Mine and Dine level 17-9 is pretty challenging. Our strategy is to lob a Yellow bird and speed boost through the left side of the right structure. The tower and boulder should topple leftward and destroy most of the left structure. Bomb above the TNT and ricochet the White bird into the stalactite above the far-right pig. Fire the Yellow bird horizontally to clear the pigs on the left side, and use the Red bird to the far-right if necessary. The score in the video below is 102,850.

124940 with 2 birds. 1st bird high arc but come down slightly lower than video. Should fall and take out the first structure as well leaving only 2 pigs on the right. With white bird come in low and drop egg on first pig and the bird should shoot up, hit rocks from the ceiling onto the last pig.
Same general approach. 133640 and a lot of luck.
First bird as dgdavidjr says, but I used the white bird differently. Dropped the bomb further to the right to take down as many stalaktites as possible, the rightmost pig and the crystals. The yellow bird took care of the tnt and the last pig. 141520 after a lot of tries.

The 96,000 3 Star mark is ridiculously low.. In fact, I don’t think it’s even possible to get a 1 or even 2 star score…
I agree. I managed to confirm the score (showing 96k is 3 stars and 95k is only 2) but it’s a completely different strategy to get scores that low.
86,140 for 1 star.
127,740 with 1 bird, same placement with the first bird in the video.
Same method, everything just exploded and killed all the pigs.
1. Yellow bird in the same area as the video and also to the left towards the pig. Had some luck for hitting it lower on the horizontal wood plank sticking out to the left above the crystals. Try to get the stone ball into the left structure to cave it in and do as much destruction as possible.
2. White bird over the right structure and release the egg on to the horizontal wood plank sticking out to the right. Bird flies up and hits the dark stalactites and all the pigs and gems go away. Had a challenge getting the tnt to activate.
3. Yellow bird for remaining pigs on the left and debris points.
4. Red bird = bonus.
Debris destruction aids in the higher scores.

@wrw01, nice tip for that 2nd shot, you get a lot more points taking out those stalactites to get the far pig & the crystals.
I used all 4 birds. 1st 2 shots like you, I got pretty good destruction on 1st shot from right tower collapsing into left, 2nd way over to the right to get the far piggy. My 3rd I went for the TNT to get more debris points. 4th, I had the 2 leftmost piggies remaining so used red bird to take them out & knocked over what was left.

Two bird strat: I sent YB in a high arch to come down right through the light on the middle miner’s hat and through the wooden planks. This ignited tnt taking out the middle structure and the stone fell left to break the vertical wooden plank on the right side of first strucure which collapsed the first strucure and got all piggies. Only the far right pig remained. Here’s a screenshot of the trajectory:

WB over with a medium arch (about the height of the top black line in background)and dropped egg in front of last pig around the middle of the blue crystals in the background so that it’s body went up to hit the last three “stalactites” (got that word from above posts) and they came down to crush last piggy and purple crystals ;-)

Nice @lesleyg! I only managed to blow the TNT with my first shot once, but it didn’t help much – it collapsed both towers & killed the pigs, but left me with 2 big piles of wood & not enough destruction for a good score. I’ll have to go back to trying that one :)
Thank you @swelld and @karen68! This is a very fun level with so many different outcomes;-) I got some good scores with 3 and even 4 birds too. I think it’s one of those where you can make work different ways depending on how the shots play out, which seem to be different each time ;-)
This is a sometimes 2-Birder, out of 78 tries, I got it twice and both times with higher than average scores.
1) Launch Yellow Bird in a medium to high arc to land next to the boulder, speed boost Yellow Bird just before impact, (not like in the video) what you need is for the tower to fall and the boulder to meander down on top of the TNT without detonating it and leaving the left tower intact.
2) Launch White Bird on top of the small pig facing the sling, then lay your egg just before hitting the tower, that will propel White Bird into the tower and push everything back onto the TNT in the middle wiping out all life as we know it. The boulder will be propelled to the back where the little pig and the gems are.
my two-bird strategy (similar to some strategies above):
bird 1) what i was playing for was a kind of lobotomy of the middle structure, which is achieved
as in the video or small variations on it. in particular:
- you want the left and right parts of the structure to become totally disconnected so that
the right part with the boulder on top of it, falls to the left /as a whole/ (not just the top two layers),
causing maximal destruction to the left structure.
- the bird should end up at the bottom wood (on top of the tnt), which because of the above
starts to wiggle giving the opportunity for the tnt to explode by making contact with stuff.
indeed, every once in a while (say 1 in 50), this makes the tnt explode taking
out (almost) all pigs. therefore it is essential to get your
bird 2) in immediately; shoot it to the far right and drop egg to take out stones/debris
there and (more importantly) take out as many stalactites as possible which
in turn take out the jewels.
reached 146,860 by that strategy (the 2nd bird took out rightmost 3 (i think) stalactites and all jewels).
there was still a lot of wood piled up on the left, so
i can imagine that taking it out with a third bird could have payed off, but i decided
to play it safe. i didn’t see any major accidents happening so my guess is that this is
repeatable, but haven’t played the level again since.
This one really is all about the destruction! I’ve 1-birded this one three times with a top score of the three of 112k!
