Angry Birds Birdday Party Cake 3 Level 8 (19-8) Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Birdday Party (Birthday Party) level 19-8 is to loft the Yellow bird into the single TNT in the middle of the boat. This should clear everything on the left side. Once the smoke clears, pop any remaining pigs with a Pink bird. The score in the video below is 113,330.

AB BP 19-8, 131830 w/2..
1st.. y/b on a highly arched trajectory targeting the 2nd pig (w/cap), piercing through the deck, taking out the pig and the all important TNT. Need a big “bang” for some decent collateral damage.
2nd.. p/b on a lazy trajectory targeting the last pig on the bow, bye-bye!

Perhaps the obvious shots to many but someone had to post a strat and so here I am..
A couple of screenshots taken during my score that just may help another “shooter”.. thx

Repeat @marc987‘s strat until you get what you want. I did find that the 1st pink doesn’t seem to have the lifting power like the pinks on 19-6 (just to cite an example), which is my excuse for why I messed up my 2nd shot so many times.

Anyway, I like what I finally scored: 135,690, 2 birds.

Thanks @Marc987. Your strategy gave me a one birder and my first top score ever. Everything exploded and then the right thin lower vertical slowly collapsed and the last pig died. (Would be happy to post a screen shot if someone can tell me how to do so from an extremely old Ipod Touch 2.)

There’s really no other approach to this level than the one on the video and you can at least hope for a 1-Birder which is probably what Lucky Julian got as evidenced above.

indeed. in general, speeding up later (given the right aim) seems to yield better results (for me it gave my current 1-bird score of 142,570). given that i know 141k is possible with 2 birds, 150k could be possible but the current top score of 146k is already quite awesome i think).

Although my best score was using 2 birds as shown, I did achieve 123640 using 3 birds:

1st bird almost straight ahead, but slight downward angle under big pig on left so that its wooden structure falls, leaving only a few small wooden blocks & exposing small stones above TNT.

2nd bird straight ahead skimming stones & activating so that stones & the horizontal stone “plank” are lifted by bubbles. If successful, the horizontal stone piece is lifted up vertically, falling onto TNT & exploding rest of TNT. At this point the score was a little over 83000 leaving only pig on far right & brown cake.

3rd bird to bomb just in front of remaining pig took out pig & brown cake leaving 1 bonus bird.

Very much like the ABN video above but the outcome differed in that the structure above the blue floating balloon fell with the first bird when hit by a small stone block. It was almost a one bird solution.

Although the strats above are very likely to each other, it sometimes helps to use the white bird as well to collect more points. Yes, my reactions are very late, it’s because I was busy with the Winter Wonderham. Still funny levels.

The wildly random results with the yellow bird make this level difficult. When it works, and all the TNT’s explode, it’s a wonderful thing. My best score (128K) resulted in all but the right-most pig being destroyed. I may try to better that and hope for a one-bird solution.

Keep a close eye out for movement after the 1st shot – I had a great 1st shot, clearing out practically everything except the far right structure & pig. It must have started wobbling & I didn’t wait long enough to see it, just as a I flung the pink bird the whole thing fell. Could have been a nice 1-bird clear. Maybe next time.

@karen68 thank you for the heads up on the right side, I think you were better off flinging pink to get the great score you did, the only thing that happens as far as I’ve seen (hours playing!) the top part goes left and either the pig dies and no other destruction worth marking or everything kinda sits on it’s head! So no real help point wise and it times out pretty fast once the pig goes so you’d have likely lost points in the late fling! :)

@mooeyg , @admins i was just checking the birdday party leaderboard, to check for new levels (announced) and then saw a `new’ user appear many times on the #1 spot in this episode. this may happen, e.g. for long-time players that only recently entered their scores, but after inspecting some of the scores, i’m sure several of them are impossible without power-ups and most of the others are quite improbable. since power-ups are not permitted here (see https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/about/faq/#leaderboards ), i suggest to communicate (with the admins) to have your scores inspected

I am in the process of posting the screenshots for all the scores that were tagged as #1. I tested the screenshots to ensure that if a powerup was used, the score would show the lightning bolt. Even on ABO. It is a time consuming process, but rest assured two things: One, I would never post a score from a power up. Never. Two, I honestly don’t have a huge block of time to sit down and do them all, all at once. It will take some time to post the screenshots. I am a long time player who is just now realizing that I have to input my scores myself. I played ABO many, many years ago. I would play through all the levels, then go back and try to improve one stars. Then I’d go through and use the walkthroughs to get the third star. I am not so clever as most flingers out there! It is a rare thing if I figure out a strategy and get three stars. Point is, particularly with ABO, I did not come up with any unique strategy to get three stars. It was all following the walkthrough videos for ABO, and probably a significant bit of luck.

@mooeyg are you sure you posted the scores on the right levels? When you open up Birdday Party the 1st episode screen is Cake 6, not Cake 2. When you scroll to the right you get Cake 4, then 3 then the last page is Cake 2. Maybe check the walkthrough video for a couple of the levels to see if you are on the right level. :)

In master league an opponent has a score of 161800 on this level. Is this possible? Is he using power up? Is this allowed?
Seems to me power up scores should be flagged in some manner so honest players can avoid the effort to compete with
unobtainable scores. Please clarify this. Thanks.

I thought that in Master League, power ups were not only allowed but encouraged.

Ha! HA! You’re not naive. It’s just that I think people want to have a game in which the power ups can be used without being denied the recognition as they are (and should be) in regular game play. The point in regular game play is to use the birds as they are, with whatever skill they bring to the table, in the most strategic way and with good aim. The Master League lets players use their wits to choose the best power up for what THEY do, and get a monster score. Same principle, just different venues.
