Shortly after the PC update last week, Mac users are completely up-to-date as the latest Angry Birds Rio update (v1.3.2) is now available and includes all 30 levels of Airfield Chase. This also means a new flock of users will be hunting for those hidden apples, so if you need help be sure to check out our walkthroughs. This update comes about a month after the last Rio iOS and Android update, so check out that post if you want to know the nitty-gritty about v1.3.2. Lastly, don’t forget to compete with the rest of us on the Angry Birds Rio leaderboard.
This update includes:
- 30 new levels in Airfield Chase
- 15 new hidden apples
- A new boss fight (shown in screenshot below)
- Pro tip! Try to hit the luggage. It’s worth 5,000 points!

Kind of funny: the screenshots in the Mac App Store are from the next update. The chapter selection screen shows the ‘Smuggler’s Plane’ chapter. And also one of the level screenshots is from inside the plane. That must be a mistake. The update only contains the Airfield Chase updates.
Well, now we know the last update will be called: “Smugglers’ plane” ;)
I saved the two photos before rovio remove it. Looks same as airfield chase. Birds, rods, luggage…i hope this chap has marmosets too…i like to kick them more
and the boomerang bird will be part of the final update too.

Well, i don’t mind the Boomerang Bird but GOD they better add that Globe Bird.
I wonder what the next fifteen fruits you have to collect are?
It is unclear if they will have enough time to add the Globe Bird, but I would love to be proven wrong.
We will be collecting 15 mangoes.
How did u know the next fifteen fruits?
For PC’s version of Rio, you can access the game’s image files. One such file is called Trophy Room. The mango is in the bottom-left (under the papaya).
You can also see the trophy awarded for defeating Smugglers’ Plane (the propeller).
Do you know how many levels there will be? like 30, right?
No idea. I would guess 30.
Why not the boomerang bird? While not the best, it’s still hundreds of times better than the red and yellow birds combined.
why does everyone hate the green bird? if you use it like a red bird he works quite well. (especially on wood)
So just wondering but are the levels the same as other platforms or was there a mistake n the update?
They should be the same.
Same old’ v1.3.2. Both Mac and AppUp have the wrong description, but correct content.
O.k then that is good. Nobody is left out!
In Game Center it sais that there will be a total of 65 achievements.
2 new achievements are “unlock boomerang bird” and “unlock Big Brother bird”.
3 secret achievements that are unattainable at the moment are already known.
So does it mean that there will be 5 more secret achievements?
They will probably be for smugglers plane, so one for completion, one for 3 stars, one for score addict and one for all of the fruits. That accounts for four. As for the other one I would suggest another feather achievement.
Or maybe the orange bird. :-)
