Good to know I was on the right track, at least. I tried that method a BUNCH of times, and never got the first purplebird to tip over. It is possible to get both purple birds with one shot, but only just now did I get three stars with 64750.
I got three stars with a score of 64470

Launch the first two birds as fast as possible for an easier time breaking that pesky big box

72050 with 2 birds – same method as video just got lucky and the red bird finished everything!

@Brian & others – I also did as you, the trick is to keep the red bird holding up the stack for a short while so when it pops the small purple bird cage platform ‘bounces’ back to the right briefly, knocking the final cage. p.s. I got 73,130 ;-)
Thank you so much Bird Leader for your helpful posted clip! I just bird bombed AB Rio Smuggler’s Den 2 -14 with 66,850 for 3 stars !!!! I couldn’t seem to beat this final holdout to perfect scores. I am done with all levels of Rio. Now look for the hidden trophies *sigh* and wait for the s-l-o-w release of the few final chapters of AB Rio….

help i got a high score doing it a different way, score is 62310, but now i cant get that high or higher with this method
Some of the comments here may give other methods. The videos typically only yield (close to) the minimum 3-star score. Higher methods are given by users.

One in a million shot; crushed the ice AND the big block behind it together, all with the first bird. For a second I was hoping the weird bounce thing was going to happen as well, if so, I would have finished the level with just one bird! But that didnt happen. Two birds were remaining. Finished the level with the 2nd bird.
i got 66,810 with this method. I’m so releived because it was kicking my butt in a bad way!! Thank you!
A little luck never hurt. 73600 using the method in the video. The first red bird got everything. Lucky.

Wow, I originally had 66270 and average is 66429, I think I drove myself crazy trying to get those extra few points, lol, anywho I hit bb pretty much like video but slightly higher, just above horizontal, it took out the small blue empty ice thing and first red bird in cage then second bird also higher than video and hit it right at the thin wood plank(s) now sticking out (theres two thin wooden planks that stick out just below empty box), hit them dead on and whole left side is gone and ALL boxes for extra points, then third bird has to take out both purple birds on right, just aim betwwen them..I have repeated this method several times so its reliable and just did it again and only had one purple bird left which third bird took out and gained 1K more! going over to leaderboard to re-post:)

i know it can be done… I cann see it, got all shots down at except for hitting the last 2 purple birds at once..:( I am so close to the jungle I can hear those darn monkeys mockng me lol….help… mighty I am dropping the sardine….calling all. Help…:)

Hit the ice block as AA but a bit more up that is on the wood too. Then hit the RB to the wooden plank above the ice block and watch sweet destruction happen(it takes some luck). Use the RB to cleanup in such a way you destroy the cage as well as get more debris.

The key to this level is getting the bb to cause visible damage to the large crate underpinning the structure. It takes a near horizontal shot, splitting bb just as it strikes the large crate on the outside of the structure, much like skipping a rock on a pond. Then little red can take over, with a trajectory just slightly higher than the bb. After the collapse, you’ll want at least 50k on the scoreboard, and one cage remaining, or else you should restart. A modest lobbing trajectory should get the final cage, and perhaps a board or two. One bird left for 10k bonus. My total: 67530.
