Angry Birds Rio Market Mayhem Walkthrough Level 17 (14-2)

One strategy for Market Mayhem level 14-2 is to loft the Yellow bird, speeding through the right structure above the main level. The resulting destruction should cause the gasoline can to explode below. Send the White bird straight ahead, bombing the low structure and ricocheting the bird through the supports above. The counterweight holding the top-left structure should be released, clearing the level. The score in the video below is 96,230.

If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments, as that's what the leaderboards are for.

105k with different aprroach…first bird aim him at the tail of the moneky holding on to the chain, accelarate just before it hits it and bird continues to do some damage to the right most house, where the red petrol tin is…doesn’t matter if all of the house colapses and petrol explodes! Second bird same trajectory as first bird, release the egg to bomd the bottom hollow conrete and corps flies upwards, cuts through the remains of the chain and through the right hand diagonal wooded plank and continues to hit the thick concrete at the top, that topples the top structure to the right!

A variation on @communistpride‘s approach:

Speed through hanging monkey and the wooden platform (you can also aim a little higher and cut both chains, but for some reason the lower trajectory seems to give more points in the end).

Second bird along same trajectory and aim the deflated bird at the stone block next to the top right monkey. Falling stone + bird will clear the right side.

This strat very repeatably gives 100k+ scores.

Most important here is to cut off both chains. Then you have an excellent way to use white bird.

Been trying to high-arc yellow to hit both small supporting piece o’wood & neighboring long plank, that’d topple both platforms, one of which collapsing big structure. Then egg bomb lowest monkey and take out both chains.Potentials for 1-birder,in case of successes inform me plz

Thanks @fleshyskeleton for the idea & @crivit for the pic.
This is a tricky shot, the angle is so steep the yellow bird has to crawl back up the slingshot to aim. I’m finding it really hard to steady him before firing on an ipad. I made the shot several times but only one successful 1-birder for only 107k. It’s an improvement over my old score but I’m sure higher 2-bird scores are possible. I’ll have to keep trying both.

There’s either a sweet spot for this shot, or I’m doing something wrong again. :) For me, Chuck deflects off the top left corner of the stone block and both top structures collapse. Then I always get the exact same outcome: The chain-hanging marmoset and red gas can survive.

I’m with ya on this one @Kelani ~ It seems 75% of the time I mess-up the second shot but thank goodness that doesn’t matter 24% of the time because I’ve already messed-up on the first shot ~ LOL! …..But then there’s that remaining 1% of the time which yielded my current +105K score and keeps me flinging despite the frustration.

@uncle-b If this level hasn’t driven you completely nuts already, may I suggest giving the 1-birder a try? We have the rare benefit of good PC scores and a handy PC trajectory screenshot courtesy of @comex-666. After shooting, I’d zoom out and compare my trigger/trajectory dots to his. Didn’t take long to get 108k, and a half-dozen 106ks since. For comparison, I used the trigger spot location on the sling, and starting from Matilda’s head, the location of the 14th trajectory dot in the second background window they pass through.

Aiming tip: The perfect aiming reference spot is whichever works best or you:

-Where Chuck’s left eye (right eye to you) is half-covered by the curved edge of the sling’s arm, and his body is level with where the sling forks.
– Where the brown sling band that covers Chuck’s body is perfectly vertical
– Where Chuck’s bottom right corner is precisely over the right edge of the sling pole.

You have to trigger FAST. I do it by drinking espresso first, then instead of release-click. I start double-clicking like a madman. :)

Great score @kelani! And to @comex666. This is a booger level. It is definitely a tricky shot as @karen68 so aptly put it. I can’t keep Chuckie boy still enough to get just the right angle in the sling to release him for the 1 birder. I actually did get a one birder but it was really sloppy and only yielded 93k. I finally raised my score up to 107k just a bit ago with 2 birds. I’m pretty bushed with this level so I’m calling it adios and going to bed. Still a bit of time left on this one so I hope that someone earns a new puppy.
