A good one-bird strategy for Angry Birds Surf and Turf level 5 is to use the first yellow bird to pierce wood veil protecting the TNT. With a few tries you should destroy most of the level and pop all the pigs. The score in the video below is 112,260.

Aim the first yellow bird slightly above 0 degrees and activate its speed boost immediately. Goes through the group of 3 small planks, through the thin wooden barrier, through the thicker one, then the TNT.
Yes, the key was to accelerate soon after shooting…it seems to make him go through much easier and smoother than a late boost ;-)
Truly confirmed. Strech the slingshot with a finger and leave another one on the touchscreen. This will make the bird accelerate immediatly.

After many tries, I was finally able to get the duck. End result was 500 points. That is it.

112,610 took a bit and I barely got three stars with hitting the 112 mark. Phew :)
I had better luck with a higher trajectory and boosting at last possible second.
P.S. I hate one-bird levels that are wishy washy like this one. One shot you’re not even clearing half of the debris and looking at 2 stars. Next shot, you’re looking at hardly anything left but the watermelon trees.
P.P.S. I love that watermelons grow on trees in Angry Birds land! :)
I also noticed another key to a higher score here. If your bird skims and does damage to the front two stone blocks holding in the TnT, it boosts your score. It also helps if your bird carries through the building out the other side and does damage to the wood out there.
@rdnzlrips82 Had success with the little higher fling and activated it right before impact as RD mentioned. It was a direct hit on the tnt and did a lot of damage but still cannot get those watermelon trees.

I see. Everyone’s high scores. It just seems like you can shoot everywhich way to sideways and sundays. Comes down to luck of the fall..oh well above average good enough for now:) ty

I had the best luck following Ripsys strat as well, I also noticed if you do a bit of damage to the glass at the end it can really add to your points as well! As an aside, has anyone else noticed that if the fishing rod isn’t destroyed it takes a life of its own and keeps hopping around destroying things until it leaves the screen? It’s a bit of a creep factor to watch! Thank you @rdnzlrips82 for a great alt strat! :) OB another on the Ripsy tab if you will! ;)

114610 using slightly elevated shot with late acceleration so that yellow penetrates the junction of the two vertical pieces of wood.
Scores from 108 k with fluke of 114.6 k.

Just one of those levels that is easily 1-birded but it all comes down to destruction. I probably 1-birded this level 500 times before I got 117k
i didn’t destroy much..but when i activated yellow closer to the structure,i got 115,670
And if you are willing to spend money on power ups… super seeding will almost guarantee that you will go over the threshold. 120k over on facebook.
A level best left alone after completion. Skill and luck are strangers here.
Yep. I have attempted every approach hundreds of times each, and simply cannot get past 114k with any of them.
