There are many strategies for Fry Me to the Moon level 3-8, but one idea is to fire the Blue bird along the southern extreme of the gravitational fields, breaking the icy asteroid that resides there. The amount of destruction can vary quite a bit based on timing, but a one- or two-bird clear is very possible this way.
If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments, as that's what the leaderboards are for.

2* = 59270
3* = 61650
60390 = 3*
Confirmed 3* @ 60k
Well done.
Three stars with a score of 64130. Used the method described above, only needed the one bird to break the ice asteroid in the lower section. The chain reaction produced smashed the pigs in both orbits.
Used the same strat as described at the top of the page. Got lucky and had all 3 ice boulders break and send chunks everywhere.
I actually found aming at the asteroid on the top of the screen worked better for me and used the lower one with the red bird if I needed a second shot.
@fidslady – My score isn’t quite as high as yours, but I found that going for the top ice-teroid gave me better results and a better chance of setting off the lower one.
Try a few times and you’ll get there. I didn’t play this level long at all.
used above strategy, one bird, 74820 3*
I think aiming for either the top asteroid or the bottom can yield same basic results. I first aimed for top asteroid and the middle bird of split pushes ice asteroid in while the top bird of split bounces off top right blue planet and comes down and across to hit ice asteroid on bottom.Got 69880 this way but actually got higher score of 71390 when I read the posts and hit bottom ice asteroid, same basic idea except when hitting bottom asteroid, instead of a bird having to bounce off planet, the explosion of the asteroid is close enough to the other asteroids on the right that some of it’s debris should hit them with out much effort…as long as you can make contact with atleast two ice ateroids you should get a one birdie for above average score.
Got 75k aiming for the low asteroid and splitting just before leaving the atmosphere of the first planet. It pushes the whole asteroid into the second planet and hope for lots of exploding asteroids to take everything out and get a high score.
Score: 76980
I shot the Ice Bird on the ICE Block (bottom right) in the Second Atmosphere so that the ICE Block right off the field also smashed !!!
Got 73k by hitting the lower asteroid. It split and hit the rightmost asteroid, which also split.
I hit the lower asteroid, and debris somehow hit all three asteroids, but with one pig left. Then of course I wasted the next bird… ended up with only 60840. Almost 80K+
@fujitoast thanks for the strategy in the ABN video, worked great for an above average score!!
Same strategy as the video thanks. I think a lot of luck for just the right bounce is the key with this one. I’ll be happy with my 82,830!
Thank you. This level was driving me out of my mind (not a long trip…)
Any more ideas? Been stuck at 70K forever!
i’ve been stuck at 62k and tried all strats, just cant get any higher
I ggot 75k + with written strat above videi..@zebrajames400 and @angryboy..just got to hit that ice ball just right..guess that’s all ill improve though..I been stuck for hours. I made the list..I see you did too..gj and good luck;)
This level is an example of why I’m sorry I bought space. I haven’t even finished the entire game because I dislike it so. I got my three stars on this level and will never visit again unless I can learn a new way to play space. Serious congrats to everyone who manged to score above 70k!
@remi3241 @karen68 @trishohara @surfcow Any tips for getting higher scores on LOD? I haven’t even been able to duplicate my previous high.
Hi @mvnla2 I wish there was a magic answer or I could claim great skill. I took the shot like the video & had a huge dose of L-factor. The key was breaking all three ice boulders – they got me alot of points bouncing around & taking out alot of the snow etc. Don’t know how I got all 3, I looked away & didn’t see all 3 break. This was this morning & I haven’t come close since. Good luck!
Just hit the bottom ice rock. Eventually it will split in a way that it kills all pigs and also hits the above ice rock.
Good luck, happy flinging
I just did same as video. The key to a high score is having all 3 ice blocks break up which, I’m sure you know by now, is not easy to do. Sorry I don’t have anything different to share just keep on plugging away. :)
Ty @remi3241 for sharing :) great score. I guess. Its all in the luck of how the ice block crumbles ;)… great job on Iimprovement:) srry for. Typing..my. phone stinks or it could be my lack of texting skills on a 2 inch. Screen..;)
@mvnla2 – I’d say “do the hokey pokey” but that would just make you look silly. I’m 99.9% sure the top scores for this level were due to all three icesteroids being broken apart into smaller pieces after only one bird. It’s next to impossible to score above 70,000 without smashing at least one of those icy boulders in space. My score didn’t improve until all three of them had sent little ice bombs careening all over. I haven’t been able to duplicate the shot, which I think was aimed at the top icesteroid. I suggest trying different releases before, during and after gravity to see where the pieces parts fly. You might find one of the triplets bouncing off something and returning into play after a few seconds, which is what broke the second icesteroid (lower) for me. Good luck to all, cuz you’re gonna need it. Aloha.
@surfcow — This level would make a good functional filter for identifying the insane … I give up.
@remi3241 @Karen68 @surfcow — Should have said thanks for the replies — Couldn’t make use of them. Maybe someone else can. Don’t think I’ve even gotten that close to my previous score.
@mvnla2 – I couldn’t agree with you more. Less. More. Less. More. Less…. It seems the voices in my head are arguing about this level. Yay, it’s time for the next Level of the Day Challenge. Aloha.
@mvnla2 don’t feel bad ;) I’m in the same boat..although you have done much better. I’ve -only got lower ice ball to break ..moved. on reluctantly …;)
For those of you not familiar with the “L-Factor” of Angry Birds, this is one of those levels that will help you become more aware of the “L-Factor.” While this one isn’t nearly as hair-pulling as others, it can still be frustrating. I tried and tried to think up a fair and easy description for an aim point. But, I couldn’t find the proper words. So I thought to myself, “Why not take a picture, Ripsy?” So I did. And here is the picture of the shot I used. No Power Ups of course. In case you can’t tell by the pic, I split as close to the bottom icesteroid as possible. You will either strike gold, or go home cold. The “L-Factor” decides that for you.
@rdnzlrips82 thanks for the screenshot!! ;)
@sunshine, I am guessing by the smiley wink in your text that it helped.
@rdnzlrips82 you are putting those brain cells to good use, that would be a YES! :)
