Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Tatooine level 1-39 is to launch Luke through the northern hemisphere towards the retaining blocks. Pull the lightsaber out when he is halfway between those blocks. The steel wheels should fall on the planet below and destroy the pigs. Luke should be able to continue his flight towards the other side of the planet to destroy the remaining pig-troopers.

I was getting it from the north so I tried coming from the south. It worked for me.
I also found that it works more often when going from the south.
Southern strat definitely works better.

although i found the south much more repeatable ,i was unable to getout of the 64k mark ,will keep at it,also for the ppl that are trying the southern route u will need to trigger the saber quite abit earlier,i found best results when opposite first round disc on right,his body will hit the second top right wood ,and its usually in the 64,000area happy hunting
I got my score using two birds. You’d think that scores in the 70k range are at least a possibility.

This one is more of a “Lucky Strike” than anything else.

This is very repeatable and didn’t take any luck, certainly nothing like the levels needing all the ricoching. If you aim high you clear the boards on the left side with the light saber, bounce off the round thing at the end, and slam into the lower pig-trooper. Collateral damage takes out the other one. @werewolf69
And I got that ‘lucky strike’ for 66220. But according to the leader boards, 67K plus is possible.
I used the south method too and it worked for a score of 63490. It seemed like it gave me more time to time the shot.
North or south does not seem to matter to me – I can’t get past 64K, but I don’t see any other realistic alternatives.
I know I’m away behind the posted comments, but I am having problems with Luke hitting his head on a rock overhang when I come from the north after hitting the stone wheels with his light sabre and dropping like a stunned bird, not completing his trajectory to get the remaining pig storm troopers. When I enter the atmosphere a bit lower, my light sabre can’t reach the suspended pigs. This level it’s so hard for me!
@mecstaveler looks like you got it i had the same trouble..was just a matter of getting flight pattern down correctly in the middle and timing sabre shoot..nice score:)
@Kathy I sometimes wonder if the device we are playing on makes a. difference, (screen size, etc.) because I just recently noticed that when I am having trouble with a strategy that worked so well for others in the forum that if I don’t zoom out on my screen (7″ touch screen) like I always do, I am able to aim with more accuracy. since it’s my finger and not a mouse lining up the shot, it’s harder to get it just right. I do that now when a shot has such a narrow margin for error. I look here, in the comments, to see what kind of scores people are getting, and keep trying, or try a different, posted strat, until I’m happy with my score. I’m replaying the Angry Birds Star Wars right now, trying to better my scores, since I wasn’t reading comments when I played that one. Thanks on the nice words about my score I ended up with after trying over and over on this level. :-)
@mecstaveler your totally right!!! I’ve tried your theory of zooming in our out as the case may be and it does make a difference..I’m hoping to get a kindle soon with a bigger screen..but still sticking with the Androids OP..:)

64820. I finally gave the southern route a try. First attempt.
That’s funny. I never could get the southern approach to work at all.

I couldn’t get souther attack to work either but was pretty happy with my northern attack score of 66060 anyway.

61K+ is easily repeatable. At the begining, northern way was easier for me but after a few try by the south, both ways are working fine. I am still trying to know more precisely when (and where) to activate the force for better results.
I think that there are no skills involved here. Yes, you should launch Luke at the outer side of the sphere, then also use the saber. But that’s all there is, the rest is luck. I think.

So may i ask did you get your score by shooting where the video did?i

@kathy, yes I played like the video. Bird exactly on the rounding of the sphere. Used saber just before leaving first object. Although I have to admit that I don’t have any idea how many times I played this level. That’s why I already asked for an app that show us the times that we start each level. This one, I think over 50 times, perhaps even more. This because there is only one strat here.

@Kimmiecv some of these averages are possibly driven up from Hans having a more powerful saber..i know not everyone returned but on these saber levels it seems like it, this one of tough..the shot is easy but the damage eh hh not so much, may have to leave it under average:(
I believe that’s the case too @Kathy!! We will for sure have to hit these levels again in hopes of raising our scores! The blue saber isn’t as long it seems as the green one so I’m guessing that also had a lot to do with the damage one causes. This will indeed be a Looong quest we are on! ;)
Well maybe not..i just made above average:) but still i know we will do better with the good stuff:).
Still gonna be a long quest, i don’t mind its fun even if its basically luck based…and maybe well get a pretty cool badge after our hard work saving the nest from piggies:)
