Angry Birds Danger Above 3 Star Walkthrough Level 7-1

Our strategy for Danger Above level 7-1 is to fire the first Black bird into the left side of the ice tower. Launch the next Black bird more than half way up the stone tower, causing it to topple to the right. Fire the third Black bird into the small square blocks to pop the baby pig. The score in the video below is 120,530.

Alternate (but possibly harder) strategy:
1st black bird- aimed at second hollow stone square from top of central tallest building. Kills pigs to the tower’s right when it collapses.
2nd black bird- Needs accuracy: Aim in the gap between what remains of stone tower and pile of stones to its left. After bird explodes stones should fly to the left, destroy ice tower and knock out the remaining bacon

@redsnivy Thank you for posting your strat. I just tried yours after obtaining 132k RD’s below. Your technique added another 300 points.

Appears that both strats are outstanding and can get one into the 130k range.

1st Black Bird – High arc to land on right side of small stone building/pile. If it lands here you get all of the damage points for the bird hiring each block plus points for the destruction of the blocks. You really only need about half of the blocks to slam into glass building to topple it to the left and take out the 3 left pigs.
2nd Black Bird – Needs to land in the center of stone building, let it settle in. The building splits sending blocks to the right to take out other pigs and the ice block stacks. I did something just right on this shot because the right side tipped nice and slow and took out a lot of the glass.
This strat netted me another #3 slot.

P.S. I’m glad you guys decided to make the original Angry Birds levels their own individual pages. It’s so much easier to watch the video for the level I need, than watching a video that had 5 different levels in it. Especially since I am now going back to get above average scores on the original game.

P.P.S. Are you guys going to make leaderboards for the Facebook levels?

@rdnzlrips82 Thanks RD for sharing the alternate strategy and the outstanding description. Gained 6k in points. Your first launch of the bb was outstanding because if the aim was off a tad, the bird just rolled down the building to the bottom. Very repeatable. You did get a great score.

The BB found a sweet spot in the gap just at the base of the high tower such that on the one hand, it fired all the small stones to destroy the glass tower, and on the other hand, it destabilized the base of the stone tower and gently pushed it (in whole) to the right so that it fell flat, resulting in awsome damage and a one-birder.

140920/2 by varying on @rdnzlrips82 ‘s strategy as follows:
1st) high arc into bottom-left (the square hollow stones below the two horizontal stones) of high-rise building, ricochetting, and then being pushed into bottom-right corner of low building by some hollow square. let it explode there. (i take aim by making the yellow/orange part of the ‘antenna’ of the bird almost disappear behind the sling). intended goals: small square stones should be spread high onto glass building on the left, taking it and its pigs out; left side of high-rise building should collapse onto remnants of glass building and the small square stones, destroying each other (that’s important, not so much how much of the building falls down; that will be taken care of by the 2nd; scores after the 1st vary depending on it, but good ones are typically 65k+ (with the building being still 3 stones wide) or 75k+ (2 stones wide).
2nd) straight, to where the two hollow squares (the ones below where the 4×2 square stones are/were) meet. let it explode. (again i take aim using the orange part of the antenna: let it slightly stick out above the buildings in the background). intended goal: make the right part of the building fall flat to the right taking out the right structure, and the rest collapse onto itself (and when appropriate: send the left part of the building onto debirs on the left). to achieve that, the bird should not go through the building (typically what happens when you throw at only one hollow square) and be slightly removed from the right part when exploding (otherwise the tower breaks).
quickly went up from 135k to first 135.5k, next 137k- before getting lucky and my current best of 141k-. looking at the final destruction, i think there’s still a few k more in it with this strategy (but more than 5k would surprise me).

Thank you @vuelva for your variation on @rdnzlrips82 strat, nice tips for shot lineup!!!!!! I can hit target 90%+ of time. That seems to be the trick for many levels, find the right flinging angle, repeat until you get that sweet spot!

