Angry Birds Danger Above 3 Star Walkthrough Level 8-5

Danger Above level 8-5 is pretty challenging, but relies mostly on the first shot. Our strategy is to fire the first Red bird into the middle stone atop of the left structure. The stone blocks will fall to the right and break the ice bridge. The entire left structure will topple into the trough. Use the next Red bird or two to trigger the TNT in the right structure. The score in the video below is 83,270.

If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments, as that's what the leaderboards are for.

On this level i got 93,970 and that’s better than the video’s. After you destroy the first half you just hit the bottom of the half.

Aim for the 2nd tower instead of the 1st. Hit the wooden plank holding the pebbles. ( it shifted to the right once, blasting the building, messed up 2nd bird) the 2nd bird same trajectory if the building still stands. The wooden rooftop breaks, a pebbles falls down onto the tnt. The debris breaks trough the glass ceilings and kill the 2 pigs below. The left building collapses since the glass is broken underneath. Hope for the TNT to blow. Did get 66k+3birds left.

This time a bit more collateral damage but same strategy. For I-pad users, fully zoomed, just dragged the bird to the left of the screen in the center of the hill, light blue layer.

Thanks for that, was struggling with this level. Much easier than method shown.

so much better for me than the video this level. no matter where i hit the left block, it just would not break the bridge.

@e-star Thank you for the video and the one-bird strategy. It seemed to work the best for aiming the launch if one was zoomed out. It took awhile but finally got it!!! Gained 9k in points.

Getting a high score for this level requires a one-bird solution, which takes persistence. Aim the red bird at the top of the left tower, to hit minimally above the bottom of the top middle stone. The aim is to knock two large and one small stones to the right so that they fall on and destroy the ice bridge between the two towers, in so doing tilting the left half of the bottom plank of ice so that the left tower itself tilts and collapses to the right. When this happens (not frequently), with some luck the TNT at the bottom of the left tower will explode at the precise moment when the explosion forces some debris into the side of the right tower, collapsing this tower as its own TNT explodes. In addition to having all this occur, one needs some luck in getting extensive destruction of debris to get a top 100 score. Out of 6 one-birdies, I got 105K, 107K twice, 109K twice, and 111K for my best score.

Thanks @e-star, you made that one look so easy! But of course it took me about couple dozen (frustrating) tries flinging that red bird at the same piece of vertical stone. I could get the left tower to explode but the right side was giving me the fits! Then finally, the right tower fell towards the left and blew up. Yeee-haaaaw!!

I’m puzzled as to how your score is not near the very top of the leader board with almost total destruction.

I increased my high score by 16K on the second try using e-star’s strat. Added 1.5 K more after a bunch of tries. Thanks!

Woo hoo! 105,850 – hit the pebbles on top of the first tower just right, they topple and break the glass bridge. If you’ve hit it just right, the first tower collapses, hitting the TNT. The debris hits the second tower, detonates that TNT, and it’s all over.

Haven’t quite managed one bird total destruction. Fired first shot as in E-Star’s video and then needed second bird to take down second tower. Thick vertical wood plank was damaged enough that when hit just below horizontal plank it shattered and TNT exploded. 99810 w/two birds…gonna take that for now. As always that you all for videos and tips!
