Angry Birds Big Setup 3 Star Walkthrough Level 9-10

It is possible to clear Big Setup level 9-10 with a single bird. The best strategy is to fire Big Brother just below the first horizontal stone plank. The bird will continue onward into the base of the main structure, causing it to topple to the right. The score in the video below is 79,900.

If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments, as that's what the leaderboards are for.

This one just didn’t want to get me a nice score. I noticed the amount of damage the big bird did occasionally outbeat the 10k mark. So it’s actually a 2birder that gave me this score.

In another try I should have made a 3birder for 92k, but overshot the final bird by a hair, leaving it at 87k with 1 bird alive.

@z0z0 I noticed the same, but if you just keep at it, the one birdie gave me 88030 :)

Here is my video.

@e-star Thanks for the video. There is a soft spot underneath the horizontal stone plank. Found that if the verticle wood planks are hit head on without hitting any thing else with BB, the damage is minor. It seems that if BB can nip the bottom left corner of the horizontal stone plank it produced scores in the 70k and 80k range. Also tried the 2 and 3 bird shots after slightly missing the soft spot but could not obtain anything higher than the present 88k.

@E-Star — Thanks! Here’s an aiming tip to hit the sweet spot: On iPad fully zoomed in, pull BB back until you see a sliver of yellow between the slings. Now decrease that sliver until a single dot remains, then decrease pixel by pixel until that dot is as small as possible, but still visible.

@kathy you know what to do, keep flinging and keep at it, you will succeed.

This rovi video shows that you can get a better score taking 3 shots.

I played this level using the same first shot as in AMslimfordy & E-Star’s videos. While debris was still moving, I fired the second BB using the ‘bowling ball’ technique thru the debris. It worked for 94,700 points.

Ditto!!! Out of the blue, BB just blew through the entire deck, nearly wiping it clean!

Just scored 96,680, a new high. Again I followed the videos of @AMslimfordy & @e-star. While debris was still moving, I fired a second Terrence across the top of the platform. Second Terrence pushed first Terrence off platform onto debris on far right side. Only 3 pieces of concrete on far left side remained. Happy flinging !!

96010/2 with that. to be specific
1st) i was taking aim by letting a bit of daylight appear in the sling (say 4 dots in a row with the leftmost one a bit detached from the others), the goal is to make it slice through ‘the tunnel’ enough to also bring the right side of the main structure down and hope that that falls into destruction to the right of the platform. frequent;
2nd) the goal is to make it accelerate such that it cleans the debris (and maybe pigs) remaining on the platform. to that end i was sending it to the top of the leftmost vertical stone (should be high enough to bounce on it or a tiny bit lower or higher, to make it accelerate; usually after the 1st the stone is still standing upright and has some damaged wooden planks on it, which is a good thing as it helps). i was taking aim using (the first dot in) the trace (usually) left by the 1st, lowering the bird to (almost) line up its bottom with the bottom of that dot.

don’t know whether it matters/helps or not, but i was waiting with the 2nd as long as possible before time out, the idea being to let the 1st disappear so that the 2nd does not bump into it but continues and to give the structure time to fall down (and self-destruct upon it). however, often no pigs remain and there’s no time for all that, so i was waiting then only a little bit after the right arrow (indicating that all pigs were killed) appeared, before firing. here’s a picture of the final 86k destruction after the 2nd for my (currently) best score of 96k:

as is clear from the picture, in that case there was no time to wait with the 2nd until the 1st had disappeared. have had 90k+ scores every few minutes with this 2-bird strategy, but in fact my previous best of 93k-, as shown in the picture, was obtained with 1 bird (it sliced all the way through coming out of ‘the tunnel’ to the right of the platform; this only happened that one time and i was so amazed then that i was too late to send in a 2nd).

found the above is quite repeatable. now got 97700/2 top score with it after the 2nd sliced through everything, speeding off the platform to the right, enabled by the 1st disappearing timely. here’s the picture of that score:

apart from that score had a similar run (the 2nd slicing through everything and speeding off the platform) with more debris left on the platform, but less to the right, for a 95k score, as well as two 92k+ scores, all within 30 minutes of play. i think that 100k+ is both possible and doable, after a 1st leaving less debris to the right of the platform (as any debris left there after the 1st will not be taken out by 2nd speeding off the platform).

btw in the description of the 2nd above, it’s the bottom of the /SLING/ that should be lined up with the dot, not the bottom of the /BIRD/. sorry for any confusion.
