Angry Birds Bad Piggies Level 23-1 Walkthrough

One strategy for Angry Birds Bad Piggies level 23-1 is to send the Bomb bird towards the hanging pig. The bird should bounce on the rock and land on the right side of the first tower. The resulting explosion should clear the pigs on the left. Use Terence to topple the right tower. Then quickly send the bomb bird on the pile of debris for extra points. The score in the video below is 128,070.

First bird as in video. Terence on left corner of red building. Bomb into the debris, all blowed up or was blown away.
Funny this, stil working on Star Wars, but fun todo inbetween.

Thank you @bernersenn for posting the two bird solution. Started this level at 121k and went to 130890 with the two birds.

For the present score used 3 birds:
1. Like the video but tried to hit the middle angled edge on the high blue base rock so the Black Bird would fall directly to the right of the left side’s grey wrench. It travels a bit below the blue base rock to cause a more damage to the left structure. Obtained 67k with the first bird. The tnt was activated by a little stone rock.
2. Launched Terence a bit lower than the video and it went into the structure just to the right of the tnt. Pushed the long horizontal stone plank.
3. Launch the second Bomb Bird of it destroys just about everything remaining on the right. Activate it naturally.

Already started thinking this was going to be another 15 near impossible (at least for me) levels. First level and was unable to even 2* it for a while. My problem is, playing on an Android phone, my fat finger makes it impossible to see partial strength of the slingshot. Using the bomb bird to hit the hanging pig at full strength causes the bird to explode before it reaches optimum placement to take out the tower and left pigs. I finally got a shot off that appeared to be less than full strength that took out the hanging pig and ended up to the middle right of the tower. I finally hit 2* but moved on, unable to get 3*. Dreaded the oncoming levels, but easily 3*’ed the next 4 levels.

Kudos to the ABN team for getting out walkthrough videos out so quickly for this update.

136.5k with two.
1st same as in video (aiming too high makes the bomb detonate before it can break through after falling; the brick launched into the right building should be damaged; the left should be almost empty yielding around 68k.
2nd same as @bernersenn: low (lower than in video) over the left platform (through any, already damaged, debris) and onto left-bottom corner of right building/platform. it sliced through. 20k bonus (there was more than 10k material left, but too scattered to send in a 3rd).

even if the 2nd doesn’t slice through, it frequently does leave a nice spot to put the 3rd in. put it in as far as possible (it shouldn’t bounce back; it should end up low, on the platform), using roughly the same trajectory as for the 2nd, and let it explode by itself. scored 136k twice with that, but more possible (140k+, don’t know yet what’s the best strategy in general though).

you mean the time-stamp of my comment was 2:43 am?
haha, yes, but i guess time-stamps are given by the local time of the abn-server, which seems to be
located in the usa; from that perspective it’s `far-eastern-time’ where i live (see abn members’ map),
so no sleep deprivation was involved. (you being a trinity, i would expect you to be able to fling
around the clock, in 8 hour shifts?)

Ah, didn’t realize that about time stamps. After playing this level all day, stuck at 131k with three birds…..wham, three birder for 137k. Same technique, lots of persistence.

Persistence and patience pays off. I spent about 3 hours replaying this one. I think there’s more possible. I used your strategy and kept resetting if Terrence wasn’t low enough to hit the bottom corner.

Using a MacBook Air, I’m working my way through the whole AB thing and am stuck without level 22 of Bad Piggies. It has said coming soon for some time now!! Have I got to do something different to get this level or is it a glitch. Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Wix

I don’t believe the update has been released for Mac at this time. You would have to contact Rovio directly for more details, however.

Yeah, not my favorite level. Getting 3 stars wasn’t too bad but, man, getting higher than the average took 5 or 6 hours at least. Time to move on… but thanks to those who offered the tips for this level!

As per the usual method. Interesting to note that when trying to improve my score from 133k the iPhone platform didn’t want to know about a two birder, which I think is the way to get a high score. Terence just didn’t have enough whoomf! However the iPad HD version is a different beast and after only three attempts I had bettered my score twice!

This may not all be about Terence! There is a timing issue here. The HD version allows very slightly more time for the Black Bird to drop before detonation which means that it can penetrate, just about every time, into the oil can section making the second Terence shot fairly easy. Consistently scoring high 120’s and low 130’s here. A huge, maybe unfair, advantage. But I’ll take it!

I have been using 3 birds like in the video. Almost ;-)

The first bird is exactly like in the video. You can aim for the rope, but it’s better to aim directly to the dangling pig: lower average destruction, but better placement of the debris for the next shot.

At this point, a lucky shot is when the right tower topples, but it didn’t happen for my highest score.

The bottom line is that nothing is lost even if the second shot is far from perfect.
