your scores. From there, if you want to see someones score you still need to be friends with them on Facebook. Most people here don’t want to friend each other just to compete on Facebook. If we could start an ABN clan /group/flock on Facebook where we could all compete without being friends, then that could really be amazing.
That is a tough level, almost enough to make me want to get a Facebook account! Seven precise shots in a row each using a different bird. Cool functionality too!
That new feature is awesome, and happy star wars day too. :)
Cool new feature! Happy Star Wars day! :)
That’s quite a cool functionality!
BTW, in your article it says ‘As of now you make the play area any bigger than what appears below’ Is that supposed to be you cannot make :)
Happy Star Wars Day!!!
I got it, @Laurence. Just for reference, to close italics is ” /i “, not ” i / “. :)
Yep, thanks @amslimfordy, it was a slip up on my fingers behalf I believe. What was strange was how it affected the whole page!
Not all that strange. In HTML, using a text tag like the one for italics, it, meaning your browser, will keep going until it read a properly formatted close tag for that property.
Yep, I understand that, but in my initial reply (now deleted), I thought I added a close tag, maybe I typed that wrong as well! I think I may just stay away from tags in future, lol! :)
That’s why visual WYSIWYG editors for HTML were a godsend. I learned HTML when the premiere tool for making webpages was Notepad, and it was laborious, tedious, and it had to be right, else your pages displayed all screwy.
“To bad it won’t work on all devices”
Missed an “o” in “Too” :)
Wow! They have new great ideas so often. The Angry Birds universe expands and expands.
Looks like some intersting ideas for Facebook and the possibility for ABN.
I like the new header image, by the way. It’s too bad an ad covers up half of it…
The pig “eating” the ad is pretty clever. :)
yup. may the 4th be with you all. i like the new update for the website!
One thing I notice is that while the snippet is playable, at least for some us (not just me), the snippet screen is too small. I can’t see the blue bird, in fact, when I was playing the level above!
Awesome good job rovio
This “play the level anywhere” feature is cool! Lets me play AB even when I’m away from my main PC!
PS: May the fourth be with you! (puts up Spock symbol) Whoops, wrong series! :D
Seems like an advertisement for the game on Facebook. Tried the preview above. No power-ups is ok, but no full screen? I can’t even see what I’m firing. I think I’ll stick with it on Facebook.
Awesome.I don’t play ABF much but now I think I will.
Finally Got My Account Up & Running. Anyways About The New Feature, Sounds Good Going To Try It Out Now xD
Epic, Awesome, and Raging Cool!!!!!
If there was an Independence Day update for Angry Birds Seasons, I would like to call it
PORK OF JULY hahaha!
Happy Sith day, everyone! REVENGE OF THE FIFTH!!!
May the fourth be with you!
Great new feature! I don’t have a facebook account, so I’ll start seeking the embed codes in the internet NOW! Then I will add them to my site :)
Hey, check this picture out from Angry Birds’ Facebook page:

Looks like the birds are in a fight!
All birds are angry. But some birds are angrier than others.
my money is on black bird!
Thank Rovio for this feature. Now I do not have to worry about going on Facebook. This is just awesome. =^D
This level is hard! If only they put Orange Bird in there.
I don’t think that the Orange Bird is in Angry Birds Facebook yet, right?
the level is pretty hard,i’ve never finished it
With a power-up, this level is easy.
He isn’t. I think he wasn’t on the normal sprite sheet or something like that.
They do have him on promo pictures for Angry Birds Facebook, though. Maybe he’ll make an appearance in chapter 3 of Surf and Turf!
He doesn’t: https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/almanac/#angry-birds-facebook
So let me get this straight…the final two chapters of S&T on Facebook will be what we receive when the IOS and Android versions of S&T are updated?
I would imagine so.
That leads me to two points. First, if the levels are finished, I wonder why they haven’t pushed them out to IOS and Android yet – why would they wait so long. And second, it’s kind of disappointing – there will not be much of a surprise or excitement around these levels if people have already played them on FB. Strange. I guess they wanted to give FB first love in this case.
Takes time to reprogram from Flash to a mobile platform, I would imagine.
Indeed it does, since what scripting abilities Flash possesses are not used more universally, unlike C++ which can be compiled to different operating systems, due to multiple compilers.
Hi! This is my first post! I’m an avid Angry Birds fan and have all 4 main games. Just to say, the levels cannot be embedded on WordPress.com, as I found when I was trying to put them on my blog.
Yes it can, since we have it in our post here
Weird. On http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/, under Flash and other Embeds it says:
Flash and all other embeds are not allowed in WordPress.com posts, pages, or text widgets. For security reasons, we remove the tags needed for these to work. Your intentions may be innocent, but someone somewhere might try to use such embeds to damage the site, affecting all of our users.
We should make an arcade. Post one game and then update it.
It has been a lot of time since the last update for Angry Birds Seasons it is like we forgot it.It is like the only game that everybody is talking about is Angry Birds Space.I’m not saying that it is not a cool version of the game but there are other versions too that need some attention and maybe new updates.
On average, updates are released every two months or so.
We should see something new very soon.
I hope so.
Right now I’m playing this level on my iPad.
I’m using a remote desktop application if you wanted to know how.
Accidentally found this website on this internet, looks like a new prize web game.

This was posted in the forum. We will try to get something online tomorrow.
From what I can tell, this must a promo in Turkey for prizes. Not playable as an outsider as of yet.
You can play it, Nanami. You only need to log in your Facebook account
Of course it would be in Swedish
