Our strategy for Mine and Dine level 16-9 is to fire the first Yellow bird through the ropes holding the suspended pig and into the gray stalactites, causing them to fall. The collateral damage can trigger the TNT in the middle and clear the entire left side of the level. Launch the next Yellow bird into the far stalactites, causing the right TNT to detonate. Bomb the remaining tower on the right to clear the large pig there, and use the last Yellow bird as necessary. The score in the video below is 110,320.

111,750 – basically same method as above, except that the first yellow bird cuts through ropes of hanging pig and hits the TNT in the nook above the 2 black stalactites. The TNT releases both of them causing more destruction that if you hit them with the yellow bird.
Wow, that level was much harder than I expected to 3-star. I used the same strategy aiming for the TNT above the first set of stalactites.
Has anyone hit the crystal and rock on the right side?
Alternative methods.
1. Shoot first yellow bird almost straight up and tip the little platform with three rocks on it so that they tumble down. At least one should hit the dynamite directly below and with luck with you’ll get one or two flying around and breaking stuff up.
2. Shoot first yellow bird straight up so that it passes the little platform. Just after it comes level, tap so that it flies sideways and hits the dynamite with three rocks around it. Again, hopefully you’ll get some rocks flying around and doing lots of damage.
Either way, you’ll then use the second yellow bird and the white one to clean up, leaving the last yellow bird for a bonus 10k..
Just did method #2 and easily wound up with 110,170 (one yellow bird leftover for the 10K bonus).

I used your second option, and it caused a lot of collateral damage. Then with yellow #2, I was lucky enough to power through the ropes suspending the mustache pig, and BOTH sets of stalagtites. (Somehow, I doubt I’ll be able to replicate that shot for a long time!). Finally, used the white bird to clean up on the last remaining pig. One bonus bird for 115k.
118,150 – I tipped the three rocks, then used the second yellow bird to cut the rope swing and drop the stalactites. Cleaned up from there, with the last yellow as a bonus. This took a bunch of tries, though, before I got some lucky bounces.
Same result – I’m glad I’m over with this level, it was driving me nuts!
128,590 – Tipped the three rocks with first bird, causing a huge chain reaction and cleared a ton of stuff. Second shot I totally missed with, if I hadn’t missed my score would have been higher. Scores can get pretty high on this one.
I just one birded this level with a score of 135330. I shot the first yellow bird the same as the video but it went right through the ropes and both sets of stalactites and that ended up obliterating all the pigs.
I two-birded this level with a score of 134140. I shot the first bird the same as the video; however, it went through the ropes and through both sets of stalactites. Mass destruction to the bottom. I then shot the second bird nearly straight up and tipped the platform to the right, dropping the 3 stones onto the TNT below and wiping out the last pig.
Levels like this one drive me insane.. I must have played this a thousand times just trying to get above the average high score of 112K.. Finally settled for a 120,540.. You really need a lot of luck with this one.. GOOD LUCK…

I so agree with you both!! All the strats here are good, just kept trying them in variations until I finally got a decent enough above avg score! I did find that if you use 1st yellow to hit TNT with 3 stones instead of board/stones you had a better shot of bigger scores otherwise it’s pure luck!!
I hit the upper portion of the leaning stone ledge located underneath the hanging pig, causing the nearby TNT to go off, and killed the stubborn large lower-left pig MUCH easier this way. Then I went on to get 3 stars. Guys, don’t always trust the video walkthroughs. That video method was done with pure luck.
i got 130.990, 1st yellow bird.. Just luck i think haahahaha
I tried to do as per the video, but the yellow bird hitted all stalactites.. Just lucky right??
Guess what guys I can’t believe it myself but I just beat 10-9 with. with 3 birds. My score 113,900 I guess I’m not a rookie anymore ant I swear I did NOT cheat if u shoot the first yellow bird straight up it clears the first rock just enough to shoot it straight across and hit the dynamite in the middle.
You mean 16-9?
1. Yellow bird straight up and over the three stones on the left and activate to hit the left top corner of the tnt over head. Have to left the 3 stones do there destruction.
2. Yellow bird to take out the left gray stalactites center pigs.
3. White bird to take out the right white stalactites and pigs.
4. Yellow bird = bonus
This can be accomplished with two birds if the 3 stones activated by the tnt do enough destruction.
How do you get the items encased in rock at the far right of the screen in 16-9?
You can’t. The “rock” is not destroyable.
That’s what i thought but why have a small cavern with a gem that you can’t get?

It is another red herring, which can be found all over AB.
This level presents a unique blend of alternatives, but as I’ve discovered, twice in a row for that matter, this is more about luck than anything else.
I followed the video walkthrough for 3 hours straight and it never got me past 112,000 points, so I decided to start “playing with my bird”, and it got me a 2-Birder in a 1 out of each 25 or so tries.
1) Launch your first yellow Bird as in video but at just a little bit lower angle (it’ll go all the way to the end bringing down everything except the big pig at the end just before the TNT piggy.
2) Launch your second Yellow Bird so it hits the big pig and you’ve got yourself a 2-Birder with 3 bonus birds. (As I mentioned in the beginning, this is 99% luck and 1% skill).
ps. I decided to keep this score for now, but the potential for even higher is there.