I know it might seem late to post strat over two years later……but I believe I am not the only one going back on these earlier levels to improve score (as obviously you are)…….especially since these earlier worlds/levels can have thousands of leaderboard score posting and with a surprising high number of sharp shooters?

With the high scores of these lower worlds/levels, my old scores can be in the thousand ranking, ugh…. I am happy just to improve to make the top 500! Top 300 closer to goal…. if I can get top 100, I consider it a miracle!

So thank you again for taking your time to post this late, but wonderful strat, especially the aiming tips! Even 2 + years after release, your posting was well appreciated and used (by me).
(And I don’t feel so lonely playing these older levels knowing others are too…..)

Happy Flinging!

had a few flings again with this strat for the daily challenge, just to see whether it still worked (without the idea of improving on the 140920 score reported above). the good news is it still works: i got several 135k+/2 scores within 15 minutes and i even got 111030k damage after the 1st bird, when apart from sending the stones to the left, it made the tower collapse and fall flat to the right. the bad news is that making this screenshot made the game crash on my ipad and upon restarting it turned out the score (should have been 141030) had not been recorded. anyway, would not have been enough for a high score, but just to say that i think puppies are reachable.

btw by his wording (`another variation’) asher suggests his strat is different (from mine), but i do not see in what way. he even marked his comment blue; first of all this seems unwarranted for a minor variation; second, when commenting in blue imo the onus is on you to show it’s different from the already listed strats (i.e. you’re obliged to read all comments carefully before doing this).

hi ladybird di, @diannas. i have made a habit out of posting things, not written in the comments yet, that helped me (at least i think so, but putting it up for scrutiny may prove it wrong) so may help others. time (two years late) is no factor in this; solving a puzzle may take an arbritrarily long time. in my field over 10 years is not an exception at all; i myself solved one only after 10 years of trying. of course, fewer people are playing these levels currently, but the nicer the surprise that the comment is still being read and found useful! (reading the comments feels sometimes like doing historical/archealogical research (in the small)).

wrt feeling lonely: currently i’m just playing the (abo) daily challenges, but recently i had been going through danger above (aiming to get into the top 100 for each level; often quite hard or impossible for me, but sometimes leading to new findings/strategies and even surprisingly even to some (3) top scores), and probably will set myself some new goals in the future. enjoy.

@vuelva, On these lower levels, I started back at the beginning a few months ago. I alternate between the older levels and newer ones. Like I am working between short fuse and danger above, newer levels are much more exciting to play than these older levels. I did get all of RIO done! Seasons will be next.

My goal is to place in the top 100 too, but in some of these older worlds/levels, with thousands of postings (and I suspect use of PU or FB), the top 100 is sometimes very hard or near impossible to get….. But I keep trying, but only too a point! (especially if I figured I can’t compete with method used by others). I usually don’t post anything on older levels because sometimes the last comment can be over two years and long forgotten.

I too like to solve things, did so in my prior career too…. (Accountant/IT/software troubleshooter)……I read most all your comments on all different levels you have been at, always find your postings to be the best! Your comments are among my “go to” to read.

TY again for sharing in your findings, I do find your comments and strats among the best. Glad to have you out there still figuring this stuff out, You are very creative! I love the “out of the box” thinking from many who post here. Keep them coming!!!!

Another variation on @redsnivy strategy.

First bird high arc to get the two bottom hollow stones of the tower.
The idea is to get the bird touching the right side of the square stones pile, like this: http://oi62.tinypic.com/nd5vr7.jpg

If it’s the case, the small stones are sent high maximizing the damages.

Here is the trajectory of the second bird: http://oi58.tinypic.com/2woxcfb.jpg

Sometimes you must manually detonate before the bird roll on the left.
I found out that this is not necessarily a bad thing to not touch the stone on the right ;-)

Here is the result of the second bird for my highest score: http://oi60.tinypic.com/111hxk2.jpg

And this is the highscore screenshot: http://oi57.tinypic.com/28t9jfd.jpg
