Angry Birds Friends Tournament Level 3 – Week 7 – July 2nd

Walkthrough video and strategy for Angry Birds Friends on Facebook Tournament Level #3 Week 7 (this tournament began the week of July 2nd, 2012). Our strategy for this level is to fire the white bird over the helmet pig with the goal of dropping the egg bomb down the tiny gap to his right. Do this right and everything but the to pig will be history. Use the yellow bird to take out the supporting leg of the top pig’s structure. The score in the video is 115,110.

Thanks to @iamMighty for pointing out that this is a repeat of Level 1 from week 4, so feel free to check that post for additional walkthroughs strategies. You’re also welcome to post new ones here.

Our Angry Birds Friends Tournament walkthroughs show you how to obtain 3 stars and highscores with and without Power Ups. If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments. Tournament walkthroughs are added weekly as new levels come out, so be sure to check the walkthrough page.

I got 125k with a 3 birder. Everything is the same as the video, except I used the late releasing white bird on the remaining stone debris after second shot. Should give more than 10k when used right.

Hey Bill @dollarbill2208. Okay..at the risk of sounding like a broken record…137K for this level is high too. If you look, the majority of “US” are lingering around the 125k level. A few have gotten better scores. I think 129k is pretty much as far as someone can go. UGH!! I dunno…I guess there is just no way to keep track. I just need to compete with the people with the legit scores and swallow “in my head” those who aren’t. GOOOOOZZZ-FRABBAH!! Happy Friday Bill AND Angry Birds Nest playas ~

@plydon Well, I would advise the opposite for two reasons. Firstly, because the interaction/bashing in the board is becoming more interesting (and often funnier) than before. Secondly, because we should make them aware that we know they are cheating. Since cheaters will hardly change their ways, I have a controversial proposal akin to legalizing marihuana. What if the site allowed people to flag when they enter whether they used a cheat? This means it would be possible to flag in the leaderboard who achieved the high score cleanly and and who got it with a cheat. The main benefit would be transparency and given peace of mind to those of us who really, really want to do it properly.

Rank: Out of this World with 2650 points

@congo That would require the cheaters to be honest. I don’t think cheaters want others to know they cheated. =)

He, he, he well, yes. I am probably assuming James Bond type of villains… On a more serious note, I have noticed that most people have no problem saying when they used a power up (which is a legal form of cheating), so I (probably wrongly) assumed they would do the same with the cheats. The alternative is to appoint a Federal Agency with an appointed Czar to unleash the war on cheaters… :P

I was just discussing with my cousin and we are considering using whatever cheat hack methods are available on a separate ID to determine what the cheat scores are like. We will then have verification of which scores were made using cheats. I will have to look into the cheating methods first to see if it can be done on a different machine as I don’t want to corrupt my computer. Or maybe the admins don’t approve of this in which case I’ll abandon the idea.

We’ll have to wait and see what @birdleader and the other admins have to say about it, but it sounds like a good idea to me. Since you are the one of the few producing videos, we already have @sheikhoo as the benchmark for the no power-up and @dollarbill2208 for the one with the power-up. Scores that go too above them are suspicious to me. Though last week I was incredibly lucky and beat both of you in Level 2 for 1000 points… :P

I think this conversation can or should take place on a private level. I am personally not very comfortable discussing this kind of experimentation in public, here at ABN. Things can get misconstrued very easily.
@Birdleader is offering us a platform that allows us to communicate privately. Let’s use it.
Just my opinion.

First off, I think this is a brilliant idea that could really help us figure out what kind of scores one can achieve using a cheat. Those score could be logged in a spreadsheet and shared with the admins. II also think @sal9‘s idea is a good one. Maybe we should create a private group for this? That is prob better than using the PM system. I will take care of this and the badges and ranking group early next week.

I have been playing the AB Friends Tournament Levels but not posting my scores. (I play to collect the Mighty Eagles so I will have enough to complete the S&T levels as I will not pay for them.) This perhaps answers @missrtail (see above) re wondering why MEs are gifts in the Tournaments.

I have been reading these posts with much interest. I absolutely detest cheats and it annoys me greatly that they are corrupting the leaderboards. Hopefully, as @birdleader says, “playing them at their own game”, will show what they can achieve and create the approximate benchmark that divides the legitimate scores from the cheats.

Could someone please confirm that Rovio does not know/provide any maxium scores for any games/levels and why not? I think this has been asked before – @amslimfordy, do you know the answer to this please?

@chicadee… ;-) Nice! I like your words. But, you have scratched my curiousity itch – why do you not like posting your scores? Do you have people in your FB land that use cheats. I play against anywhere from 20 -25 people, and while they are all as competitive as I am, none of them have discovered the cheats…YET. Anyway…you don’t have to share your scores with me if you don’t wanna. I was just curious.

This is a reply to PaulAnthony63’s below? post of Jul 8 ’12 at 10.06 am (there was no “reply” button for his post) so I’ve replied to my own post – I think?

Hi Paul/ @plydon,
I don’t post my facebook scores because although they are all 3 stars, none of them (I think – I don’t check anymore), are “above average”. Ever since I joined ABN my rule was to beat the average before posting any scores. When I reached ABO Ham ‘Em High I decided to also strive to be on page one (top 100) of each Leaderboard. It doesn’t always happen but I’m well pleased when it does. Re the facebook comp, I don’t play against anyone as I don’t have enough free time to compete in that as well as play my AB games. I just finished ABO and that took me 6 months. I’ve started Seasons and then there’s RIO and Space and there’ll probably be other new levels besides the two “coming soon” for ABO S&T. I also want to go back to facebook S&T and play it with the ME…..and on it goes. :O I sometimes think I’ll never catch up!

After the 1st shot I had lower score, then I used super seeds for the 2nd bird kicking the woods a little bit lower than in the video, and for the 3rd shot, I directly kicked the wood on top with the bird, after egg releasing… A solid piece fell down destroied almost all the glasses remained…
