Our strategy for Angry Birds Surf and Turf level 1 is pretty simple. Just launch the red bird at the stone below the two vertical wood beams that support the middle tower. This should take out all the pigs. The score in the video below is 68,400.

Preferred hitting the wood a slight bit up.
70220…hit bottom left stone block which caused the tower to sway. Boulder tipped to right demolishing front tree and all three watermelons. Rest of structure fell to the left taking care of the pig there.
72460 – same strategy as zebrajames, but if you hit the corner of the stone block and manage to get the structure to fall one way and the boulder the other, results in more destruction
I also hit the stone block on the corner and got 73720!

I hit vertical wood with break in it at the very top just under the horizontal stone plank…stone rolled left tower fell right and got three melons.
I did the exact same thing you did, AA. But when I was doing mine, I used what a call a “wind-up” fling. I’ve seen a lot of vids vids where the player starts lower or higher than the intended release point and rotates sling quickly to intended release point and let little red fly. This method, I believe, has actually helped me increase my scores on a lot of the other levels that have little red in the sling first. Hope this gives you a little inspiration.

I’ve only been playing these levels for a short time, but I have a question about something I am seeing. I hit the pause button and the screen is showing the red bird with a white iphone-type device beaming over to a model of the earth. I haven’t seen this before on other levels and am not sure what it means :). Anyone have any idea? Maybe I missed some story somewhere about this, since I haven’t played the surf and turf on facebook, so I haven’t read much about that version. Thanks, and sorry if this in the wrong place.
I get that picture if my phone is unable to connect to whatever source the Rovio News feed comes in on. Are you away from your wi-fi, or in airplane mode at the time perhaps?
Well, that makes sense! I have been playing on my Kindle Fire with wifi turned off. Thank you :). I couldn’t make heads or tails out of that. I usually play on my phone, so it’s always connected.
I download the free versions so there are always ads that get in the way when playing. To fix that problem, I turn off all data services while playing. Sometimes the ads slow the gameplay down, too.
I’ve always thought it meant you aren’t connected to the internet, but your device is actively seeking an internet signal.
why is there no mighty eagle tutorials to Surf and Turf Level?
There are, but they’re hidden for some reason.

I just have a question. I have already gotten 3 stars and all the golden eggs. But I see there are two more sub levels of SURF & TURF. How can I unlock these?
These are not yet available for mobile devices. Will be released in a future update.
Had better luck with the top left corner of the bottom left stone block. Took a number of launches but the positive aspect is to fling one bird and the results are instant. Gained 2k which on this level is great.
Tried to place my comment above under stevenellie’s post but for some reason it did not work.
Agreed, hitting the stone, instead of the wood piece, results in consistently higher scores.
I also got my highest score by hitting the stone, though still not able to break over 71k. I tried hitting the tower at every point (numerous times). On one occassion the boulder fell left and the bulk of the tower fell right taking out both watermelon trees. There were only stubs of the tree trunks remaining, a few sticks from the left tower and the two stone bases (cracked) of the main tower but it gave me only 69k. I didn’t note what was left when I got 71k but I do know that I only got one tree. So just keep flinging and wait for a little Factor L to find you!
I had more consistently higher scores by hitting the top left corner of the vertical block on the base of the center tower. This generated some points from damaging the block and consistently caused the tower to wobble so that the boulder rolled to the right and the tower to the left. After numerous attempts, enough damage was done to yield my current high score. So I’m movin’ on. Hopefully, I can improve on level 3 here. Good luck.
